When is this phone going to get fixed?

What is going to be done for us customers who have bought this phone?  When is it going to get fixed?
This phone has had issues since day one for a lot of us.  Many of us are outside the 14-day return period so many of us are up a creek when it comes to returning the phone for another phone.  Including myself.
I don't want to sound like I'm complaining.  The phone is a great phone, I love the featureset and I love the LTE network.  Many of us wouldn't want to go back to a non-LTE phone including myself.
We know that Gingerbread is coming soon and that with it comes a promised fix for all these issues, including a fix for the dropping signal issue which has to be the biggest issue that all of us Droid Charge users are having.  All we ask is when we can expect this to be released to us.  A lot of the older phones are getting Gingerbread before this phone.  Why?  This phone is new, shouldn't we expect it to be the first phone on the block to get Gingerbread?  It only makes sense to have this phone get Gingerbread before every other phone.
It is after all, Verizon's "flagship" phone.  The one that Verizon is marketing the heck out of on television and the Internet with their "Rule the Air" commercials.
Some say that Gingerbread is being held up by Samsung because of issues with the new TouchWiz.  Personally, I don't care about the new TouchWiz.  Release the update without the new TouchWiz and get these immediate issues fixed then release a point-1 upgrade with the new TouchWiz when it's ready for release.

I can understand your frustration, although I am one of the seeming lucky minority of Charge owners that have relatively few problems with the phone.  I live in a 3G only area, but occasionally travel into 4G-NYC for meetings and have not experienced the switching/dropping problems that many others complain of.  Based on your location, I am guessing you have 4G in your area, but can't take full advantage because of the switching/dropping problem.
I would not count too heavily on the next iteration of the OS to solve the problem.  As far as I know, no one has definitively identified the source of the issue; it could be software, but it could also be the hardware in the phone, most possibly the radios or the antenna (remember the iPhone "death grip" problem?).
I hope Android 2.3.x is released soon and that it solves the problem.  But I would not count on either of those things too much.

    Contact Apple using www.apple.com/support/contact if you are in a country that supports it or call the appropriate phone number on this page. Alternatively carry the iPhone in to an Apple retail store or service provider.

    Even after all this time the IDE still performs absymally.
    (I am writiing this after trying to run project and getting gery screen!!)
    Still having to shut down via task manager about 10 times a day !!
    Its such a pity the IDE takes away from a functionality rich app.

    I haven't heard of the Visual Web Pack yet. Is it basically Creator embedded in NetBeans?
    Yesterday I had to shutdown the task processes as the IDe has just hung. And that was only trying to run the porject. I have a top of the range dev pc with 2gb. I have adjusted all the xms settings in domain.xml,etc.
    I have been going on about the IDE for over a year now. Whilst the latest releases are a massive improvement, there is still that sluggishness and unpredictablity of whether it will last one hour without giving me problems.
    Still for all its faults, it is still a great tool.

  • Adobe Send - Problem with uploading files. When is this going to get fixed?

    When is the Adobe Send problem with uploading files going to get fixed. Similar to others - I have tried and tried to make Adobe Send work and get an error. I have tried to upload the file and it looks like it uploads and then - it is nowhere to be found.
    I then go to Adobe Send Now and it works fine.

    The problem is the same as described in other similar threads.
    I have a 57 MB PowerPoint file I am trying to send using Adobe Send. I go through the normal steps to identify the file and select recipients and then send the file. After the file completes the upload - an error saying there was a problem comes up and the file is not uploaded.
    I have tried to upload the file to the site with similar results - error and the file doesn't go.
    I can go to the old SendNow site and it works flawlessly.
    If I need to get screenshots - let me know. There are several other threads describing this same problem. It isn't something new or not heard of before.

    Only if it's a POP3 server. IMAP and Exchange synchronize the server and all clients.

    Sorry, quite right.  My note was not helpful, just plain frustrated.  the sync does not hold.  So the phone keeps trying to establish the synchronization.   Thus, it zero's out the emails and intermittently does not hold the calendar, the phone shows the calendar unchecked.  When you manually recheck the calendar it begins to sync.  There was quite a lot of blogging about the issues of exchange and the iphone.  Also contacts will revert to telphone numbers only with the name of the individuals disappearing. After sync is restablished everything looks normal and then when it losses synchronicity, it starts all over again.   It is happening as I type.  There were a nbr of user suggestions about how to maintain stablility with synchronicity.   However, none of the issues resolved the matter.  I have spoken with my IT department.   What settings do you have for exchange....what version of exchange.   I also heard the apple dismissed its chief overseeing this aspect of the iphone 5 because of the issues. 
    Apple is very unhelpful....

  • When Will Samsung Verizon or who ever is really in charge of screwing up thousands and thousands of cell phones going to be fixed?

    So if it is Samsung, Verizon or Google that is the reason behind the screwed up update that was full of bugs that just are creating havoc and destroying phones, then when are they going to fix it. I know another month like this and I will have to pay to cancel my contract because I can not successfully run a business using a phone that Verizon and Samsung screwed up. They seem to know this is an important issue and causing a PR nightmare for Verizon, but when will there be a fix? I need my phone. Pretty soon my (removed) garbage phone won't even be able to call 911 for help because I am sure the update fudged that up too. Why should I pay for a phone that does not work, I held up my end of the contract why can't Verizon hold up their end of the deal on a contract THEY wrote?

    I also have questions about the Samsung Galaxy Note II.  I stopped in the Verizon store & they couldn't give me much help, they had to make a call to find out the "how to's"   I tried to watch videos on you tube, but that took  way too much time.  I know this phone is awsome, but I'm only using the basics, I don't want to click on things that are not free.  I was told that NFL was a monthly charge, VZ navigator too.

  • When Are iCal Alerts Going to be Fixed?

    The iCal alert problem! Those of us with busy daily schedules, set events in iPhone iCal to be reminded at certain times. The problem is the pathetic little "chirp" that goes off for an iCal event, will NOT get your attention. You can't hear it, and it only goes off once. Let us assign one of the ringtones as the iCal event alert instead of that pathetic little "chirp". Also, add a repeat every 15 seconds to the alert, so it goes off every 15 seconds until you press "OK or Cancel" (up to 30 minutes would be good). I can't tell you how many meetings I've missed, scheduled calls to make I've missed, when to take medicines I've missed, and so on. I setup the iCal schedule on the desktop iMac (usually for the month), which syncs to the iPhone. I know several busy people that have this same complaint. This has been a complaint since 2009, and reported several times, when is it going to be fixed? I would love to upgrade from the 3GS to the 4, but if this isn't fixed, I will have to use another brand. I really don't want to, but this feature is too important.

    This question is posted here to give others the opportunity to answer, with possible workarounds, until Apple fixes it.
    This question also serves as another way to point the problem out to Apple, and possibly get one of their employees to offer an answer or workaround. The whole purpose of this forum is "Support" via "Apple Discussions". If we "discuss" the problem, someone may find the answer. The feedback has already been left about this, by more than one person, since 2009. The only way to deal with this problem, is to let people talk about it.

    4 years ago we signed up to BT I took 4/5 weeks to get connected after many countless lies of 24 hours or next day. 4 weeks ago we alerted BT to our change or house on the 27th october, giving them 4 weeks to sort us out, they guaranteed we'd be up and running on the 28th an engineer was coming round to sort us out. After he left I connected the router and nothing. .. After an hour on the phone I was told I have a fault on our line and could be 24/48 hours.. I know where this is going, I need this sorting ASAP as in today or tomorrow at the latest, we gave you a months notice to sort us out and you guaranteed we'd be connected. Why is this problem only with bt?

  • I still can't be on a phone call and use data without wifi on my Droid Turbo.  I thought this was going to be fixed by late November.

    I am so disappointed.  I am a long time Droid user and research the Droid Turbo for several months before purchasing.  I even read the reviews that indicated that there was a issue when attempting to use the phone calling feature and data at the same time.  I called Verizon and talked with a rep. who indicated that he had the new phone and assured me that this issue had been fixed.  Unfortunately, when I received the phone this was not the case.  Even an update shortly after purchase still did not fix this issue.  All of my Droids before this did not have this issue...how can a newer more improved phone?  I even called Motorola and the English of the representative was so bad that I could not overcome the language barrier therefore no solution was reached.  Wish I had my Razr HD back :{

    I can understand the concern CCONLEY.   Go to Settings>Advanced Calling> and select Activate Advanced Calling or contact Customer Service to get the features added. Once added Reboot device and go back to Setting>Advanced Calling>and ensure the Advanced Calling switch is set to On.     The Nokia NSU V1.7.3 en. us is all screwed up..Reason I say this is beacause I have a Nokia 6301 and a Nokia 5310..I updated the software on my 6301 and the wi-fi won't work anymore,updated the 5310 and I can't get Gmail App. or Yahoo!Go to work anymore,both saying a certificate missing or invalid.. I've updated both phones before this version of the NSU and never had any problems untill this version..I hope someone from Nokia reads this post and gets the problems straightened out Soon..

    NSU simply delivers the firmware to your phone.  If you upgrade your phone and you find features added/missing/changed, then it is the firmware you should suspect, not NSU.
    Since you have a T-Mobile branded phone, then NSU is delivering you firmware updates customized by T-Mobile.  If your wifi stopped working, blame them, not NSU.
    Also, this is a user to user forum.  Nokia employees do not read this except for to moderate (foul language, miscategorized posts, ...).

  • When is Pages 5 going to be fixed? I require alternating gutters for facing pages, and Pages 5 refuses to do what the previous version of the program did. Quite frankly, this is a problem that MUST be addressed by Apple programmers!

    You have another issue. I have both Pages '09 v4.3 and Pages 5.1 running fine on Mavericks OSX 10.9.1.
    Pages 5 is slow but neither Pages crashes.
    If you are getting crashes you need to validate your fonts and check which documents are having the problem.
    It also helps to know versions and how you installed your software.
    Create your own post, don't jump onto another.

    After upgrading to aperture 3.3 on mountain lion aperture no longer recognizes DNG files. 
    I have many DNG files already in my library.  Aperture shows the thumbnail and will briefly flash what I think is the preview of the file but quickly changes to a gray triangle saying "unsupported image format".  After which the thumbnail is replaced with an all black thumbnail.
    Needless to say this is extremely disconcerting.  I am concerned that aperture is not only refusing to display the existing DNG files but is also simultaneously corrupting the library and destroying my existing images.
    fwiw, these DNG files were generated with a leica.
    I have not attempted to import DNG images into my aperture library but I assume that would not go well.

    if it is the native raw format, that no longer is recognized, then try, if registering the CoreTypes.bundle with the OS again will help. This will tell MacOS which raw format types (and other media types) are supported.
    Open a Terminal window and paste following line into the window, hit return. This is one very long line:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -R /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library

    P.S: Some browsers cause a blank to be inserted between /Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions
    But it is "LaunchServices.framework", without blank. All in one line - the only blanks are needed between "lsregister" and "-R" and after "-R" .
