When it's time to Replace Sensor, then....?????
Okay, let's say I've used up the battery in my sensor and it's time to get a new one. What happens to my running info once I get the new sensor?
I.E.
If on Wednesday I use my first sensor for the last time, then on Thursday I use my second one, is the info from yesturday still compatible with today's new info? Like tracking your milage, or does the cycle start over?
Thank you for the post and the link, I did read that in the FAQ's. I'm curious if you just add another sensor if it'll save that data seperately from the other data, since it came from a different sensor[runner] or if you'll have the option to link it to your current info.

When is it time to replace a Macbook?
I bought my Macbook in 2008. I use it heavily (10+ hours a day, 6 days a week) but it mainly stays on my desk. It's well past its extended warranty. It's getting a few minor quirks but basically still works well. I've seen a lot of comments that Macbooks *can* run a long time, but how much risk am I running that it will suddenly crash and burn? I don't want that to happen in the middle of a deadline project, it wouldn't be fair to my customers. I'm running OS 10.6.8 and using Microsoft Office 2011 and Creative Suite CS6, and everything I need is working OK. Am I skating on thin ice here, or is this really marvellous workhorse likely to keep on working? Obviously, nobody can predict the future, but what's a reasonable risk here?
Thanks!If everything is working well for you, but you want to minimize risk, preemptively replace the hard drive, as they can start to fail in the 3-5 year range. Depending on your data space needs and wallet, you could replace it with an SSD, for improved performance. Otherwise, I'd consider a Western Digital Scorpio Black drive, which is one of the few drives that comes with a 5 year warranty (most manufacturers have been reducing the warranty term in recent years).
If you want some data, install SMART Utility and look at the SMART sensors to see if there is any preliminary indication of any hardware issues. -
i downloaded carbon copy. transferred entire internal hd to new replacement HD thru USB adapter kit. computer booted from replacement hrdrive. then i erased the internal hardrive and reloaded the operating system.( i needed to find out if the hard drive was bad or virus/worm was the cause). then installed replacement hard drive into iMac. when rebooting, imac did not recognized new replacement hd. i also upgraded memory at the same time. ok what did i do wrong. do i have to remove the new replacement hardrive to extract the data.
It should not matter. CCC will "clone" the recovery partition as well, but not knowing exactly what operation you had CCC perform it is difficult to know what may have gone wrong - it has many customizable options and you have to choose the correct one.
I have performed the same transplant as you described and didn't have a problem, but if your Mac is not recognizing the internal HD you really have no choice other than to reinitialize it as suggested. After that, install OS X, upgrade to Mountain Lion if required, and migrate your old account(s) from your backup.

I assume you didn't mean that literally. Have redundant backups - don't "back up your backups". -

When do i know it is the right time to replace the battery on my ipod?
i do not know if my ipod ever had the ability to deliver 16 hours of playback as the system spec claimed, but right now after more than a year's use and almost always leaving on the charger when i am home, i can get about 10 hours continous playback at best.
i am pretty sure that my battery is in the decline phase of its life cycle. when i am transferring pics with my camera connector, it would go way down to the red, then kick back to green once my camera connector is off. in addition, if i leave it off the charger, it would eat up its battery capacity up sooner than i would have guessed.
my question is really two phase:
1)when do you people usually replace your battery.
2)with the ipod photo feeling like brick, should i even bother? perhaps a new ipod video would be the way to go?
any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.The reason your iPod's battery is only lasting 10 hours could very well be that your iPod's battery is going. They say that an iPod's battery can undergo 500 charge cycles or charging the battery fully 500 times. I don't know how old your iPod is, but I have a 4G iPod, and I get about 5-6 hours out of a proposed 12. you can try the iPod battery test here:

Showing Yellow icons after every 15 to 20 Min and internet stop working.when we enable- disbale the network connection then will internet start working fine.Some time network connection is disable but when we renable that connection it will stuck on enabling

So switch a LAN card fix this issue...seems a compatibility issue or maybe some packs or programs you installed recently cause this issue.
Have you manually check the network adapter driver from the PC's manufacture website? sometimes, it will be a time delay before Microsoft push out the driver update.
Check if issue exists in safemode with network, this mode will launch Windows with limited sets of files and drivers.
if you have a restore point, restore the pc to a previous point at which the pc is functioning fine.

The iMessages are "pushed" to the devices which means there can be small delays between the server recognising the device went Off Line and coming back.

Sensor Battery Died- Problem Linking Replacement Sensor
I had a great experience with my NikePlus sensor the first time around. The training program option on nikeplus.com has been great to keep me motivated, and so far I have lost 30 pounds! Then the sensor battery died...
I have gotten a new sensor and receiver for my 3rd generation ipod, but it is having problems linking with the sensor. I use a velco pack on the laces rather than spend the money on the Nike+ shoes and it wasn't a problem with the first sensor. The set up is still the same, but now the replacement sensor isn't reading properly. The replacement sensor is linked to the nano, but the pace zeros out. As an example, today I ran 2.5 miles and it only read .07 miles since the pace was 0.00 the majority of the time.
I want to get back on track, but can't figure out how to fix this. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm not sure if it is related to my nano being linked to another (my original) sensor, or if it is just a bad sensor.
Help!My wife had the same problem with her Nano 3rd Gen iPod and Nike Sensor. She is using a pair of Nike shoes with the sensor pocket (not the most comfortable shoes, ... but that's another story). The battery died on the sensor after 3 months of fairly regular use. We took the sensor in to the Apple Store and they were kind enough to provide her with a replacement free of charge.
We got back home and the new sensor will not sync with the receiver/iPod. I am OK with buying a $19 sensor (OK, but not at all thrilled) every 3-6 months if it provides the type of enthusiasm and incentive to workout that my wife has enjoyed. But to have to purchase the sensor and the receiver every 2-3 months is a joke.
With the great minds at both Nike and Apple, they should be able to provide a sustainable product with a replaceable battery with more consistent life. I have read many reviews and the battery on the sensor lasts anywhere from 2 months to 14 months. That is a horrible variation in performance for a high tech piece of electronics.
If you are close to an Apple Store, I would return the sensor and demand a free replacement. Perhaps when Apple gets a thousands of the sensors piling up in their storerooms they will increase the reliability. -
I have a new time capsule (replace my old time capsule). I want to erase my old one. My computer does not see the old one anymore, how do I connect it (the old TC is not connected to modem). I want to erase it and then use it as either a second hard drive (sired/sirelesly?) or as a hard drive/bridge. So,
1. why doesn't my cmputer see the old TC
2 once i have solved that, how do I erase the old one
3. Can I use the old one as a supplemental hard drive
a. wired?
b. wirelessly?
4. Can I use the old one as a range extender?
I know .. a lot of questions but I would appreciate any help.

1. Because it is either the same IP as the new one or hidden by being plugged in as a second router.
To access it, isolate one computer from the existing network and plug it directly by ethernet to a lan port of the TC. Use the erase function in the TC to remove all the content of the hard disk.
Then go to the internet tab, connection sharing and select off bridged. You can then reconnect the TC to the network.. and the computer as well. The TC will act as bridged device.. getting IP from the main router and should then appear correctly in Airport utility.
2. I covered in 1. But you just go in airport utility manual setup. disk, and you will see the erase function. You can also set it to bridge and leave the erase until you put it back in the network.. but be careful you erase the right one.
3. You can use the old TC via wired or wireless.. although I would always stick to wired connection if possible. Speed on wireless is 10x worse than wired.
Also note the reliability goes down dramatically after 2 years.. a series 1 3 years old or more is ebay fodder unless you want to repair it. Do not trust vital data to it.. when it dies you will have issues recovering it.
4. Yes, all apple routers will function as wireless extenders. when you do that the ethernet ports turn off so it becomes a purely wireless device.. strange apple decision on what you want to use your TC for. -

I have created a job using dbms_scheduler.create_job with a 1 hour window ( created using dbms_scheduler.create_window ) .
My job triggers a stored procedure . Now I have a send_mail code at the end of the stored procedure which sends a mail with plsql log as an attachment . When my job runs more than 1 hour the stored proc is getting stopped and not triggering the mail though I put the same code in exception block ( exception when others ) .
