Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. You can only import photos from the camera roll into the computer. Is that the album that you are seeing?
Any albums that you create on the device itself (the iPad that is) cannot be transferred to your computer. iPad created albums do not contain copies of your photos but merely pointers to those photos so they do not actually exist in those albums.

If you use iTunes' default settings then when you add a file to iTunes it places a copy of the file in the iTunes media folder and it leaves the original in place. The exception is when you drag it to the Automatically Add To iTunes folder.
It does not convert the file. You can delete the original if you wish.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

At the moment when you open a RAW-file from Adobe Bridge by double-clicking, RAW-file is opened only in Photoshop. In the settings Adobe Bridge - in "open RAW-files by double-clicking in Adobe Camera Raw» box is checked. When you try any changes in the settings Adobe Bridge system displays a message:
Bridge's parent application is not active. Bridge requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature.

No, it will wipe it when they try to connect it to a computer and set it up under their own Apple ID. When they turn on the device the first time without connecting it to anything they will be able to see the video.

You cannot upgrade from v6 to v7 without purchasing iLife 08.
Can you give more details about your crashing issue. Make of camera etc.,
You can start with the troubleshooting basics:
1. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility
2. Delete the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder. You'll need to reset your User options afterwards.
3. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts), create an iPhoto library there and see if the problem is repeated. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

Workflow/Automator to identify library when iTunes opens

Is there a way to use Automator/workflow to request which library to select when iTunes opens?
Here is my situation: I have 2 libraries one for me and one for my wife. My wife does not use a computer so I have not set up a separate user ID for her. Instead both libraries are under my user ID. Currently I need to select the "option" key when iTunes opens to request a library to open. Is there a way to use Automator/workflow to automate this process? I opened Automator but this is not one of the predefined items.

I have never heard of a way of dong this. If you're clever with computers you might be able to come up with a key comination or small automator app that does the equivalent of holding down the option key/alt key while clicking on the iTunes app, so you'd start iTunes with your own app, not directly.

When I open a pdf document from my dropbox to view it, the document shows up blank, even though it is filled out. This also happened with pdf documents that have been e-mailed to me.

When I open emails with PDFs I click on the attachment (doing this all on my iPad) it gives me the option to "open in iBooks", I accept then after that the document is sucked into my iPad but I can't do anything with the PDF after that. Where is the actual file on my iPad? Why can't I email or send these PDFs to my cloud (Dropbox)?
It's like once they go into iBooks they're stuck forever.
