When listening to music on my iPhone 4S, the music stops when the screen fades. I am not using my earphones. Can someone suggest some ear buds that will work with my iPhone4S? The Apple ones do not fit...too small.

I downloaded iTunes on my computer with windows 7. when I try to add my music to my iphone it says cannot connect to the iphone store
Is this a new computer?
Have you transferred your library to it?
Have you authorised the computer to your Apple ID?
Are there app or media items on the device that aren't on your computer?
I suspect if there is any protected content involved anywhere in the mix, apps for example, that iTunes will want to "phone home" to check.
If you haven't transferred your library see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

My artists are showing up as Various artists when I sync music with my iPhone 4S, even though in iTunes the song tags have been changed.
Am I missing something?
For example, I have 3 songs that are part of a compilation CD. I've change them to no longer being part of a compilation, and changes all of the tags of Arist and Album artist to the artists name, however they still show up as 'Various Artists' on my iPhone.
Any ideas?You may find you need to remove the songs and then add them back again.

Had the same issue with my Nissan Rogue 2011.
This listed below will fix it...
Go to General > Restrictions > CarPlay -- Make sure Carplay is DISABLED. (The new IOS 8 enables this on default)
Go to General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
The Nissan Rogue radio system was never designed to work with CarPlay. By default, CarPlay feature comes enabled when you install IOS 8. Suckz, right?

It looks like your might have signed up for iTunes Match.
Good to know
When you enable iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and replaced with your music in iCloud.
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
By default, when you add an iOS device to iTunes Match, the option to download over a cellular network isn't enabled1. To enable downloading over a cellular network for iTunes Match, choose Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On.
When you use iTunes Match on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC, it will be associated with the Apple ID you use for iTunes Match. Learn more about subscribing to iTunes Match.

What I suggest is that you move your music from your old laptop to your new one by following the steps below:

After that, you can then add iTunes match on your computer, or turn off iTunes Match on your iPhone, and then sync your iPhone as you would normally with your new computer.

I have recently updated the iTunes in order to update both my iPhone and iPad to ISO5.0. unfortunately, after the updated, my iPhone is no longer playing any music. whenever i go to play music on my iPhone it just reverts back to the playlist or it keeps running through song to song. But still, no music is on.
I tried to re-sync the music library, error mesage prop up,
"The iPhone 'xfdsarw' could not be synced because the sync session failed to start"
I delete the iTunes and download it again. Then, I restore my iPhone to the version before ISO 5.0. After, I do the updated again. However, the problem still exists. What should I do? Please advise. I cant believe that iPhone cannot play iTunes!!!!
How come, apple acts like Microsoft? I saw this problem had existed in the developer stages back to the past summer. Then, you guys didnt fix it before the release of ISO 5.0. Hopeless. i did what you have suggested to unsync the music and then re-sync again. should i try to cancel all the music in the library and then restore them again. can it work? i dont want to bet coz reloading so much music is very trouble. -
I tried updating iphone 6 to 8.1.3 But the phone went dead. I have tried using restore options - both update and erase, but the process stops when it tries to update Iphone firmware.
Put your phone in DFU mode,
Hold the Power Button (3 secs)
Continue holding the power button and also hold the home button (15 secs)
Release the power button while continuing to hold the home button (10 secs)
Your device should prompt with the "Connect to iTunes Screen"

Since the upgrade to IOS7, the default phone label when adding new contacts in my iPhone 5 is "Radio". Previously the default was "Mobile". It is a hassle as when my iPhone contacts are synched with Outlook via Exchange, the phone number I've entered on the iPhone doesn't show on the default Outlook view as it is a "Radio" number rather than a "Mobile", "Work", "Home", etc number. It is still stored both on the iPhone & in Outlook & I can still use the number to phone or SMS, it is just incorrectly labelled & hence the source of frustration.

Before last week I had no problems about it (I had wifi all the time, even when I did'nt use my iphone, and now (when I came back from holiday) it does'nt go anymore. i have purchased iphone 4 8gb in india. i have heard that when the company stops manufacturing the current phone, they replace it with 4s. is it true? can i get it replaced with iphone 4s 16gb or can i get it upgraded with iphone 16gb because 8gb is very less memory for me coz it hangs up all the time and apps dont work properly. any scheme where i can pay a bit and get it exchanged with any of them?
Probably not. If you want to purchase a new phone, then you'll have to sell your old one to fund your purchase of a new phone.
As for iPhones, the phone that they will stop making is the iPhone 5. This will not be made or sold any longer, because it has been replaced by the iPhone 5c and 5s. You should still be able to get and iPhone 4 and 4s, although the iPhone 4 is old now in technology standards.
To get a new phone though, you will likely have to sell your old phone to fund the purchase of a new one. This is what most folks do. -
