When loading CS2 I lost all OS 9 printing capabilities

This may be in the wrong category,, but it could fall in a number of places:
I believe it's a first Gen G5 currently running OSX 10.3.9, and has always (Im user #2 on the machine) been running OS 9 concurrently. A while ago I installed Adobe CS2, at the time I lost all printing. I was able to regain OSX printing but anything from OS 9 refused to print. This is a problem that I have found a way around but would really like to know why?

If you have your contacts in Outlook or Address Book you should be able to sync them back.  If you only had them on your phone, and if you backed up your iPhone by syncing with iTunes before you went to the Apple store, you might be able to extract your contacts from this old backup using 3rd party software such as: http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com/.

    If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
    I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it.

    Since adding microsoft exchange I sunced my phone and lost all of my old contact, notes. etc.  Also, when I do get a text message it appears as a number instead of a name.  What did I do wrong and can I get my old info restored.  When I tried restoring it only gave me the same thing.

    That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation.  A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number.  I suggest you turn iMessage off.  In settings/phone turn on dial assist.  Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage.  Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

    1 - reloading iPhoto does not affect your photos - they are in teh iPhoto library
    2 - even if you have a problem you surely always have a good backup - if you don't you are guaranteed to lost your photos and all other files sooner or later
    3 - If you have iphone and IOS 5 questions teh iPhone forum is a great place to ask

    If you want to restore your phone to a backup on your computer, connect your phone to iTunes, right-click on the name of your phone on the left side and select Restore from Backup.  However, contacts are often not recoverd from a backup; maybe you'll get lucky though.

    I backed my phone upto itunes and tranfered all Purchases so they where on my itunes account and phone I then retored my phone to the back up and all my data, and apps where lost, can i get my apps, music ect back as some where paid for

    iTunes does ask you whether you want to sync your iPod with your iTunes library when you initially set things up, and if you okay all of this, then it means you have to be extra cautious to keep things you can't afford to lose in your iTunes library as well as backed up elsewhere.

    I bought an Ipad 2 some years back and never hooked it up to my computer (somehow). I was now to update the Ios on it, but when doing that I lost all the music I bought in Itunes.

  • Lost all printing with Leopard a few months ago, need to fix, please help.

    I think all of my printing capabilities went away a few months ago when i updated to 10.5.6. haven't been able to fix it on my own.
    I have a hp 130 and a konica 6500 with a ic-304 creo. the hp is set up from a windows printer server and connected through a networked ethernet. the creo is pretty much its own print server with ip address, also available through the windows print server.
    I go to add my printer, enter in the ip address, or browse, choose my driver, add printer, ect. if I am able to accomplish those tasks, then i attempt a print, only to have the que instantly stopped, and i can't get it to resume printing or to print.
    for the last few months, i've been using a tiger laptop, a virtual XP on the macpro, the Xp box on the konica printer and a thin client PC to print. but I'd really like to regain print functionality on the macpro and not have to deal with windows anymore.
    have tried those weird security login things that pop up when i try to resume printing: (server/username), (username/server), (guest), updating firmware, re-installed drivers.
    please help, I really don't understand security, or how to make it work with printing, or bypass it entirely. i don't know how to get printing back.
