When logging into FaceTime I get an error message and it will not log in.

After downloading Lion, when I tried to log into FaceTime it kept giving me an error message,
'The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later.'
This is with multiple AppleIDs and my ID works on other machines.

Many thanks for that. Had been going through this list yesterday and now again today:
Ref Solution 1: Lightroom is at its latest update
Ref Solution 2: It's interesting how I cannot find the Preferences file anywhere on my mac. (new mac pro, OS 10/9.2) . . .
Ref Solution 3: Lightroom doesn't allow me to do anything after the error message appears
Ref Solution 4: don't have any Nik Software plug-ins
Ref Solution 5: checked permissions and changed all to "Read & Write" - makes no difference
Ref Solution 6: I don't have a different user account on my mac.
Not sure what else to do.

Maybe the preferences file is corrupted. You should be able to find the Word preferences file in the folder:
your user name/Library/Preferences
Its name is com.microsoft.Word.plist
I suggest you drag this another folder and try Word again.
If that doesn't work then you might find clearing the cache files will fix the problem. You can do this manually but I never bother. Instead I use a program like Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner (shareware) or Onyx (free). These programs do lots of other maintenance jobs so it's worth having at least one of them.

When opening Firefox I get a Java Scripts error message and Firefox will not always open

When opening Firefox browser I get an error message from JavaScript Application: "TypeError:components{cid} is undefined. Sometimes the Firefox browser will not open; sometimes it does. Very annoying!!

This can be caused by an add-on that says it is compatible with Firefox 4 but isn't quite compatible. When displaying PDF in IE9, get blank error message and black display

Frequently when attempting to load PDF pages in IE9, I get an error message box with no text and an OK button and the display of the document is just black.
Usually, if I click Reload enough times, eventually it will display. What is happening here, and why is there no message in the message box?

Though, the blank dialog box can be a result of multiple versions of Acrobat and Reader. What is the version of Acrobat/Reader you have, btw?

HT4356 When I try to set up my itouch I get an error message itunes store unknown error 310. I don't have wieless so I hooked the ipod touch up to the computer with the USB port when instructed. But then get the error message and can not get any further.

Error message 310 is happening on my mac book and I am unable to set up my new itouch.

If you are running Tiger, you don't have time machine.
You need to get something like SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner (sorry, I don't have a handy link for CCC but you can Google it to get their site) to make a clone of your drive on the external and then do incremental backups. The free versions do a lot and you can upgrade to the full-service versions for small change if you need more. The one time I used SuperDuper! for cloning a volume it worked just fine.
(My backup application is the last PPC capable version of Retrospect, which does a credible job, or has over the past ten-twelve years.)

I am unable to burn CDs with songs recently purchased from itunes. No problem before. When I try to burn a playlist with new songs, I get the error message that "songs will not it on 1 audio CD". If I remove all songs except the new one, it will burn.

I am unable to burn CD's with the last 4 songs I've purchased from the iTunes store. I can burn CD's from playlist using previously purchased songs with no problem. With a normal length playlist including 1 of the newly purchased songs, I get the message "songs will not fit on one CD". I can remove all but the new song and 1 other and the CD will burn. I have upgraded to the latest version of iTunes and still have the problem.

I have that EXACT same problem! I have no idea what to do though, but it is very mucho frustrating. Let me know if you find out anything, and I will do the same.

Error message - and iTunes will not play anything at all

After scouring forums for similar issues, I have tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of iTunes with MacAfee firewall disabled. Nada. iTunes starts with an error message saying 'Configuration error, audio and video files may not play back correctly' (or similar). Library comes up and I can see my recent purchases, but nothing will play. Frustrating to say the least.
I am Windows 7, I have McAfee and Malwarebytes running.
What else can I try? This is extra infuriating as I have just purchased five albums of new music.

I can load my Numbers "My Templates" onto my ipad Air running ios 8 using iCloud, but when I try to do the same thing with my iphone 5s also running ios8, I get an error message and they do not load. What to do?

I am referring to the "My Templates" folder where I have designed my own specific templates. It loaded fine for iPad Air but confusingly, once it is on iCloud it does not seem to be accessible by my iPhone. So I tried the same process which entails finding the com.apple.numbers file and emailing the files; selecting them on iPhone then telling them to be opened by Numbers. Numbers will ask if you want them to be added to Templates. I said yes and after a brief attempt it returns the message that it cannot load the templates, an error occurred, but there is no reference as to what that error might be nor how to fix it.

To anyone who has viewed this post and is having similar difficulties, the answer came on a different forum: I dragged & dropped the files from Mail to iCloud Drive. Opened them on my MB Air, they were saved in Templates and are now accessible across all my devices.

Downloading the latest iTunes software to my PC without getting an error message and losing access to my existing programme. anyone else getting this problem?

I get the message that the latest software version is available, when I download it I get an error message and lose access to my existing programme. The only way I can use iTunes again is to restore my PC to before the download. Any ideas out there?
