When making a slideshow, can you focus on a part of a picture and zoom out?

I'm trying to make a slideshow through Keynote for a friend's dad's memorial and we have these big group high school pictures that would be fun to have it zoomed in on their dad and then zoom out to display the whole picture before it moves on to the next slide. Is there any way that this can happen in keynote?? Or even vice versa? Have it zoom into the dad? I looked in the side panel that has the transition options and such but couldn't find anything that might focus on a point and zoom out? Thank you for your help!
Easiest way is to use a Magic Move.
on slide 1 place the full image on the slide
click on the slide in the Navigator panel and duplicate the slide, (command D)
with slide 1 selected, set this slide as a magic mov; Inspector > Transitions > Magic Move.
On slide 2, resize and reposition the photo at a larger size.

When making a call if you do not roll the screen to home if you have the phone to close to your face it touches the mute or speaker buttons. Is there a setting in the phone that will automatically roll the screen so if you touch with your face it does not happen?
There is a sensor that disables the screen when you hold the phone to your face. If you didn't remove the plastic film from the front of the phone, or you have a case on the phone, it can block that sensor and you will encounter the symptom you describe. So try removing any case and check for the shipping film (which is hard to see).

There are so many things that can give - multiplex error
Two very common ones
• Using letters other than A to Z or 0 to 9 eg. / # ; etc. in texts, titles, buttons or alike's.
• Turn on TV-Safe area in iDVD and secure that no text or object goes past this or even touching it.

In iMovie 11, how can you cut/paste a clip that has subtitles and actually have the subtitles get cut/pasted. When I try, the subtitles disappear into the void and I have to do the subtitling all over again.

Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can reset the questions.

Yes but how are they going to create the Landscape versions?
The problem with doing it in Pages '09 as rotated content is that the Headers and Footers are not rotated and there is inherent clumsiness in the rotated content usually being too large for the page when viewed at 90°.
Best to make it in two or more separate documents.

How can you shrink the size of an upright picture to make it smaller without losing any of the detail in it (in Slideshow)??? At the moment, if I view them on my Mac Laptop, landscape photos fill the screen, but portrait photos only show the middle part, so I loose the top and bottom of the picture. Have tried cropping, but that means I lose top and bottom part of the picture, so that is not the answer!!

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101. -

Can you safely power off a 5th generation AirPort and an attached disk drive without losing data?
I'd like to just be able to shut it down by tripping off the power strip the disk and airport are attached to with my toe so they're not sucking down power at night or when I'm at work. I wouldn't mind a sequence of power down the computers on the net first and then 'toeing off' the AirPort+disk.
I'm just wondering how quickly between the time that I power off the mac that the airport would flush all of its buffers. -

No you don't. You log into iTunes with your Apple ID but you can use one Apple ID for iTunes and a different Apple ID for iCloud. On your device go:
Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and sign in with a new Apple ID
This will only change the Apple ID for iCloud and both devices will continue to download apps and backup to the shared iTunes account.
