When mouse pointer changes from arrow to cursor it starts to flicker

I am running Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop (P500-ST5807).
When the mouse pointer changes from arrow to cursor it starts to flicker. The problem seemed to start after I clicked "hide pointer while typing". I tried unchecking "hide pointer while typing" but this did not correct the problem. I have also tried adjusting the touchpad settings to less sensitive -- this did not help either. I have searched the internet and all types of "cursor flicker" seems to be a common problem.
Would anyone have a simple solution?

I went to "view" then "toolbars" and de-selected "yahoo toolbar" and then moved the curser over my firefox page and it now works completely including the problem area (the top 3 cm of each screen). Mouse Pointer Randomly Changes From Arrow to Pen

A few weeks before I upgraded to Lion, I noticed my mouse pointer started changing from an arrow image, into that of a pen. When I upgraded to Lion, it carried over in the same manner. It doesn't happen all the time and I can't seem to find any explanation for when it happens. Anyone ever seen this? I've checked all the system preferences, including Universal Access and can't find any settings that would have caused it to do this. Any suggestions?

Which program or application are you using when this happens?
The mouse pointer changes depending on the type of content on the screen. If the pointer is over a link which can be clicked, it appears as a pointing finger. If it is over text which can be selected, it becomes an "I" (rhymes with "eye") so that you can select text or click at a certain point in the text.

Sometimes it is very easy to unwittingly click the mouse and select something, which can change the screen. The mouse can be quite sensitive. So this may be what you are experiencing.

Mouser pointer changes on unit label

I noticed that whenever the mouse pointer goes over a unit label it changes its icon from the default to an entry field icon (icon # 3), although you cannot enter or write anything in the unit label field. Furthermore if you click inside the field the flashing line appears but, as intended, does not allow the user to write anything inside.
Is there a reason why this is happening or left this way? More importantly how can i make sure that the cursor does not change when hovering over unit labels and prevent the user from clicking inside the unit label field?- in some way disable the unit label but not the numerical field itself

Which version of Labview are you using? I ask so that you can find the tools palette. In LV7.1 and older, it was under "Window" menu, with LV8.x, it is under "View" menu.
Is the top box green? If so, it is in automatic tool select. Click on it to turn it off. Try repeating your steps.

Mouse pointer changes to Black & White circle!

Hello everybody,
I wrote this script and saved it as an app called "Sleep":
tell application "Finder"
eject disk "STORAGE"
end tell
tell application "System Events"
sleep
end tell
tell application "Sleep"

end tell
This has worked perfectly except when the computer wakes, the mouse pointer is the black and white circle. Everything still works normally (I think), but it is really annoying.
Is there anything that I can add to my script to change my mouse pointer back to normal?

Try removing the part telling your applet to quit, which is not necessary unless your applet is saved as stay-open.
The modified script would look like:

Making window active when mouse pointer moves over it?

As the subject line says, how do I configure Mac OS X such that a window automatically becomes the active one (also in the menu bar) when the mouse pointer moves over it? If possible, with a slight delay?

A far as I know it doesn't work that way. You need to click on the window to make it active.

Does any body have any idea how can I write Dynamic Action for, when the position is changed from in subgroup G1 to G2, or G5 or G6 for action infotype 0000, i want a prompt should apper mentioning Emploee Benefits need to be changed, when this action occurs.

If it is just to prompt the User to change the benfits, you can use the AFTER_INPUT method in the BAdI HRPAD00INFTY.

I have a problem, i'm trying to create a page using multiple objects and trying to click and drag to select couple but each time I do the mouse just stays in text format and not the little arrow you get for editing! Can anyone tell me how to change this?

Michael,
You do not need to be in Layout mode to select objects but you do need to start dragging outside of your text areas to avoid the cursor changing into a type insertion point.
You can also click carefully on the edges of objects. A bit hit and miss but you sort of get used to it.

Hacker violating my privacy even though I have security and have changed passwords several times. Who ever it is, they want me to know because they have the nerve to take control over this computer even when I am logged in. The cursor just starts moving.

Someone is stealing my private information and logging onto my computer at the same time that I am logged into it. The cursor moves by itself and they log me out of whatever page I am working on. I have security and have reported it to my internet provider.
I have spent so much money trying to keep them out of my system to no avail. I also attend school on line and this is a huge problem for me. This thief changes my internet picture right in front of me.
I have tried to report this to the police, but they are no help at all and this is not right. They need to at least try and see who it is.
What do you suggest, I really want to know who is doing this.

This could be done in many ways so it's quite hard to pin point what's going on and how it's done.
The first thing I would do is to reset the the router you have, creating a new password for loging on in case they have gained access this way, then create a new password for the wireless network if you are using it.
Then reinstall your computer, if they/you have installed some software and gotten a Trojan, the only way to get rid of it to 100% is to reinstall. There is no meaning in trying to find it and uninstalling it since it's gotten this far allready.
Depending on what router you have, you might be able to get the logs and see from where they are connecting and trying to pinpoint their location.
There are probably other ways to find out more, but if this happened to me, the first thing I would do is to get rid of the problem, ignoring who they are.

Is there a fix for layers not displaying in window when desktop theme changes from default?

Every time I change my desktop theme from windows default I can't see the layers in the Adobe window. Can anyone tell me where in options/preferences is the fix for this?

Hi Kelly, what happened is that I changed by Win7 desktop theme to a Holiday based theme and when working in Adobe Photoshop part of CS6 collection I start a new project and the layers work panel shows me there is a back ground layer there but in the Adobe work space window the layer doesn’t display. I tried change layer background colors but that didn’t work. If I change the Wind 7 desktop theme back to default it works as expected. Hope this helps. J

Background removed when loop point changed

I set up a menu with a number of animated video thumbnail buttons. All worked fine.
Then I changed the loop timing value and the background layer was filled with the background colour (black) instead of the still image that was there initially. Very repeatable 'feature'. And rather boring.
Has anyone else found this? Is this finger trouble on my part or something else?

Win XP SP2, Core 2 Duo 2.8, 2Gb RAM, NVidia 8800GTX - all drivers up to date.

I hadn't noticed this before (due to my workflow with titles, multicam and timecode settings, I probably never would have either). But I can reproduce it on my system (PrPro CS5).
Interesting thing is, with my sequence, the start time is 18:00:00:00 so it just shows black video behind the title. However, if I scrub the timecode INSIDE the title designer window, then it updates to the proper frame and remains that way until I close the titler window. So that at least provides a temporary workaround, but it IS a bug (since the feature is not working as it was intended to work).
It would be feature request if it was for some operation or procedure that wasn't already in the intended code for the application. So again, in this case there is a workaround, but it is technically a bug since the "Show Background Video" and "Background Video Timecode" should match up. It's just that there's a piece of logic missing when the sequence zero point is NOT "0"

RBDAPP01 fails when packetsize is changed from 1 to 35

For posting J3amat Idocs parallely, RBDAPP01 is executed in background with packet size 35. It failes with an exception PARM_NOT_VALID while reading the function J_3A1_LESEN_MARC_SINGLE which is called by the program RBDAPP01. When changed back to single processing it ran sucessfully ofcourse with more exectuion time. Why it fails in parallel processing and how to run it parallely?

Good question!
In my experience there is usually a problem with the download. If you paid for the song, I advise to NOT try the download again as this may charge your iTunes account/ Credit Card twice.
If it was free, what the heck, try to download it again.
OR
In the Music (orange) App if the song shows up USUALLY you can swipe left (like when you delete something) and delete the song and try to download again.
If none of this works, try contacting expresslane.apple.com
Start by clicking in the center column:
1. iTunes
2. iTune Store
3. Connecting & Downloading
4. Downloads from iTunes store incomplete or interrupted
5. Continue
6. Choose your support option (depending on time of day your options will include email, chat, call now, or schedule a callback)
