Very bottom of iPod touch 4g does not work correctly.
I have tried, resetting it, turning it on and off of course. Nothing appears to be working, but the odd thing is, I can slide it to unlock easy enough, and the bottom tabs on the home page work fine, but the bottom part in Saffari or any other tab/app, will not work, for example: I cannot type: "." "space" "123" or any of those, which gets really frustrating, I was just wondering if there is a way to sort this, as I have seen that it is a very popular error among the iPod touch's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i have noticed that when my new i pod touch 4th gen is plugged in charging, when i try and use it its very difficult to do anything on it, just selecting a certain app seems to open a completely different on in a different location on the screen, and it just seems like when its plugged in charging the buttons seem not to work correctly

However, from your discription, I suspect that something is broken. Maybe a dead battery. In that case. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and see what they say. -

I was surprised too, but I guess nobody gave a cr*p. I figured it out on my own. Basically, sync, then uncheck the box for the option to open iTunes when that iPod is hooked up, sync again, then check the box, and sync one last time. A dialog box pops up that asks if it's OK to install "iTunes Helper". Say "yes". Now it works.
