When my phone is locked, why can I still use Siri to call and text?

So basically yesterday I was playing around on the lock screen with Siri.. And I noticed i can still call, text and search the Internet from the lock screen. Is this supposed to be possible? or a bug Apple have missed in the current version IOS? I only ask because surely if I lose my phone, any random member of the public could potentially use my phone to dial any number they wish.. even call abroad and run a phenomonly high phone bill very quickly.
Not having a moan just suprised it's possible to do this.. What's the point of a security lock code / fingerprint scanner if anyone can pick up my phone and use it?

So, when you're using Siri, how are you activating it? By pressing the Home Button?
Do you have Touch ID enabled?
Are you using a finger on the Home Button that is enrolled in the Touch ID?

If your phone service is disconnected, it's not your number any more.

You need to be more specific about what doesn't work. The GPS works for me in a vehicle; when used with Google Maps its far more useful than the very expensive navigation system that was factory installed in my car.

iTech, First change your apple password, than go to 'setting' and than click on 'Facetime' and make sure your facetime email is right than retry. Also calling apple support can help you or the best way is to go down to the apple store for direct help. I really hope that what i have told you have helped and try to reset your iphone.

Check your settings to make sure Siri is actually enabled. Sometimes I find that Siri will disable during the updating process. Oh, and it should be iOS 6.0 not 6.1. 6.1 doesn't exist...yet.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the other ID. When you delete the account it will prompt you about what to do with the iCloud data. If you need to migrate it and merge it with the data in the new account choose Keep on My iDevice; then choose Merge to upload the data and merge it with the new account. If your data is already in the other account and you don't need to migrate it to the other account, choose Delete from My iDevice.

I wasn't currently using the keyboard and mouse that came with computer and wasn't ready to use those yet, but did want to upgrade to have the latest system for now

hi i have placed my order for bt infinity i have been thinking i have a care call phone for my dad which connects to the phone line via an adapter, can i still use it with infinity?
or will the phone socket take away the compatability?

If your care phone adapter is plugged into your BT socket,then if you get infinty installed I think that the only thing that the engineer will update is the master socket.
He/she should fit a new faceplate to the socket for the infinty data line [it has 2 outlets],you will still have a normal phone outlet,and I think that your care phone adapter can be used as normal.
But others might not agree.
Keep an eye on this thread as pthers might post thier responces.

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.
If that doesnt pass,

I have 3G, but use my wireless while at home. We are off to the coast for 4 days though, and I have purchased 30 days of 3G, for $14.99, so I can be connected wherever we have signal. If I choose not to keep the data plan after the 30 days, I will cancel until I need it another time. That's the nice thing about having it....if you need it, it's there. I am having the same problem with my Iphone 4. After update the phone will not control audio from the control center (Friend with Iphone 4S is having same issue). Tried to reset phone and it started working "once". Next time I tried to use the control center it didn't work again. Their needs to be some kind of a fix for this?
