When New Tab Canvas/Page?

What is the best way to determine when you user has navigated to a new tab canvas/page when the navigation does not occur by clicking on the tab canvas's Tab? For instance, when the user clicks a button item that navigates to a different tab canvas/page I want to disable the tab canvas/page the user came from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Generating tab canvas pages with Headstart olb fails (CDG-01364)

I'm trying to generate a form (master + details), details on tab canvas pages.
When generating with qmsolb65.olb generation fails with error CDG-01364 (Available width on content canvas 2 (-199) less than minimum allowable width (450)).
When generating with standard Designer olb (Ofgstnd1.olb) generation succeeds.
Has anyone seen this behaviour and can provide me with a solution? Changing canvas tab properties in Headstart olb perhaps?

We had the same problem.
We got around it by, each detail Module Component is set as 'NEW TAB CANVAS PAGE' and set all the SIZE properties (width,height,view width and view height) to the relevent values, again for each MC.

When I click on a bookmark in the listing, nothing happens. If I right click and click on "Open In New Tab" the page loads. I am using version 14.0.1

Firefox just updated to version 14.0.1. When I clicked on one of my book,marks from the listing, nothing happened. The page did not load. If I right click on the bookmark and choose " Open in a New Tab", the page loads in a new tab. None of my bookmarks will work by simplying clicking on them from the listing.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When I open a new Tab the page defaults to an unwanted page.

When I open a new Tab the page defaults to: "http://www.somoto.com/139/%7B666DAB7E-0C0D-4161-9E9E-F4170E4A3EB9%7D?s_src=newtab". My homepage is set to something entirely different. Is it possible to change this default to something of my own choosing?

Tools Options changed from drop-down box to new tab full page. Why?

Have Windows 7, Firefox Nightly 32.0a1 (2014-05-18) the latest update was a couple of hours ago. Since then, when I go to Tools>Options, instead of the Options menu opening in a drop-down window with General, Tabs, Content, Applications, Privacy, Security, Sync and Advanced at the top, it now opens as a new tab (full page) and of the eight functions, the "Tabs" is missing, the others are down the left side of the page.
Also since this update, I am having problems with two forums, (both hosted by ProBoards) - the icons for links, video. image etc are missing, the "Like" button doesn't work, I cannot preview my posts, the clickable button/box to return to forum is missing. Others on the forum who use Firefox aren't having problems. I'm thinking it is the update causing these problems because they weren't appearing before.

That is the new "Options" display, added in today's Nightly when you go to open Options. '''"Tabs"''' preferences are on the "General" panel.

FF hangs, does not launch ,hangs when new tab opened.

FF hangs when launched and when new tab is opened , same is the case when launched in safe mode ,I have reinstalled the browser but the issue persisits.
EDIT: Found a folder on my desktop "old firefox data"

Previous versions of Firefox used to cause web pages to hang, freezing everything. Firefox 15.0.1 has gone one step further /
It hangs immediately, as soon as the welcome message ( and the picture showing a kind of crop circle) appears.
This means having to Force quit... I have done just that ( and relaunched ) three times, without success. I've also trashed FF and reinstalled it three times. No joy.
There may be a "fix" of some sort, but it shouldn't be necessary : Safari, Chrome, Opera, Camino, and SeaMonkey work fine "straight out of the box". So why not Firefox?
Besides, a "fix" would be impossible since I'd have to launch FF to apply it, and as I said, it hangs/freezes immediately.
I'm using a Mac, system 10.6.8.

Yosemite - all updates completed.
Have closed Safari and reopened x2, have restarted computer.
The favorites on tool/task bar work, just not the favorite icons on opening page of new tab

Strange lines are apearing when I open new page in new tab. They are on white page (new tab) before page I wanted shows up.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

When I downloaded new version of firefox, the feature where when I open a new tab a page loads that contains mini-windows containing my most visited sites. where is this feature now!?

So with the new version of firefox I lost the feature where, whenever I opened a new tab, instead of a blank tab page, a page would appear that contained mini-windows containing pics of all my most often used websites. I could then simply click on one of maybe six windows to go directly to my most used sites. What happened to this? I really, really, really miss this feature. How can I get it back?

The Google Toolbar and other extensions for Firefox include a list of compatible Firefox versions. Currently, the Google Toolbar only goes up to Firefox 4. However, people have tested and it actually works on Firefox 5, so there are two workarounds:

Firefox is not opening the "Show All History" Window, images are not loading and part of the new tab default page is not loading up

For about two days now Firefox has been unable to load up images, even in its menus, and the menu buttons do not open up their corresponding windows.
The page that comes up when opening a new tab has the first three webpages displayed, but the second three underneath are blank and the boxes are cut off.
Things like youtube work fine. What could be the problem?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

I have tried everything suggested to get rid of the "Open a new tab" search page.

I just bought a new computer with Windows7. I downloaded and installed Firefox 18.0.1 about a week ago.
I am trying to get the history icon page to open when I click the "Open a new tab".
Some of the things I've tried (like resetting Firefox and installing the add-on) worked but only until I shut down.
When I load Firefox again, that pesky search page ("Open a new tab") is back.
How can I get the history icon page to stay permanently from day to day?

Setting a tab canvas page to be visible

hi guys, when my form starts I have a page on my tabbed canvas in which the users cannot see. When a certain event triggers i then want to be able to make this tab visible and I was just wondering if anyone knows how to do this?
I know about:
set_item_instance_property(<item_name>,current_record,visible,property_true);
however I am unsure how to reference the specific page of the tabbed canvas using this, i thought it would be something along the lines of:
set_item_instance_property('TABCANVAS.PAGE_NAME,visible,property_true);
Am I far of the mark?

Opening new tab cause page to freeze

Hi,
I'm using Safari 4.0.3 on Windows Vista.
I am unable to create a new tab without crashing the page.
Does anyone have any tips?

Open Safari Preferences again and click Tabs. Select: When a new tab or windows opens, make it active.
Make sure your Flash Plugins are up to date. Go here:

New tab default page

Is there a way to set up a google search page to come up when I select "open a new tab". I see options to set it to blank, but not say to the google website. When I open Firefox, it brings up the google site, just not when I hit open new tab. Thank you.

There is currently no option to do this in Firefox 3.6, but I do know it has been suggested as an option in a future version.
However, you can install one of the several extensions that provide this service. These can be found at https://addons.mozilla.org

Very small and simple, just opens your start page when opening a new tab.
