I would suggest restarting the iPad and see if the download resumes.

Resuming downloads from an iOS device
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes icon.
For iPhone/iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.
Click the "OK" button.
Click the Resume or Resume All button to start the download.
If you don't see the application to download it, then follow these troubleshooting steps:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If the app does not appear in your list of purchases, then contact the iTunes Store for help:

When trying to connect (observe/control) to some machines for the first time using ARD I get a popup asking for username/password verification. It immediately disappears before I can enter any info.
Connecting with Screen Sharing works fine.
SSH does too.
ARD 3.3.2 on 10.6.4 and 10.6.5

Works for me too.
So it's probably the cached computer name that is the problem (in my case at least).
When I install a new computer (via netinstall) I go in with remote desktop to change the name. In the "All Computers" list in ARD it still shows the old name. When I delete it from "All Computers" and use the scanner to find it again, I can indeed connect and the name in the all computers list is updated.

When I try to watch videos a window pops up and says I mush download a Media Player plugin first. When I try to download the plug-in, I cannot. Another window pops up and says nothing was downloaded.

I am able to watch most videos without the plug-in, but some sites require plug-in to show videos. I cannot install the plug-in even manually.

I have not been able to access the itunes store for the past month, it has been a long time since I have downloaded/purchased anything, probably around christmas time, but the problem is I click on the itunes store and the grey zebra striped bar just keeps running accross the top indefinitely, one other thing is that when I click on my itunes icon on the left side of my screen a window pops up and tells me to turn off compatibility, so I tried to follow the prompts through the properties from right clicking the itunes icon but after the thing runs its check and i click on make suggested changes, it still says incompatible. I have no idea what to do and this is extremely frustrating, please help!!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Download iTunes 11 from the Apple site and reinstall. The error message was quite plain in telling you what to do to resolve the error.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

You get various behaviors based on a combination of settings in Preferences > Interface; namely Open Documents as Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window Docking; but it doesn't seem to make much sense as far as I can tell. I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
