    * Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded.

  • How could I re-open my mail box with error message :The last time you opened Mail, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?

How could I re-open my mail box, as an error message blocked "The last time you opened Mail, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?" Even I entered re-open, the airbook does not response but prompt the same error message again.

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in 10.8 there is only one. If you're running a version older than 10.8, this comment isn't applicable.
    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Log out and log back in. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.

  • Firefox crashes constantly when opening Yahoo Mail and some other sites

Hi, since last night FF has been crashing constantly. It all started with opening yahoo mail page but just some hours ago it happened on Rolling Stone magazine's site.
I have tried all the suggested troubleshooting (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-troubleshoot-prevent-and-get-help#w_check-to-see-if-the-crash-happens-in-safe-mode). Then I did a complete wipe and reinstall of FF as instructed here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox and the problem persists (even when no extensions and no personal data exists).
I am completely at loss here. It is my work-horse browser and I truly need it working. Please assist.
    Thank you
P.S. I have always had a hanging problem with Flash if that might lead onto something....
Here is the latest crash report that I have submitted: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/8c0f6683-050f-4ef7-bef9-0245f2140827

Here's my situation....after I've been in yahoo mail for about 4 or 5 minutes,. it suddenly freezes and I see in the upper left hand corner of the tool bar it say firefox not responding, and then sometimes it just crashes. I shut of java, and I disabled ad blocker plus and it still does it, although not as frequently. I'm not going to go into safe mode and do all the of things some have suggested. I'm not that tech savvy, if there's not a good fix, then I'll use another browser until Mozilla can fix this. It would seem to me that since Mozilla and Yahoo are going to be working together in future builds why not fix the issue rather than frustrate long time users.....

  • Safari crashes every time, so does mail when opening a mail

Hmm... as of today Safari (3.0.4) and mail (3.1) both crash every time.
Safari stays open with no webpage loaded, go to any website and crash. Mail also crashes when you open a mail. if you dont use the preview window then mail stays open but aside from deleting mail you cannot do a lot!
I can get safari to open a local pdf file but nothing on the net.
I have latest version of Leopard on a leopard-built macpro 8core. i have all latest software downloads on it. probably caused by last set of software updates id say - how do i check and remove last downloaded updates ?
Ive reported most crashes to Apple as each time generates a crash report.
Ive trashed prefs, ive checked permissions, ive repaired the HDD from a bootup system.
    Im a bit stuck now.
Firefox works fine - im using that now to write this post.
mail does seem to use same internal browser for reading mail and is very much linked to Safari, so i guess i will have to use another mail reader too.
    Any suggestions ?
I can post crash reports for Safari and or mail if anyone can shed light on this.
I just installed acrobat reader (after this problem) and that crashed at end of install (assuming when it started up).
I have no internet plugins for safari.

seems after downloading and installing 10.5.2 my issues are resolved.

  • Prompted for password when opening icloud mail

    Hi,
I downloaded Mavericks a week or so ago and everything's fine except one glitch:
Whenever I open the Mail app, it prompts me to enter my password before retrieving anything. As soon as I enter my password it connects to iCloud fine. Under Preferences (General account tab) there is a password slot into which the password can be entered. But when I do that, and then save the changes, it doesn't retain the information. When I re-open the Mail app, the same prompt re-appears. When I check Preferences, the password slot is still empty.
I also have a pop account separate from iCloud IMAP, and that works just fine. Like it did under Mountain Lion.
Is there some kind of glitch still? I downloaded today the 11-08-2013 Maverick mail update from the App store, but that didn't solve this particular problem. It appears to be related to GMail accounts only anyway.
Any thoughts on how I can get the Mail app to retain my password info for the iCloud account so that I don't have to keep re-entering it?
    Many TIA for any hints!
(P.S: My machine is a 2012 15" RD MacBook Pro)

Thanks to both for your replies.
    Eric,
Thanks much for that link and the Apple Token workaround. That did the trick!
Thanks a lot for your help.
    Best,
    Andre

  • [Solved]Thunderbird : 1 sec delay, drive spinning, when opening a mail

    Hi everyone !
I have a pretty new Arch install (since yesterday !) and I'm pretty satisfied I almost solved all my issues (like dmix not being automatically enabled with my audio device, etc)
Except, a new one arose when I thought everything was getting perfect ;-)
A few hours ago (and even after a reboot ;-), Thunderbird began to take about 1 second to open a mail. All my mails are cached, so they just need to be accessed on the hard disk. When I click on a mail (any mail, from any of my 4 IMAP accounts), I can hear the hard disk spinning, accessing a lot, for a second, before it displays the mail. Even if this mail is already opened is another tab.
I'm pretty sure it didn't happen before. Meanwhile I just installed a couple of apps that have no obvious relationship with Thunderbird. (I use KDE 4.4) Like : kdenlive, handbrake, smile, avidemux. Before, when clicking on a mail, it would be displayed instantly.
I tried to re-create my TB profile, or to delete the .msf files. It made no difference. I tried to downgrade to TB 2.0.2 : no difference either.
Does any of you have an idea ? What may trigger this problem ? It is not that bad, of course, but it didn't happen before, I'm almost sure. And I'm 100% sure it didn't happen with Ubuntu Karmic.
    Cheers !!

SOLVED ! The culprit turned out to be... "gecko-mediaplayer" ?!
This is really strange. Removing it made TB open my emails instantly again ! (or removing its config file in .config/gecko-mediaplayer)
If anyone has any idea why, I would be very interested ! (I'll have to find a good replacement as well

  • When say opening my mail box a new pages opens to a site not where I selected to go have run anitvirus scans with no problems found any ideas.

When opening my email a new page opens in my browser it may be just a normal site or my WOT warns of danger. If I X the new browser and go back to my email all is normal until I ask for the email again a a later time. Have run numerous virus scans and superantispyware scans with no problems found. also when opening a google search when I click on a site a new google search opens with the same search information.

It's a really bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it. (Even though I've now noticed you mis-spelled it! - anyway, never post your address in a forum.)
You have a site here: http://virginiagordon.com/www.virginiagordon.com/WELCOME.html
If that's not the page you are having trouble with, what is that page's URL?

  • My ZTE Open does not respond whenver I open my mail box (it seems the loading is performed in the Ui thread)

    OS version 1.0.1.0
    Firmware version 1.01.00.01.019.144
    Hardware version P752D04B02
It seems that some application delivered with the OS can freeze for few seconds (~20 sec) the phone. Especially when I use the mail client or the settings panel.
So it is not possible to interact with the UI for this delay, my assumption is the data loading is peformed in the same thread than UI.
This behavior is not a good user experience and it is not friendly for a smartphone.
Please note I have one hundred mails on my Gmail mailbox but it is strange to me the problem is perfectly reproductible each time I open the mail client on my phone.
    Regards, Stéphane.

    Hello,
After reading the information provided about your issue I suggest a soft reset of the phone.
#Take the back cover of the phone off.
    #Take the battery out.
#Take the SIM card and microSD card out (if applicable).
    #Wait 10 seconds.
#Put the SIM card and microSD card back in (if applicable).
    #Put the battery back in.
#Put the back cover back on.
    #Turn the device on.
#Check if the issue you were having is still present.
Please report back to us if this solved your problem!
    Thank you

  • When opening Apple Mail links 2 Firefox Windows Open, The top one is blank and the one behind it contains the web link page???

Whether with previous version of Firefox, or new one (3.6.4), when I open an Apple Mail link, Firefox opens 2 windows. Top window is blank, window behind it contains web page for mail link that I hit. I can't find anything in preferences of mail or Firefox to resolve this issue.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

I have discovered one solutionto my problem, which is not really convenient and is something I don't have to do with Safari 5 -- If I have Firefox open, but not a window open, then when I click on an Apple Mail link, only 1 window opens. But I don't always want to have my browser open, so this is kinda annoying. I'd rather not use Safari -- Firefox is so much better. Please fix this! Thanks.

  • I don't want my password "remembered" when opening my email box.

I checking the "remember my password" box when I set up my email account. Now I don't want my password "remembered" when I open my email...how do I edit the "remember" feature?

    Remembered passwords are stored here:
Tools > Options > Security > Passwords tab
    or
Menu icon > Options > Options > Security > Passwords tab
    * click on 'Saved Passwords' button
    * Click on 'show passwords' button.
There will be two entries for the mail account:
    * Mailbox:// for the mail account
    * smtp:// for the mail account.
    * select these two items and click on 'Remove' button
    * click on 'Close' button
    * click on OK

  • On Mac, Firefox crashes when opening Yahoo Mail with attachment

On IMAC using OS 10.4 Firefox crashes completely when using Yahoo Mail to open email with attachment. Also crashes when attempting to attach photo to outgoing email. Email without attachments do not crash Firefox.

Installing a Flash plug-in took care of this problem

  • When opening e-mail messages, I get "Warning:unresponsive script", and below that it says"Script:chrome://saff/content/saffplg.js:50 How do I solve this problem?

I am not very computer literate, so I don't know details. It happens every time I try to open an e-mail.

Probably caused by the McAfee Site Advisor extension - disable it in the Firefox Addons Manager > Extensions tab.
If you don't have that specific extension installed, there are other "security" add-ons that use the guts of McAfee SA. You'll need to figure out which one it is with a little troubleshooting.
