When opening firefox it says unable to connect even though my nternet is working right
when oppening firefox i got a update and when finish firefox woudnt work any more.it says that it cant establish connection,i try all kind of website and it all ways says the same thing.it says a firewall may be blocking the connection but, i turn off my firewall and still doesnt work.im using internet explorer but i dont like using it.
i have same prob what do i do can anyone help me

My Firefox automatically updated to Firefox 8. Since doing so, when I open the browser the screen displays a box saying 'Unable to connect' and says the same for any website. Whenever I try to open Firefox it says cannot establish connection, maybe your firewall is preventing us from accessing the web. Even though I've let Firefox through my firewall, this message still appears. And whenever I try to redownload it, it just says installation failed. It does this with all installations... Is there something wrong with my computer? How do I fix it?
Sometimes you only disable the user interface of security software, but the firewall or anti-virus services are still running in the background.
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Im having real problems connecting to my home wifi from my i phone 4s, it just keeps saying unable to join even though the password is correct,
I have tried resetting my network settings but to no avail,
yesterday I reset all settings then it actually worked, however today the problem started again so I repeated the reset but it still isn't working

Shutdown all computers connected to the router.
Power off the router.
Power off the modem (cable or DSL).
Wait 30 seconds.
Power on the modem. Ensure all lights are lit and the modem is online.
Power on the router. Ensure it's communicating to the modem.
Turn on your Macbook Pro first (the one experiencing the issue. Check it's connection. If it's still having issues, removed the networks it can attach to, turn off WiFi; then turn WiFi back on and reconnect to your WiFi network.
Turn on other Macs in household. Check their connections.
Sometimes "rebooting" the modem and router fixes connectivity issues. -

It sounds like maybe you installed a trial at some point in the past and trashed the application folder rather than doing an uninstall?

When you say it "can not scan any wifi network" do you mean it is not detecting Wi-Fi networks?
Is Wi-Fi turned on in Settings > General > Wi-Fi?
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Is it just the home network that the device will not connect to? or any network? -
I get a long load time when I open firefox 35. Then cannot connect to server, however i can then open websites fine via my bookmarks list. Tries reinstalling, did not help, made google my homepage in options, does not help.
Does this happen every time? Or is it only when your computer is first turned on/waken up?
If you open another browser (Internet Explorer/Chrome/...) does it do the same thing?
I might be that your computer takes a few seconds to (re-)establish its network connectivity after sleeping. Try this

On holiday in Spain, my phone wont connect to wi-fi at my friends apartment but connects to some wi-fi locations in the city. The rest tells me that " Unable to join the network" even though i know the password is correct and my ipad is connected.
I have tried resetting network connections and switching on/off wi-fi, and also reset using home and top button, still nothing.Try going to the Wifi settings and clicking the little arrow next to your network, and click "forget this network" then try re-connecting. If that doesn't work, try going to settings-general-reset and clicking reset network settings. Also, make sure you have your network password correct if there is one.

When I click on the Firefox icon The page comes up white and in the middle it says "Firefox has errored and has stopped running". Then it looks to windows for a solution but finds none.

I was trying to sync my ipod and for whatever reason my iTunes wasn't recognizing my ipod anymore and asked if I wanted to erase it and basically start over. So I said yes, thinking it would then put my music library back on my ipod, but instead now it shows all my music but it won't play or sync. When I try to play any song, it says it can't be located and asks if I would like to locate it, but I still can't find it! I've had to go into the iTunes store and redownload songs and that works. But I would really like to just locate my library wherever it is in my computer. Help!

Keeps opening Firefox Setup 3.6.8.exe even though it's installed, what do I do to prevent this?
When I'm using the internet the firefox setup 3.6.8.exe keeps popping up asking me if I want to save the file. I tried installing it and it just installed Firefox again, afterwards when I opened up firefox it asked me if I wanted to save the file or not again.

Actually, I open the TCP/IP connection and pass the connection ID through. Each command to/from (cycle) the UUT successfully executes. The refnum for the connection ID is then passed via a shift register in the while loop. i am using the type cast (4X) function to determine the validity of the connection and case statements. If the refnum is non-zero it assumes the connection is still open; if the result is zero, then the connection is closed and a new session opened in that case. What is happening is that the connection has closed and the refnum is still nonzero after the type cast function; su
bsequent commands to the UUT then produce Error 1 for the TCP/IP function (there was no open connection, so there could be no write occurrence.) Obviously, this probably shouldn't be happening. If someone can give me some idea of what I am not doing, or am doing wrong, I sure would appreciate it. In the event that I open and close a connection for each command to(from)(cycle) the UUT everything works. It is extremely slow. The connection should remain open according to all the pointers in the Help and TCP/IP function descriptions. Some of this application is proprietary, so not sure how much of an example I could use to illustrate from a VI, but if this doesn't get any where, I will see what i can do to better illustrate the problem...Thanks. T.RaperI believe this is a related question. I am developing a LV application the uses TCP/IP to control up to 8 devices-under-test (DUT) at one time. They start and finish testing at arbitrary times relative to each other, and the IP addresses are not known until the DUT arrives. I have some question on what is the best way to manage the TCP/IP handles.
Presently, I have 8 Global IP addresses (one per testing site) that are updated as DUTs arrive and depart, and then whenever I need to communicate with a DUT I use TCP-Open, Write/Read, and TCP-Close. I do this Open/Write/Close each time there is a message to be sent to a DUT. This is basically working, but I notice that the OS (Windows XP or 2000) is running through local TCP/IP ports at a ferocious rate due to the TIME_WAIT behavior of Closed TCP/IP ports (It takes many minutes for a local port to become available again after being closed). If I am not careful, I can quickly exhaust the pool of OS ports by using tight polling loops or other very quick DUT accesses. I have tried not to do that in order to avoid running out of handles, but it is still very wasteful of ports.
While it is working, I feel so dirty burning through these handles like this since they appear to be a precious resource. I really cannot easily merge multiple Read/Writes into a single Open/Close since there are dozens of otherwise unrelated tests that communicate with the DUT as a part of their functionality. The tests are even in different subVI's that are accessed via a vi-server, and only one is loaded at a time.
I thought that a cute idea would be to cache the handles in Globals, and wrap the Open to use the cache if valid, but reading this thread is making me think it is a lot of effort -- I believe I would need to keep a VI running as a "IP Connection Server" at all times and use some form of messaging to get it to Open/Close TCP connections as needed. Since the DUTs arrive at aribitrary times, and with random IP addresses, I cannot establish all the TCP handles ahead of time -- they would need to be created dynamically. It is much more difficult than simply keeping the Connection IDs in global variables -- the VI that Opened them must not be allowed to terminate.
So... I am curious...... is it really that bad to Open/Close as frequently as I am doing it? Does it make me a bad person? I understand it is inefficient use of time, but the simplicity it brings to the structure seems huge, and the DUT is very slow anyway. And if it is bad, are they any more recent thoughts on alternatives? Do VISA handles behave the same way as TCP handles (ie. auto-close themselves upon exit of the VI that Opened them) ?

I have had some log-in problems with users. I have found that restarting the server helps. If this doesn't work, I rebuild permissions on the server, followed by opening up Workgroup Manager, go to the user's password, click on options and require that the user change password on the next log-in. For some reason, this will usually fix the problem. I then log in as the user, and "change" the password to the original one. Also note, that if you import a user, the password is not brought in. You must enter it for each user that you imported. Even so, I have often had to resort to the re-set password procedure to enable a log-in.
