When placing object from Illy, how does ID design which artboards to present

Could someone walk me through placing objects into ID documents from an Illustrator file with multiple layers? Does it only present the artboards that are present in the topmost layer? Or is it all visible layers?

After you select the artboard you want and place the file, you can change the layer visibility by selecting the object, right-clicking and choosing object layer options.

Do you have an app that is assigned to Space 2 that is also in Login Items (starts automatically upon login)?
If not... Maybe if you disabled Spaces, restarted at least once, and then enabled Spaces, it will go back to starting up on Space 1.
If you have an app that you always open in Space 1, assign it to Space 1 and also put it in Login Items.

How does sharepoint designer create item in list work ?.

I'm using sharepoint 365, and the free sharepoint designer.
I'm trying to make something so that if List A gets an update other lists get new records to.
There is a sharepoint-designer action that lets one create a an item in another list.
And i have tested it a lot but haven't got any of my tests to work, been trying for a week now.
I'm not sure as how it is exactly named in English, since our sharepoint is al dutch :(
I think in English it looks like:
Create item in Yourlistname (save result in variable

When clicking on yourlistname, you need the all valeus of all required items in the list.
Now asume such worklow rule is made to start after an Entry is made in List A, And we want to update List B

How does one refer, to a required link title from List A?. use current list item ?
How to link to a 4th table entry of List C as value to make in List B
If List A has a value that is clickable-link how to link that to Value B
If someone knows of problems with this, permissions things, or knows a youtube explaining it, or can explain it himself. It would be of great help to me.

Into a column type that is a lookup table (another list), if work with string columns it works, but I need the current "name" as a lookup link connected into List B

I have seen a similar thread from you. The solution is that you need to work with Item ID's when you define the workflow to work with Lookup columns links. only at creation time you need to enter what field you like to include in your list. Based upon ID

How does oracle know which AO Framework page or process to execute. I use to think this was defined in the Function definition. But looking through some Function definition in HRMS setup I noticed some of them simply calling the same first page, such as the one below used in many managers menus. This initial page is the page that allows managers to choose the employee they want to work on.
OA.jsp?akRegionCode=HR_PERSON_TREE_TOP_SS&akRegionApplicationId=800.
My question is, after executing this initial page, how does Oracle then varies the OA page by the diffferent functions?

How does ISE choose which IP to put in URL redirect response?

Hello,
does anyone know how does ISE choose which IP to put in URL redirect response if it has more than one interface with an IP address and all interfaces are enabled in the portal configuration?
I have a single ISE 1.3 PSN with all four interfaces configured, enabled, each on unique VLAN, and each with unique IP address.
In the CWA portal configuration, all four interfaces are enabled.
Wired clients connect to NAD, NAD sends RADIUS request to ISE, ISE responds with a RADIUS response including the URL-Redirect parameter which specifies the web redirect URL. ISE configuration uses "ip:port" in the URL.
My question is how does ISE choose which of its four interfaces to put in this URL? Is it always the same interface that RADIUS packets were received on? Or does it always choose the first portal enabled interface? Or is there another logic? Configurable or unconfigurable?

ISE uses the first interface enabled for that portal, so if want to use a specific interface, then only enable that interface. If interface is GE0, then default behavior is to redirect with ip value set to node's FQDN. If interface other than GE0, then default behavior is to return the IP address of the associated interface.
Aliases can be configured for each interface using the CLI 'ip host' command to associate a hostname/FQDN to the IP address of a given interface. When configured, ISE will return that value rather than IP address in redirect. This is critical if want to avoid certificate trust warning on connecting clients.
Be sure that certificate assigned to interface includes the correct FQDN or optionally wilcard value in the CN or SAN fields to avoid cert warnings.

How does Mail decide which outgoing SMTP server to use?

I have Mail setup with two accounts - one for home use and one for work. Each has its own outgoing SMTP server. My question: how does mail decide which outgoing server to use? I don't want to mix work and home stuff.
Specifically, what happens in these three scenarios?
1) I compose a new mail. Does it always use the first account's outgoing SMTP server or does Mail look at the recipient's domain and base its decision on that?
2) I reply to a work email. Is Mail smart enough to look at my domain or the sender's to know to use the work outgoing SMTP server?
3) I reply to home email. Is Mail smart enough to look at my domain or the sender's to know to use the home outgoing SMTP server?

Thanks for the suggestion - I had to "Customize" the viewable header to include the "From:" ("Von:") line to see who I was sending as. As far as the "use this SMTP only" checkbox is concerned - they're checked on both my accounts - so I'm not sure how much of an impact that has. To be honest, I thought this checkbox was meant to limit your outgoing mail (for that account) to this mail server only. I thought that if it was not checked, Mail will try to send the mail via another SMTP server if the one for this account is not reachable.....after all, why else would Apple allow you to check both servers' "use this SMTP only" checkbox?
But this is good enough for me - now I can see who i'ms ending as.

Why does scale change when placing snapshot from pdf document?

IDCS3: I cut a furniture detail from a pdf document with the "snapshot" tool. I place this image, which includes text, into an InD document. The scale is huge! I do not know how much to reduce to get it to the exact same scale as it was in the pdf. In addition, the quality diminishes when placed in InD. The document size of the pdf document is A4 - that of the InD document is A3. Thanks!

Why not place the original pdf (vector & raster, I assume) and crop to the area you'd like - retaining the vector & raster, rather than use a screen shot (raster).

Multi-stage objects from InDesign - how to stop cycle?

I have exported a page from InDesign to FLA that contains an InDesign multi-state object (MSO) and when I bring it into Flash and export as a SWF, the MSP just cycles through all the contained images. There's an Adobe KB that states that this is a known issue and that ActionScript can be used to stop the MSO from cycling. Does anyone know the ActionScript used to stop this?

I have a similar issue, having set up some clickable buttons in a single page INDD file that take you to one of five states in a multi-state object. What I'd love to be able to do is have the states loop at a comfortable pace while allowing the user to click on a button to display a particular state.
Would it be easier to set up the different states as separate INDD pages?
Not at all sure how to do this. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

When using Multicam in CS6 how do I choose which source file the audio comes from?

I've noticed when using the Multi-cam window to create edits, the audio does not change when I select the different video sources. How do I select which source file the audio comes from?

It doesn't make sense why the multicam source sequence only uses one track of audio. Was this by design? The issue with this as in my situation (and because I didn't know this) I recorded all my source videos with the music tracks on the right side which is what I'm using to cut my video with. Not being able to hear this while I'm cutting is really frustrating. There's a reason I separate dialog on the left side and music on the right. There should at a minimum be an option while setting up the multicam to choose more audio options. Even in the audio clip option settings, those don't seem to work when a clip is put into a multicam source sequence.
The other issue is when you bring in the audio after the fact or even before, there's no way to sync timecode with audio to the multicam sequence. When I create the Multicam source sequences in my project bin, I choose sync with timecode, not in points, because the record decks I'm using are all locked with a TC gen during the shoot.
Maybe I'm missing something, but there seems to be either a bug with multicam or a design flaw. Even in the help documentation, it states multiple audio tracks can be brought in with the multicam sequence, but only track one is enabled by default. I've never been able to have the MC sequence bring in more than one track of audio no matter what the audio settings are.

Problem when importing objects from SLD to IR

When i try to import any object from SLD into
IR i cant view all the components under Data Types Message Types Interface Mapping and other related nodes.Just the object gets imporetd but none of ts nodes are visible.
Please let me know if any change in configuration or settings is to be done.

When connected to your computer's iTunes, select the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side of iTunes, and then on the right-hand side on its films/movies tab just select the films that you want to sync and then click the Sync button at the bottom.

How does j_security_check know which page to redirect to?

I have implemented j_security_check in our weblogic web app successfully.
What I would like to know is following the authentication and authorization via the container, how does it know to redirect the user to index.jsp?
For example, we have login.jsp which contains the j_username and j_password fields, and the action is j_security_check. After the user hits submit and the container authenticates them, how does it know to then direct them to index.jsp? Is it because the welcome tag in web.xml is set up to direct them to index.jsp?

That's correct.
You are specifying a login page, which will ONLY be accessed when the user attempts to view a secured resource.
After logging in, they will see the page they were originally trying to get to.
They will only be forced to go to the login page if you secure the page they are trying to get to:

How does TimeMachine determine which backup to link to?

We have 4 Macs, each having a Time Machine backup file on an external Time Capsule.
How does the Time Machine on each Mac know which file on that Time Capsule it links to?
Is it done via the file name, meta-data in the backup file, some other method?
Ideas?

Before "you" start an instance you set env variable ORACLE_SID. This identifies an instance. When you go into sqlplus and issue STARTUP, Oracle starts the instance named by the sid. Thus the instance running on the server is controlled by you. This changes as noted below.
If you were using a non-Oracle tool to start instances, such as Veritas, then you would see it start the instance you coded into the tool. It would not randomly pick an instance. It looks in the Veritas config file and sees that you always want instance 1 on this node and instance 2 on that node.
That said, you can make Oracle more random or "grid" like. 10g RAC done Oracle's way likes to bounce around between primary and secondary nodes. To see which instances are running on a node you can "ps -ef | grep pmon". Alternatively, use sqlplus to look in the database: view gv$instance gives you each instance name paired with the name of the host it is currently running on. There is one line of output per instance currently running.

On my home computer, when I transfer from my iTunes library to iTunes store, I'm presented with an empty window. Tool bar at the top of the page is in view and all it's 'drop-downs' function. Any ideas?
