When trying to play one specific band, the iPod freezes and has to be restarted. Tried to clear and load the songs again many times, even downloaded the band's album from a different place, it's no use tho. It crashes EVERY TIME. With only this one band. Anybody having any ideas? Thanks!

I have had this problem for quite a while also. Actually there was a thread on this problem a month or so ago, but no one seemed to have a fix. The first CD will import fine, but after that any additional CDs you insert into the drive remain unrecognized until you exit and restart Itunes at which point the CD and drive are recognized, the track information is retrieved, and the CD will import normally. This is a real hassle.
I have done the obligatory reinstall to no avail. It would seem that this problem is common enough that someone would have discovered the fix.

Recently when clicking play on any song the ipod will shuffle through as many songs as there are in the album or playlist until it reaches the end without playing any songs. It also does not go through each song. For example:
a 62 song playlist. I start on song 16. Immediatly the song will shuffle: 16-26-54-62 and then back to the main screen. Also when the songs are shuffling the play button in the top right corner is on.
Music will play if i start from track one with shuffle turned off and repeat turned on. But then i am limited each time to 1-5 songs.
Ipod has been in excellent working order since this has happened.
any suggestions on how to fix?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

I just transferred music from a desktop to a laptop to put on itunes. After this exhausting process of renaming and renaming unnamed tracks, when I play one on itunes the song title disappears and though the song plays, I have to rewrite name of song.

i guess you are referring to iTunes Match. It sounds as though you haven't downloaded all the content and are trying to play your music over a poor connection.

ITunes 9.0.1 will only play one specific playlist

itunes 9.0.1 will only play one specific playlist, and freezes when I try to do anything else. Had 9.0.0.7, then upgraded...said would fix the problem, but didn't. When I sync iPhone itunes freezes as well. Tried to delete podcasts...froze. Tried to delete duplicate songs...froze. Tried to...you get the picture.
Any help?

Problem has been resolved...had to reinstall, then go to add/remove programs and repair iTunes.

When playing songs in itunes, songs will freeze or delay. How do I stop this?

My itunes has been doing this for months. I must admit that I do not believe my computer is that great(old), but, still, when playing music in iTunes, the timer or play clock will stop. The song will keep playing but the clock will stop moving for either 4 or 7 seconds. When this happens, everything freezes. Thus, you can't adjust volume, select another song, make a playlist, etc. Recently, I created a new user on my computer and installed iTunes under that name. The problem there is that there is no visible music library. My library only appears in "recently added." So, that is very concerning as well. I believe the music is delaying there, also. But it causes alarm if I were to reinstall on my main user and I couldn't see my library. I have a lot of music.
Please advise if anyone has a good solution.

When playing YouTube in background the phone stays on and does not auto lock and if it is auto locked and you receive a text it will stay on / lit even in the lock screen

Mine and my wifes iphon 5s is having way too many problems for today's technology, when using iTunes music app from the lock screen if you press pause from the lock screen it stays the same not like before when you paused the music the play buttons would disappear but now they just stay there, and when playing YouTube videos in the background from safari and the phone is in lock screen and you receive a text the screen will stay lit until you turn it off yourself and also the same thing happens in the home screen if your playing YouTube from safari in the background the phone won't auto dim of auto lock after any amount of time it will stay on forever these problems need to be fixed, also the wifi is not working like it used to and the LTE and 3G data are slow, slower then the 3GS when ios 6 came out. Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new. Assuming you are using Bluetooth headphones, do the apps have the option to use Bluetooth?
The app should have an option to select the speaker (or wired earphones) or the Bluetooth headphones.
You can also try:

Contact the developer/go to their support site if only one app.

You will prbably had other sync setting than the default ones
Check if the option "Only sync marked songs" is checked.

I have a 2GB IPOD with only 385 songs on it. I downloaded 2 CD's to iTunes but when I try and sync the IPOD I'm getting an error message indicating there isn't enough space. I thought a 2GB would hold at least 500 songs.

The figures that Apple used to use when saying how many songs coud fit onto any particular iPod were based on a 4 minute song at a Bit Rate of 128Kbps and that's the bit rate that songs sold by iTunes used to be in. However, now the iTunes Store sells songs at 256Kbps (as do many other MP3 stores) - which means that each song now uses twice as much storage space than before.
So if your songs have a bit rate of higher than 128Kbps, and/or they are all longer than four minutes each, that's why 385 songs is filling up your iPod. You can check how much space is being used when the iPod is connected to iTunes Library. Look on the Device panes for the capacity bar at the bottom of the window. How much space is being used by Music?
The solution is either:
Use iTunes to make 128Kbps versions to go onto your iPod - or,
Sync the iPod using Playlists and then choosing which Playlists you want on it. Smart Playlists may be the answer - you can set Smart Playlists up so that they automatically add and remove songs from your iPod, so that there is a constant change of songs (according to the rules you set)

Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?
