When plugging in my headset in my iPad, the sound continues to play on the ipad and does not switch to the heeadset. Why? I did not have this problem before.

If you have used earphones in the past then I assume that you realize it takes a very firm push to insert the headphones into the opening - correct?

The only one that can issue a PUK code is a carrier, which you've already made clear you don't have.
If itunes does not recognise your ipad that may be another issue. What version OS is on your computer and what steps did you follow to uninstall itunes and then reiinstall itunes on your computer?
And, do you at least see the sidebar on the left hand side of itunes?

How can I transfer photos from my iMac to my iPad and not lose the ones already stored on the iPad? When using iTunes to sync a folder from the iMac to the iPad it always removes anything previously synced.

I've just found out the reason for this behaviour. I am syncing from a computer which is different to the one I first synced with. iTunes can't cope with this situation so deletes anything synced from another source.

Keeping it plugged in does not harm the battery or risk overcharging.

Why do I lose the sound effects in Mail for sending and receiving on my MBA and not on my other Macs? Running Mountain Lion. The problerm seems to be related to the sleep mode. When the MBA sleeps and then wakes up the sounds are missing. If I shut down and restart the machine the sounds will be back but only last until the maching goes through a sleep cycle.

Is the phone in a case? Try taking it out of the case. If that doesn't work, then your proximity sensor is broken. You'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.

This means you have iMessage enabled on each device with the same Apple ID. This is by design and intention when using the same Apple ID on multiple Apple computers and iOS devices. You should be able to accept this message, it will cause existing music, photos (not camera roll) and videos (also excluding those in camera roll) to be removed and replaced with those from this computer. All other user data on the iPad will be unaffected.

Well, I spoke too soon. Yes, I'm using the same account on both iPads, but I just changed my password for the umpteenth time and now I get the disabled message on both iPads. When rendering with Adobe Media Encoder, the sound only starts playing at 1 minute and 20 seconds

So I have this problem: I have a video which is an hour long and when I try to render it via AME the result will have the audio of the video starting at around the 1 minute 20 mark. I render to the YouTube 1080p preset.
What I have tried to fix this is:
- use .wav instead of .mp3 (didn't work)
- use After Effects itself to render the video (this worked)
- change the video start time to 1 minute and 20 seconds and then made AME start the render at that (didn't work)
- re-render (didn't work even on different presets)
It's also not my audio file because I've tried rendering it with the audio starting at 1:20 and then the track was playing from the start.
The video contains one audio track and one video and the project file is in After Effects.
Is my AME bugged or am I doing something terrible wrong?
Hope to hear from you guys.
PS: I really don't want to render via After Effects, due to file size.

I'm having a very similar problem. I just purchased a larger SD card thinking it was the card but it's definitely Media Encoder.

Not all DVD players, particularly older ones, accept some home-made DVDs. Have you tried with different DVDs?
Could be poor media: most of us here recommend Verbatim DVD-R, burned at only 2x or 4x.
If you successfully burned the DVD with iDVD and it plays on your Mac, it is unlikely you did something wrong, but full instructions are here:

Problem turning off video`s...sound continues to play

Hi, I am experiencing a problem when turning off a video and switching to listening to music - the sound continues to play over the music track or audiobook - is anyone else experiencing this problem? The only way I can get round it is by pressing the next/fast forward button....but then of course when I want to watch the remainder of the video it restarts from the beginning, not from where I left off! Any help would be appreciated.

There is a mechanical switch that when pressed in switches over to headphone jack.
It is inside the jack.
Try pushing the headphones all the way in.
