When 'PRINT' in ALV report using FM

I am getting an error when trying to execute and print option in the selection screen. my client system version is 4.6C
in the dump  the error at :
I am using FM at my report.
set_auto_redraw(cl_gui_alf_grid_base)
can you provide code for when 'PRINT' rs_selfild (dynamic form) for resue*grid_display

    Sorry,
    i need to supress the POP-UP which asks for background Print Parameters in the ALV report. when i press F9 in a selection - screen of a Tcode
    as we supress Pop-up for a smartform or script by passing the Print Parameters
    This 'RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS' excludes the commands(say F9 function code) in report
    I think we need to set the Print paramters in the Program
    please guide me

    Supports the creation of the field catalog for the ALV function modules
    based either on a structure or table defined in the ABAP Data
    Dictionary, or a program-internal table.
    The program-internal table must either be in a TOP Include or its
    Include must be specified explicitly in the interface.
    The variant based on a program-internal table should only be used for
    rapid prototyping since the following restrictions apply:
    o Performance is affected since the code of the table definition must
    always be read and interpreted at runtime.
    o Dictionary references are only considered if the keywords LIKE or
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE (not TYPE) are used.
    If the field catalog contains more than 90 fields, the first 90 fields
    are output in the list by default whereas the remaining fields are only
    available in the field selection.
    If the field catalog is passed with values, they are merged with the
    'automatically' found information.

  • End of Page event in ALV report using SALV class[cl_salv_hierseq_table]

    Hi ,
    have been working on a ALV report using the class SALV cl_salv_hierseq_table
    I am facing few issues pertaining to two things:
    1. Displaying some subtotal text along with the subtotals.
    Example refer the standard demo example: SALV_DEMO_HIERSEQ_FORM_EVENTS
    Now instead of A 17 and A26 I would like to show text like Subtotal for the Carrid.for subtotals and grand totals
    Like   Subtotal for A 17 is :      XXXXXXX
              GrandTotal is         :      YYYYYY
    2. We have a page break and a new page for every purchasing group as in the standard example SALV_DEMO_HIERSEQ_FORM_EVENTS for CARRID.
    I need to display some variable values as number of documents ,total number of records etc at the end of each CARRID group before a new page starts for the next CARRID.Please note i do not want it on every page.it should only be diaplyed at the end of page whose next page would be for next CARRID.[basically at end of every carrid]Example:after displaying all details for AA need to display the number of records for that carrid at the end of the page[as page break is based on CARRID]/

    at end of page event, for CL_SALV_EVENTS_HIERSEQ, has some useful parameters allowing to know where you are at the time of event
    parameter VALUE is of type CL_SALV_FORM which contains public attribute IF_SALV_FORM~ACCDESCRIPTION; you can slo get contents of it
    about text of total/subtotal, this is normally set in the layout

    For example for ALV reports so and so template and for Scripts  something defined.
    A template means I feel a std way of displaying data as per the orgn process/standards.
    check for that.
    Or use the same Std function modules and display the data and enquire further what's the template is?

  • ABAP dump when running an ALV report in a portal

    Hi,
      I have an ABAP report created in SAP R/3 4.7. Am using the ALV function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY to display the output. The programs runs correctly when run in R/3 using the SAP GUI.
      When the report is run in the portal, I get a runtime error 'MESSAGE_TYPE_X'.
      Please let me know if anybody has faced such issues.
    I checked the OSS note 702732 which talks about increasing the threshold value of the start parameter. But this is not agreed by the BASIS team.

    The ST22 error log is as follows:
    What happened?
    The current application program detected a situation which really
    should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
    triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
    What can you do?
    Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
    and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
    To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
    You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
    termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
    Error analysis
    Short text of error message:
    Data volume (84.550.400 bytes) is too large. (abap/alvgrid/size_nodod_mb
    Technical information about the message:
    Diagnosis
         You tried to send a data record to the front-end that contains
         84.550.400 bytes. However, the data volume is restricted to
         52.428.800 bytes.

         The running application program was terminated with a runtime
         error.
    Procedure
         Restrict the data selection if possible or contact your system
         administrator.
    Procedure for System Administration
         You can set the maximum size of these data volumes using the kernel
         parameter 'abap/alvgrid/size_nodod_mb'  (in megabytes).

       and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
       part.
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
       supply the source code.
       To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
       print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
       or which actions and input led to the error.

    HI,
    This is a Memory problem.
    System is allocated with a Max Memory of 50 MB,(see the dump code, in the last it is hardcoded in the std code)
    The data of your report is coming around 83 MB.
    Restrict your selection criteria of the Object and run the same report and see. it will work.

    I was just wondering if there's a way such that the header of an ALV report appears on the first page only when the report is printed out?

  • Column Heading are not displayed in ALV Report using CL_SALV_DISPLAY?

    I don't know how to read the code you pasted or I would have checked this myself.
    Do your fields in the internal table reference dictionary objects or elementary types? If not using dictionary types, the column names will be blank by default. If you can't change your fields to be dictionary types, you can try this to change the column names:

  • Blank screen when Back on ALV report

    Hello All,
    I have written an ALV report and when I click BACK on the output list, instead of taking me back to selection screen it is giving a blank screen, and again clicking BACK is giving me selection screen.
    ALV output -->> BACK --> Blank screen --> BACK --> Selection screen
    I am unable to trace out why this is happenning. I want behavour as it dies for other alv report.

    Getting data from different tables in to final output internal table, calling a function module to display ALV.
