Please , a " little stupid " problem ...
I had to interrupt 9iAS rel 2 installation on SuSe Pro 8.0..i deleted (manaually) all
dir's and files as far as i know..no more dir's and files under ORACLE_HOME, etc, and so on...
When reinstalling i get error...Active EMD
HOME../usr/local/orcle9ias/oraHome1...
Where is this information hidden ..yes, in some file but where..not in
usual places as in 8i DB installations...installer log says Java is questioning
EMD home and got answer but no hints where this critical information is...
not in Inventory or ...any clever one knowing ??
Suppose this have something to do with the fact of primary and secondary and so on iAS installations
on same machine...

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Had to uninstall Firefox, now I can't reinstall. Get error message "Can not find archive file." Please help!

I believe I had some kind of virus attack. I got everything cleaned up. (I HOPE) In the process of cleaning the virus, I unintalled Firefox because it wouldn't open. Kept getting the error message that Firefox was already open and I had to close out of the sessions or restart the computer. After restarting the computer several times and not being able to find any open sessions in task manager, I uninstalled. When trying to reinstall, I get the error message "can not find archive file." I've tried downloading Firefox from cnet as well as the Mozilla site to no avail. Please help. I'm getting tired of using Chrome already!

Downloaded FF4. Get error page to uncheck "Work Offline." There is no menu on page. Clicked try again. No help. Removed FF4, turned off computer, and reinstalled. Still get error page. Am real novice at 84 yoa.

thank you - that does make sense except i have another computer that connects to the internet in the same way but it doesnt happen on that one. i didnt change anything - it just started a couple of weeks ago after i updated firefox to 11.0. cant find any settings in firefox to alter either - thanks for the help

I cancelled the installation of the latest version of iTunes on my Windows PC and when attempting to reinstall it, I now get a message that "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem." Reinstalling the program does not fix the problem. Repairing the installation does not fix the problem. A search shows the "missing" file does exist in the MSOCache directory.
