When right clicking and selecting, open in new tab and then repeating on a new link, the first link opens again??.. Only happens with OS X

On a page with multiple links I like to right click a few links and get them to open in a new tab. However, about 50% of the time the first link opens twice. It only seems to happen with OS X but have not noticed any similar behaviour with other applications.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? ''A troubleshooting mode.''

When i try to run Firefox i get a error message "cannot run unicode version of ATL80.dll install ANSI" this only happens with firefox,internet explorer, Opera and everything else run fine, have re-installed firefox but still the same. run fine.

I had this problem as well. I found that somehow the firefox.exe file had been set to run in compatibility mode for Windows 95.
To check this on your system Browse to the firefox folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) and right click on the file "firefox.exe".
Select "Properties" and then the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure the option "Run this program in compatibility mode for" is UNCHECKED.
Then try running Firefox as normal. Worked for me.

The sound at youtube goes mute automatically and/or when i'm in a flash game and i press a link the sound also mutes. it only happened when i updated firefox :(

I attach a file in mail and the whole thing shows there ie. attach a PDF and the whole pdf content is displayed in the mail. Anyone know how I just get the icon toi appear as the attachment rather than the whole file? This only happens with pdf and jpg

For your own viewing, you can of course control-click on the attachment and select "View as Icon".
For others' viewing, it depends upon their email reader. To ensure that attachments are not displayed expicitly you can put them all in a zip file (via control click and "Compress") then attaching them, or you can use third party stuff like Attachment Tamer.

If Find My iPhone was set up, then the iPhone has Activation Lock and cannot be used nor restored without the Apple ID used to set up that service. There's nothing you can do yourself if you can't contact the person who sold you the iPhone if they failed to remove that service before selling it to you.
I'm not sure why the Apple Store needs the old iPhone unlocked if they're going to replace it for you, though. Is it that you want to get information from the old iPhone before handing it in? If that's the case, then you're out of luck. Without the original owner's Apple ID, there's no way you can access any of the data on the iPhone.

I just upgraded to Firefox 10 and all my pinned app tabs disappeared. Not sure how to get them back. This did not happened with any previous upgrades.

Was using Firefox 9 before upgrade.
Note that I was using Tab Utilities 1.1.2 which is now disabled because it is not compatible with Firefox 10 (but this utility does not really deal with app tabs anyway).

When bubble witch saga load the page is breaking it only happens with this game.

Popup blocker keeps losing my "exceptions" to websites. every day I have to go back in and enter the exceptions. This has only happened with the last two Firefox versions.

I go to "tools" then popup blocker "exceptions". (I have the block popups checked.) When I enter "www.paypal.com" and add it in, everything is OK for about 12 hours (or less). I will check to see if the exception is still there within 12 hours and there is nothing in my exceptions. I have added as many as three exceptions entered only to have them all disappear within a few hours.
This severely cramps my attempt to print shipping labels on the PayPal website.
I thought this latest version of Firefox cured the issue, but it did not.

Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" in "Clear Recent History" will remove exceptions that are stored in content-prefs.sqlite (site specific settings for zoom) and permissions.sqlite (exceptions for images, cookies, pop-ups, software; Tools > Page Info > Permissions) in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder].
The password exceptions (Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: Show Passwords) are also removed from signons.sqlite.

Firefox 6. When right clicking a tab no drop-down menu appears. Why do I not have the option to pin, unpin, etc.

I'm using Firefox 6 with all current updates. This is on a desktop pc running Windows XP (Service Pack 3).
At some previous time I was able to pin tabs - I pinned three. Lately I do not have a drop-down menu when right clicking on a pinned or unpinned tab. The feature is just not there.

When I email from iPhoto, separate emails with a photo on each, the email received on an iPad shows the first picture opened is shown in all the other emails.

This only happens when I use iPhoto to email. My daugther was sending pictures this way and at first it worked but now it does this same thing. Any suggestions?

First try this: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and do the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Second, if the above fails launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the problem persists.

First, you are using a version of Firefox that is very old and outdated. Please update to at least Firefox 3.6.27, or more preferably, update to Firefox 10.0.2. There are lots of bug fixes, security improvements, and much improved performance in Firefox 10.
After you do that, try seeing if you are still having a problem. If you are, is this that when you try to select "Open in a new tab" it opens in a new window instead? Or something else?

When right-clicking firefox in the task bar... v5 does NOT open a new tab, or open a new window when selected. Only crtl-N opens a new window iff Firefox is the active window.

Today FF 5.0 was DL-d and installed (automatic update is/was active). Help->About-> shows version 5.0, and there were no problems with the install.
I have ASUS G72 running W7 with the latest MS updates via auto-update.
FF is pinned to the task bar.
Previous version(s) allowed for opening new windows and tabs by right click of FF icon on task bar, and selecting "Mozilla FireFox" (which opened new window) , or selecting "Open New Window." Opening a new tab in the current session could be done by selecting "Open New Tab."
These features do not operate in the latest version (5.0), or have I fumbled the ball (by not having something set right in this version.

If you have tabs on top and no menu then the tabs are in a "Windows" area so there is no space to right. If you put tabs back to the bottom you will have most of your old behavior but because of the changes to tabs on top most of the tab context menu stuff all of the context menu part was lost except the customize toolbar stuff, double-clicking on an empty spot was restored, and eventually during the FF 4 beta most of the tab extensions Firefox messed up eventually worked again except in the area to the right of the tabs.
The Windows part of that double-click has to maximize or restore to normal,
and you have to be able to drag the window by it;'s title bar.

When right clicking and selecting, open in new tab and then repeating on a new link, the first link opens again??.. Only happens with OS X
