When save as TIFF is selected a pop up message appears saying that disk is full.  What does that me

When selecting SAVE AS in Photoshop CS5, I received a message saying that the disk is full.  This is this first time I have seen this message from CS2 on.  I don't understand what disk is being mentioned here.  Of course I understand what disk full means, but I don't understand what disk is being discussed or refered to.  Can someone please enlighten me?

It could be your OS disk, or the disk you're saving to.
