When setting up icloud on my pc, it asked for apple id, should i have used my icloud id instead?

I have been trying to set up icloud on my devices. my iphone and ipad work fine. The problem is with my pc,it asked me for my apple id, but icloud uses a different id. is this a problem and if so how do you change id in icloud settings.

You should use your iCloud ID.
