When setting up my facebook it automaticly added all my friends to my phones contact list,how do I remove them?
This must be manually selected when prompted - this is not done automatically.
Settings > FaceBook > Contacts > Off.

Just a guess here, but when you are in Contacts, look to the top where it says Groups. Could yours be set to Hide All Contacts?

If the duplicate groups appear on icloud.com, you can delete one of them there by selecting the group and pressing Delete.

I just upgraded my iPhone4 iOs and lost ALL Phone Contacts! How can I get them back?
HELP! I've been using my iPhone consistently for ALL phone numbers, since I have serious memory problems due to fibromyalgia. I upgraded my phone last night finally, having moved my photos out of it I had the space to download and install the upgrade.
I got a nasty shock this morning when I tried to make a routine call and found ALL of my phone contacts missing. They don't seem to be either in the cloud or in the phone. What happened? It said it was storing them in the cloud but they're all gone! How can I get them back?
IF this normally happens, why should I ever upgrade? Seriously! I didn't think to copy all of it out manually before upgrading, I'd upgraded once before without any problems. Addresses and other details gone too. I've got four numbers in "Favorites" but no context for them beyond location by state. I don't even know who they are - can't recognize just the numbers.Thanks, but I checked iCloud and it has none of them.
If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it. -
I HAD QUITE A FEW BOOKMARKS IN MY FIREFOX 3.6 VERSION.
A BUG PLANTED ITSELF IN FIREFOX AND ESSENTIALLY DISABLED IT.
MY ONLY RECOURSE WAS TO UNINSTALL FIREFOX. I DID THIS AND THEN RE-INSTALLED IT.

I just bought macbook pro with 10.8.3 os. When i start the system, all applications automatically start up as well! How can I turn them off. I checked the user settings and no application is set tom open automatically!

I got the iPhone 5s this morning and I kept my number and as soon as it charged I got all my messages, but when I connected it to my iCloud and backed it up, when it was finished all the messages I received were gone. How do I get them back?

It sounds like you may have either set the iPhone up as a new iPhone or restored from a backup that didn’t have your messages on it. If you do have either an iCloud or iTunes backup that you believe has your messages saved, you can restore from that backup to recover your information. Synch your contacts back from whichever program on your computer you've stored them in (Outlook, Address Book) or from your cloud service.
Not using your phone as indended and didn't have your contacts on your computer or with a cloud service? Then they're gone. -
My iTunes Match automatically charged me for a second year when the first year finished. In spite of that, I have lost all of my playlists on my iPhone. How can I get them back?

Is iTunes Match still turned on on your iPhone? If not, you need to turn it back on.
If it is still on, go to settings, music app and turn off match- sign out of iTunes Store. Reboot iPhone, sign back into iTunes and turn on match. Poem music app. Does this help?

I was messing with the setting to try to empty the inbox (100 emails) in one hit and somehow I managed to get 9,046 emails in there.... how do I remove them all?

When setting up my icloud mail I accidently pressed dont merge instead of merge. Can I still merge them and if I can, how do I do it. I am a complete novice at this type of technology so any help is greatly appreciated!!
No problem. If you sync your computer with your iCloud account, you can sync iCloud email, contacts, calendars and tasks with Outlook 2007 or higher; as well as your bookmarks with internet explorer and your photo stream photos. This will keep this data on your phone in sync with your computer. This guide shows how to set this up: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.
To enable photo stream, go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn it on. After that, when you take a photo on your phone, the next time it is connected to wifi with the camera app closed and has at least 20% battery life remaining, it will upload the photo to photo stream and the photo will be streamed to your computer if you are syncing it with your iCloud account.
Music is only synced with iCloud if you subscribe to iTunes Match. If you do, the music in your iTunes library (up to 25,000 songs) on your computer will be made available to download to your phone over iCloud without having to sync or store it on your phone.
You can also automatically back up your device to iCloud every 24 hours when it is connected to wifi and your charger. To enable this, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and turn it on at the bottom.
