When showing CD, make songs unchecked by default
When I insert a CD while iTunes is running, I usually want to import just one or two songs from the CD, not all of them, and not most of them either. Thus, it would be very helpful if I could set it so that when iTunes shows a CD, it would NOT automatically check the songs. I would rather that all the songs were unchecked, so that I could just check the one or two songs I want to import, then click the Import CD button. Is there a way to make it so that all the songs are automatically unchecked when you insert a CD?
Or, if anyone could tell me a more efficient way of unchecking songs, please do. The way I'm doing it now is:
(1) I click the first song on the CD.
(2) I shift-click the last song on the CD, so that all the songs are selected.
(3) I right-click the selection, then choose Uncheck Selection.
That's a cumbersome multi-step process that has to happen every single time I insert a CD, and I would welcome a more efficient alternative if there is one. Or, better yet, I would like to obviate the need to uncheck the songs in the first place.

I can't help you with doing this automatically, but have you discovered ctrl click?
If you place the cursor in one of the little boxes and press ctrl click, then this checks/unchecks all the little boxes in the current playlist. It works on a CD too.

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!

I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

In iOS 4, you could make separate photo slide shows with separate songs.
In iOS 5, this has changed. Now only 1 song is allowed at a time. It will not save separate song selections for each slide show.
Is there any way to fix this? This is something I use every day.

Thank youMy Photos app works the same on iOS 5 as it did on iOS 4 i.e. I can have a different track for each album. When I select a track for a photo album I then start the slideshow so that it shows the first couple of photos with the track playing - I'm not sure it's necessary to start the slideshow but I always do and it remembers that track for that album.

When I preview a song in iTunes, the album art preview shows up blurry
So anytime I preview a song in iTunes store, whenever I click on the small album art icon (at the top) to bring up the smaller player, the album art shows up blurry.
Has been happening for the past three or four iTunes releases. How can I fix it?
When I purchase the song, the album art downloads just fine though. Funny thing is, if I preview a different song from the same album, the album art loads fine. Not sure whats going on.Make sure that these two options in Edit > Preferences > Store are turned off:

Your metadata entries should then be persistent - with these options checked iTunes will be comparing what you have with the information held in the iTunes Store, and will overwrite with the latter for Store purchases (and if you have iTunes Match). If you have any iOS devices you should also turn off Show All Music under Settings > Music. -
I need the timenumbers that shows when I play a song, to be bigger. Any suggestions? I have tried to increace the letters, but the numbers didn`t get bigger.
Because the location for each song in your library is on your hard drive. If the hard drive isn't there, how can iTunes play it?
You'll have to move/copy the music from your hard drive to your computer's hard drive.
Basically, EASIEST way to do all this, if you don't care about your play counts, etc...
-Delete EVERYTHING from iTunes, so that your library is now empty.
-Go to "Advanced" inside of the "Preferences" window, found in the "Edit" drop-down. You can also access Preferences by pressing Ctrl+, (Press Ctrl and the comma key)
-Change your iTunes Media Folder Location to something simple, but on your computer. I use C:/iTunes. Make sure "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy files to...." are both checked. You can close Preferences now.
-Now, drag and drop your music from your hard drive into your iTunes library. iTunes will automatically add the music to your library, as you would expect, and also creates a copy of each file to place into that iTunes Media Folder you just created.

When I download a song from iTunes into my library, it often says it has downloaded, charges me for it, and on the song in my library shows the full playing time. However, when I play the song, at around halfway through it skips to the next song?

a) why it does this
and b) how to stop it doing this, because it still charges me for the song :/If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

I have just bought a new computer and downloaded the latest version of itunes. It has all installed fine, but when I plug my ipod and sync it, the music library shows all the songs and videos that are on there, but won't let me play them. Also, I can't add any new songs to the same library. It saves them elsewhere. I have had the previous version on another computer and it worked just fine. I have been online trying to find an answer but nothing. Hope someone can help me. Thanks
Installing iTunes does not cause content to magically appear on the computer.
Your media is only where you put it.
iOS devices are not backup devices.
Copy the media from the old computer to the new computer. -
when i play a song from my itunes library, there is a short "buzzing" sound about every 20-30 seconds. This same thing happened some time ago, and i thought i had it sovled by verifying that itunes was my default player. Howerver, it has started up again. Any ideas how to fix the problem??

Now when I create a song in Garage Band 2008, I cannot save the volume adjustment when I share back to iTunes, which is now version 11.1.1, and ultimately upload to YouTube. The volume reverts back to a default? low level. How can I retain the volume I assign in Garage Band, so that when the song moves to iTunes it doesn't revert?

Switched from ipod to ipod touch. When trying to sync, songs get lost. Songs show in the library and playlist but get a message that says songs cannot be found. An exclamation symbol with a circle aroung it shows on the missing songs. How can I sync the new ipod touch?

Make iPhoto open by default when I plug in a SDHC

It would make a lot more sense to me if this was in an appropriately renamed System preferences : CDs & DVDs. You could rename it "external media". -
When i search a song on the iTunes store nothing shows up
