Don't save. Close the documents.
Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Pages 5 will damage/alter older files, something Apple didn't tell its users.
Pages 5 is a severely stripped down version with over 90+ features removed.
We recommend trashing/archiving Pages 5 after Exporting any files you may have saved back to Pages '09.
Also rate/review Pages 5 in the App store.

When you on photo stream you will only get photos from the last 30 days (plus future photos added to your stream). That's because they only remain in iCloud for 30 days.
To get the old photos on your computer, import them using your usb cable, as explained here: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer.

You can transfer contents from your iPhone back to iTunes library:
First, *BEFORE you connect the iPhone, please go to the iTunes preferences and select "devices", then select "disable automatic syncing for iPad, iPhones and iPods"*.
Then, for those songs that you purchased on your iPhone: Transfer purchases from iPod to iTunes.
For all other non purchased contents (your photos etc), their are ton of third party programs, some is free: iDump, Floola. Some is shareware, but they does preserve playlist/ratings/playcounts/artworks etc: iCopyBot, CopyTrans

Delete the problem song(s) from library including file(s). Then go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Select Music tab to re-download again for free.

At the present time, the only way to clear that is to restore the phone as new. Perhaps a future iOS update will give us the option to clear that cache.

Last night all the spreadsheets disappeared from "Numbers" and likewise all the documents from "Pages." What happened and how can I get them back?

Why were the older entries in my calendar erased and how do I get them back?

All of the personal entries into my calendar are gone. The only entries still appearing are all Holidays and all personal entries for the last quarter of 2014. Thanks so much, you are absolutely correct. I must admit that I didn't realize that meant past entries on the calender were swept away after a certain period of time.

To get the Menu bar I followed the excellent advice - I had to press the Alt key and V to get the chance to pick toolbars from the drop down menu. I just right-clicked on the blank page and hit Alt-V.

Also mail folders I had created to use with rules had vanished.
So I rebuilt the inbox.
The mails showing take account online are unchanged, but all subsequent incoming email seems ok, but both my drafts folder AND my sent folder have had their contents deleted. In particular, how do I get my sent emails back?
