When starting a conversation via email instead of imessage

hello,
I have a iphone 5, when starting a conversation with your icloud email instead of your imessage, I am curious, if im texting and people see my email instead of my phone number, will I still be able to track my messages sent and receive thru my icloud email or no?..or does this still show up on my phone bill as a messaging texting or no?

I don't think you understand what im saying ...for example
1.. go to setting
2. then messages
3. then go to send and receive column
4..in there you can choose if you can text with email or phone..on bottom says start conversation with and gives a the list or phone number or email option and you can check it off.... I do it all the time

Cause of the issue
Gmail webmail accounts do not have separate sent items and inbox folders. The Gmail account web page contains a Sent Mail link on the left side, but this is not a separate folder from the inbox. Gmail webmail messages are grouped into conversations, resulting in all sent messages and replies from others appearing as a single email message entry in the inbox. This allows for easy reading and viewing on the Gmail web page, but, when integrated with the BlackBerry Internet Service account, results in copies of sent email messages arriving on the BlackBerry smartphone as new email messages.
Resolution
To prevent sent messages from returning to the BlackBerry smartphone each time, create a filter in the BlackBerry Internet Service account to block the sending of those messages to the BlackBerry smartphone.
To create a filter, perform the following:
Log in to the BlackBerry Internet Service account. For instructions on how to log in to the BlackBerry Internet Service account, see KB03781.
Click the Filters icon next to the integrated Gmail account.
Click Add a Filter to create a new filter.
Configure the filter so that email messages are not sent to the BlackBerry smartphone if the email message originates from the Gmail webmail account integration:
Type a name for the filter into the Filter Name field. For example, My sent Gmail email messages.
Set the Apply filter when field to "FROM" field.
Type the Gmail webmail address into the Contains field. For example, <user name>@gmail.com>.
Select the radio button beside Do not forward messages to device.
Click Add Filter.
Note: After creating this filter, email messages will not be received on the BlackBerry smartphone if sent from the Gmail webmail account.

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

Go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, and make sure that your phone number is checked. If it is not, then scroll to the top of that same screen, click on your Apple ID, and sign out of Messages, and then back in again.

Form suddenly returning xml file via email instead of pdf

I've got a form online that has been working the way I wanted for at least several months which is to send a completed pdf form (job application)as an attachment via email. Now I just received an email with an xml file instead of the pdf file. When I go to the website and test the online form it sends it as a pdf. So what could have caused one specific form to come back as an xml file? Could it be the type of browser, lack of Reader? Thanks for any assistance.

I know I set up the form with the extended reader rights, I would guess that both reader and acrobat were being utilized for this form. It seems strange to me that out of the blue the form sent in this manner if the permissions haven't been modified since it was setup nearly 6 months ago. Thanks for the feedback!

IMessage randomly starts new conversation from email address

My wife's phone has been having this problem for a while - both on her iPhone 5, and on her new iPhone 6.
In the settings for iMessage, it says she can be reached by iMessage at ___, and then lists her Verizon cellular number, and her iCloud email address. Under "start new conversations from" it lists her Verizon cellular number, and her iCloud email address, with the phone numbering having a check mark.
The issue: some iMessages she sends me will be from her phone number, and some from her email address. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to where the iMessage originates. The only clue I can decipher is it appears that when she sends photos, it might be coming through her email address, but I can say that's for certain.
Any idea what the cause is?

i have created an admin server, called adminserver
then i have created in the same domain a server called managedserver
both servers run on the same machine,at different port number.
i have created a machine, and associated managedserver to it.
in the machine/configuration/nodemanager i have set listenaddress localhost and
listenport 5555.
my nodemanager starts automatically at htat port. however, when i try to start
the managed server via adminserver console, i got the exception mentioned in
the subject.
can anyone help?

in the adminserver console i have defined a machine for teh managedserver, and
nodemanager is supposed to run at localhost:5555 (and indeed it does, because
ihave started it successfully).

Sorry, this is not a solution to your problem but i am trying to solve the same
problem for a week now.
I have wl7.0 sp2, 1 admin server, 2 managed servers on the same box. I get the
same error. I know that the default certificate installed provides a hostname
verification of weblogic.com. I turned the hostname verification off, i put in
the Dweblogic.nodemanager.sslHostNameVerificationEnabled=false, i get the same
error when starting the managed server. I went ahead and created my own certificate
for machine called mallik, created my own passphrase, created a new keystore,
made the admin server view the keystore, used the same certificate for both the
admin server and the node manager. It still fails with the same error. I went
ahead and added the machine 'mallik' to nodeManager.hosts file. It fails. I am
totally confused now what needs to be done.
My nodeManger.hosts looks like this:

Error opening PDF file when send as attachment via email

Hi,
I searched around the forum to resolve my issue and there's alot of post that is related but i can't find any answer to my issues.

I try to convert the smartform to PDF and then send the PDF as an attachment via email.
After converting the smartform to PDF, i managed to download the file and view it without any problem but i can't view the PDF as an attachment. It has the following error :-

"No Service" message when trying to share via email/text/print, etc.

Edited to note that I found the solution after the fact. Sorry for taking up discussion board space.
This morning I went to share a contact from a friend using my MacBook, and when I clicked on the "share" icon at the bottom right of the contact card, a message popped up saying "no service" instead of the usual text, email, print, etc. options. Just now, I went to share a page in Safari and got the same "no service" message. It's been awhile since I tried to do either, so I don't know if this is a new issue or one with Yosemite.
iMessage and iCloud Drive are both running fine. I have been able to send messages and upload/download files from iCloud drive this morning. I have restarted the laptop, and disconnected/reconnected my wifi several times. Help!?

Restart the computer in safe mode. Certain caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.
Safe mode is much slower to start up than normal. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
When the login screen appears, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.

Firefox won't load when using desktop/start menu icons but loads when starting off links in emails

When I try to start Firefox by the start menu, desktop or any other icon Firefox opens but then freezes and won't respond at all.
If I go to an email and then click on a link than Firefox will open and then load as normal and I can then go about using Firefox.
This has only be happening for the last few days and I have tried all the trouble shots and nothing has changed.

I Have this problem too. won't even start when dbl click the .exe file directly either. but a link in another app or email works fine. I have tried all the stuff here and uninstalled and reinstalled countless times. Using new profile, disabling Norton firewall and antivirus for the installs, only thing that worked was going back to v3.6. and a real early thunderbird too (it was also crashing on starting) Was fine for about three weeks then updated them, The went in stages not all at once and was fine till the newest group of versions. then went back to crashing. this time backgrading did not work. I installed the newest versions Firefox & Thunderbird many more times and by accident found that fresh after a install could open TB first and click a link in a email and FF started ok.
but still will not start from desktop or windows explorer
It is ridiculous to have to open another app to click on a link you don't want to get to where you do want. What is the difference in the links.

V.17.0 is the FF thats installed now and at least works as long as I don't try to open it
from desktop or windows explorer, more than a little nervous about going to v.20.

When do giftcards sent via email arrive?

I ordered an Iphone and an Ipad with the back to school discount. This means that I get an Apple giftcard. This giftcard should be sent to me via E-mail. But I did not get it yet. Does anybody know how long it takes until these giftcards arrive?

To ensure photo appears in emails with the correct orientation, hold the iPad with the Home button on the right when taking the picture.

How can I attach comments to a photo in iPhoto '11 and then have it show when I forwarded it via email?

I'd like to send photos to friends with comments comments about the photo. How can I do that? I'm using iPhoto '11 with Leopard.

Depends...
Most easy: simply attach the pic to an email and write the comments in the email
Most complex: Use the Description field in the Info Pane to write you comments, export the shot (File -> Export), checking the box at 'Titles and Keywords', and then email that. But be aware that the comment will be written to the IPTC metadata and the receiver at the other end will need an app that understands that.

Use the supported methods of getting the Photo into the mail message, via the Share menu or the Media Browser.

Sending 'Dunning Letters' via Email ? - -has anyone succeeded ??

Has anyone had any joy with sending Dunning letters via email at all
We can get it to work via FAX , but get the following error when trying to send via email
'connection error on node'
even tho, there is nothing wrong with the node at all
via SCOT , we have the default conversion as 'raw text to txt' which works with everthing else
If we change to 'raw text' to 'pdf' we actually get two PDF's - one is blank however
When viewed via SOST, you cannot open it straight up, you have to open an attachment
when we queried this with SAP, they say that dunning letters are set up to open as attachments
The function module is almost identical to that used by statements and remiitances, which works absolutely fine
I have posted this on a more technical forum as it is not an FI issue, it is a technical problem, which i hope someone has come across and able to resolve for us

Have you see SAP Note 1042992 - Dunning by mail w/ SAPscript: Introductory text w/ attachmnt? Please, check the steps that this note suggests. At a release 46B I did with the enhancement F150D001 (at ECC 5.0 it is too), and you have a demo coding in include LX150F01.

PD: I forgot, according your coding check what is the email address for the customer, if the customer doesn't have email, then the letter goes to the SPOOL order. Check it in the include ZX* or in the BTE.
