    Hello Bdev15,
I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too.  I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1725
If the songs still do not download, next I recommend downloading the songs when connected to another network.  For example, if you are using the cellular network, you could switch to Wi-Fi, or you could try an alternate Wi-Fi network.  Follow the steps in the section titled "iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch > Music" in the article below to download the songs:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If you are still not able to download the songs, you can report an issue with these purchases using the steps in this article:

First try to resolve #2 by:
    See

    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
    - New cable and different USB port
    - Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

  • TS1814 when i try to download the ne version of iTunes to the open item macbookpro i just purchased, i receive an error message at the end of the download indicating a file is corupt and cannot complete downloadt, help please

    Hello?
I bought a new/used open item macbook pro and tried to connect my iphone to it but it indicated I did not have the newest version of itunes. when i try to download it, at the end of the download, I receive an error message indicating the file is corrupt.

    Hi Barbara,
I had a similar problem recently and using the "more like this" feature I discovered an answer. To a problem posed by Holo7,  who like myself was a newbie on this platform,  b noir proposed a solution to Holo7's problem that also worked with my problem. It involves downloading a version of MS Windows Instal Cleanup and using it to completely remove all traces of the old version.
If you look at my problem (follow OldGit66) and the link to Holo7's problem then you will find b noir's answer which I think may help you. I am new around here so you might want to wait for one of the higher status correspondents.

I have all of my songs on an external hard drive.  It was working fine with iTunes; now when I click on a song, I get an error message that the song cannot be located.  What happended and more importantly, how can I fix this?

Is this an iPad issue? Not sure where you are "clicking" or how you are accessing. A little more info would help.

  • Error message at the end of intallation for itunes

At first I was not able to update my iTunes so I uninstalled that and now I am trying to install the new itunes, and the same error message that came up when I tried to update the iTunes appears. It reads 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publicKeyToken="1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b", provess or Architecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007054F.'
PLEASE if anyone has ANY idea what that means or how I can fix it, that would be fantastic...all I want is to listen to my music in iTunes. Please help!

    HRESULT: 0x8007054F
Those ones are generally caused by underlying problems on the PC that can also prevent Windows Updates from installing. So my main strategy with them is to try to treat the Windows Update proble. If we can get those installing again, that generally fixes the iTunes installation problem (although in this case, strictly speaking, it's probably an Apple Application Support installation problem) +en passant.+
Although it refers to a different error message code, the following document can be of some assistance with an 0x8007054F:
[Error when you download updates using Windows Update or Microsoft Update: 8000FFFF|http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;946414]
After applying the fixes there, go to Windows Update, and attempt to download updates. Do new updates install for you? If so, stock up on anything you're behind on.
After you're stocked back up on Windows Updates, try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • When I went to back up my MacBook to an external hard drive, an error message said the backup could not be completed because an error occurred when creating the backup folder.

I used a backup hard drive for my previous PC, but I have not done a backup on my MacBook yet, which I got this summer. When I hooked it up to my computer, it started the backup fine, and then my computer went to sleep, and so I closed it to let it back up overnight. The next morning I saw that it had been interrupted, and that an error occurred; the backup could not be completed because there was an error in creating the backup folder. I'm not sure what to do now because my data has been erased off of my hard drive now to prepare for the backup on my MacBook, but will I be able to use this hard drive again? Will the error message always come up?  Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I am always suspicious of using a different OS to the one that was used to run the backup.. ie if you used Snow L to backup then there is absolutely nothing wrong with using SL to restore.
Mount the TC sparsebundle and verify it using disk utility.
    A5 here. http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html
You might also like to load the widget in Time Machine so you get whatever the full error message is..
I cannot find any reference to the error code you are getting..
My recommendation would be to try it on a different computer.. restore the whole backup to an external drive large enough to accept the whole backup.
Use the manual methods pondini recommends.

Use ethernet only. Turn off wireless so it does not enter the situation.

  • HT1386 I am trying to sinc my iPhone with my iTunes to get my music on my phone and i keep getting an error message 42001 pop up when i attempt to sync what is this error message and what do i do to fix this problem??

I am attempting to sync my phone with iTunes and I keep getting an error message 42001 so my phone can not sync with iTunes... What is this error message and what can I do to fix this problem and sync my phone to iTunes?

    Dear Apple team,
I recently bought an iphone3GS from USA and jail broke it. Since I heard the there are lots of disadvantages I thought to unlock it officially through the original owner (in copy). He assisted me and confirmed that he unlocked it with AT& T (See the attachment). According to the instructions I restored the phone. But it is not activating with “Activation server is currently not available, please try again or try with iTunes”
When I try with iTunes , it says “you haven’t inserted a SIM” even though I insert the original AT&T SIM.
My current location is Sri Lanka ,so don’t have any apple support.
Please help me to be a good fan of apple.

There is actaully 125 Gb free on computer. Have run repair disk permissions through Disk Utility

    Thank you

Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
    First, empty the Trash.
Triple-click the line below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    find ~ $TMPDIR.. \( -flags +sappnd,schg,uappnd,uchg -o ! -user $UID -o ! -perm -600 -o -acl \) 2> /dev/null | wc -l
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
The output of this command, on a line directly below what you entered, will be a number such as "41." Please post it in a reply.
