When syncing, 16GB iphone now displays as 4GB!
I have just added some new songs to my itunes library and when i try to sync, i got a couple of error messages, saying that particulur files could not sync
When i then go to the Summary page on ITunes it now states the capacity of my iphone is 4GB, but its actually 16GB!! The capacity bar on the bottom, states no capacity!
However i know that my music and apps etc are only about 5GB - what happened to the other capacity?!
i haven't restored orginal settings yet, but do you think i shoud?

Connect the ièPod to iTunes.
Rightclick on the iPod icon in the left navigation panel: choose restore form backup.
When iTunes made a backup when connected (standard before doing sync) everything will be restored. If iTunes didn't make the backup, disaster.
It cannot hurt to try this.

Upgraded pc to ios 7 but when syncing to iphone 4 it crashed. Phone is now in recovery mode but it nearly finishes recovery then stops with error 3014. Phone rendered useless until this is fixed. Help pls? I have tried many of the suggestions for the error code given. Im getting frustrated. I'm not a techno so would appreciate simple terms or ways of explanation. Thx!!

Recently my pc crashed and I had to have a new profile built. Now when syncing my iphone 4s to the computer the sync gets stuck on step 8 and "syncing artwork" It never finishes syncing...just sits there for hours. Subsequently most of my music and apps are missing from my iphone because it never finishes syncing. How do I fix this?
1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

I'm at a loss as to what to do. Any help is appreciated. When syncing my iphone I get an message, "itunes could not sync calendars to the iphone because an error ocurred while merging data" I sync my calendar to outlook. My iphone calendar has all and the most updated information. Outlook calendar only shows my recurring events.

i've found a great & simple solution for this problem
just open your iCloud acc on iPhone
turn off calendars (it wil ask you to keep info or not - KEEP IT!)
and turn back on (MERGE!)
now SYNC it..
and that's it

When syncing my iPhone with my iPhone, I get a message that 2 items did not sync - use iTunes for help.
But I can't find any help information in iTunes at all, let alone when items are not syncing.
How do I figure out what is not syncing?Since it seems App related, I'm not sure what to offer you. I guess the only suggestion I have is for you to reboot your iPad and then try again. To reboot, hold the power and home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds (keep holding past the swipe to shut down bar if it appears) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. You won't lose any settings or data, so it's worth a shot.

I am syncing my iPhone now, and step 6 of 6 is taking significantly longer than it usually does. Is there a way to tell how long it will take, or complete the process?
Warp Stabilising is a two part process.
Analysis and Stabilising.
Both have a banner across the Program Monitor during the process ( unless you have turned that off.
Analysis start automatically on forst application...but you can rock in there and start adjusting the parameters.
You may need to hit "Analyse" Button again.
You should see the number of frames and the estimated duration during this process. -
When syncing my iphone all of the pictures on my computer are saved onto the phone as "Camera Albums" . As they are taking up too much space I want to delete them from the phone but don't see how to do this. Also, how do I prevent the pictures from the computer from being imported to the phone in the first place?
Photos are transferred from your computer to your iPhone, not imported.
This is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences, which can't be selected by itself. This requires user interaction.
All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library. If you transfer multiple albums or folders of photos, all photos in all albums or folders are stored in the Photo Library. The photos in the albums below include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. Photos in the albums below are not duplicates taking up double the storage space. This way you can view the photos in an album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos in all albums by selecting Photo Library. -
Error -4 when syncing my iPhone
When syncing my iPhone 4s it gets to copy new files to my phone and stops, an error message then appears which says "iPhone cannot be synced, unknown erorr occured -4" can anybody please tell me how to fix this?

Configure your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.

I have the iphone 4 and when syncing my iphone an error message appears half way through saying "itunes cannot sync apps to the iphone because the apps installed on the iphone cannot be determined" can anyone help? I cant back up my iphone as this appears every time :-(
As another post suggested, I restarted both the iPhone and the computer, and that fixed the problem.

when syncing my iPhone 5 to my computer I keep getting a message "copying diagnostic information" and then determines apps & tracks to sync but doesn't seem to copy anything followed by "waiting for changes to be applied" which seems to take at least 10 minutes. I have tried turning my computer off and on and iPhone off and on but no luck! Can anyone help please
You need to be running itunes 10.7 on your computer....

Check iTunes / Preferences - Devices. Delete any backups you see stored there.
Quit iTunes, restart your computer.

recently, when syncing my iPhone I transferred iPhone purchases to my library. Apparently I hit the wrong button and wiped out my old iTunes library on my PC. How do I get it back?
I cant find any of my recently bought songs or the apps i have purchased. When I was updating my ipod there was a button that asked about transfering purchases and I didnt read it, and I didnt update manually so i think thats why i lost everything. Yes.
Restore your iTunes library from your computer's backup along with all other important data that should be included with your computer's backup such as your documents, photos, etc.
Important to maitain a backup with any computer platfirm but event more so with Windows due to being very insecure and unreliable,
