When syncing iPod touch to MacBook, I have selected to sync only events newer than 360 days. Yet I get message that sync will change 8000 events on "this computer" most of which are years old and many are recurring events. I'm afraid to proceed with sync.
Having the same problem here. As a first time mac user, Apple has certainly made a bad first impression.
For me, the issue seems to occur when transferring files between computers that are connected to the same access point (when transferring files from wired computers on the network there is no issue). My vista laptop and every laptop I have tried has worked perfectly fine with this access point so I am 100% convinced it is the mac. Basically when I copy the files, after about 100mb, I am unable to access anything on the local network or internet until I restart Airport. The weird thing is that even though I am unable to access anything, the airport utility says it is connected. I might also note that the wireless signal strength is full.
If I can't get this figured out in a few days, this computer is going back to the store where it came from and I will officially label myself anti-mac. This type of issue is just unacceptable for something so main stream. -

do i have to have my ipod touch with me to redeem gift card or can i loan via computer to the ipod so it will be available on the ipod
All the music should be on the computer so you can just sync the music back to the iPod after you restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. Regarding app data, just export (email/file sharing etc) as much as possible so you can import it back.

My 1st generation Ipod touch won't turn on at all and whenever I press the buttons to reset it all I get is a white screen, or a white screen with black lines across.Help pleaseeeeee!
You can work through the five 5 R's of troubleshooting to rule out the possibility of corrupted software.
http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/
It might also be a good idea to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then charge it back up and restore it once more in iTunes.
Otherwise, it's likely a hardware issue with the iPod's LCD display, meaning you'll need to take or send your iPod in for service either via Apple or a third party repair service. Here is Apple's repair pricing.
http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/prices/
Note that they don't actually repair the device, but exchange it for one of the same generation, model, and capacity. A third party service will actually replace the damaged part for a little less. Google "iPod screen repair" and you should get a number of results to work with.

Where are my Web Form entries stored in the webBasics plan?
Where are my Web Form entries stored in the webBasics plan? Currently—in my trial site—I can access Web Form responses through a Custom Report. Will this option be available to me in the webBasics plan?
My hope is to use the webBasics plan with a Web Form (and a few custom fields) and have the reponses stored for me in the Businsess Catalyst interface. You do not get the CRM element of BC with the webbasic plan. With BC storing the forms it creates "cases" Which are stored against the "Customer" in the "CRM". You dont have access ot that with the webbasic plan.

I can't log in the App store because am from Zambia which is not listed in Apple outlets. How do i go around this as apple products are used globally and not only in the listed countries. My product is a Mac book pro. i feel this limits how i can use my product
Unfortunately you have taken an Apple product outside of the area where Apple currently does business. There isn't legally a way around this. Apple cannot license apps to you where you currently live.

How do I get a numbers spread sheet to open where I left it and not start from the beginning every time I open it?
There is no built-in setting for redirecting a bookmark to a new tab.
Is it possible that the computer which does that has an add-on such as the Tab Mix Plus extension installed? TMP has a setting for that (Events > Tab Opening).

Blue Screen Error when syncing ipod touch 4g 32gb with i tunes 10 on Vista
Hi
I'm trying to sync my ipod touch 4g with my itunes 10 using a Dell XPS with Windows Vista. After the point where the songs begin to copy (around 5 mins to 30 mins into copying) a blue screen error is caused and the computer shuts down automatically. The blue screen error ID is 2057.
I have scanned for viruses and its clean, tested my hardrive and its all ok, and now been to apple and got a replacement ipod and usb, re-installed i tunes 10 BUT its still happening.
i'm not sure what to do next ..any suggestions??
BTW my computer works fine until I try syncing the ipod so it's definitely something related to it.Just in case anybody is interested I managed to resolve the problem. Not sure if it was a just a co-incidence but after windows had auto-removed itunes 10, I plugged in the ipod and the computer recognised it as a working piece of hardware, although it actually thought it was a camera (not sure if that's normal).
Anyway I re-installed itunes10 but kept the ipod plugged into the usb all the time. When itunes had installed, i began the sync and the files copied far more quickly than in previous attempts. They are all on now and the ipod is working fine and no blue screen errors.
What probably happened is that when windows auto-fixed errors after the last crash(it didn't run an auto-fix after previous crashes), it fixed the error which was crashing itunes10 when syncing. I hope nobody else has this problem and the ipod remains ok. -
How can I transfer music from our computer to an Ipod Touch with a different Apple ID?
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID listed and sign out and sign in with other ID
You also may want to go to other places like:
- Settings>iCloud
- Settinge>FaceTime
- Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and change the ID
It may be best to go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Settings and start over again and set up the iPod again with his account/ID -
Syncing iPod Touch With iTunes
Recently encountered an error message when connecting iPod Touch to my Powerbook. Error says "iTunes cannot sync iPod Touch because syncing has been disabled on this computer." I get this error with two different iPod Touch's, a Gen 1 and a Gen 2. I cannot find any setting on my laptop where I have intentionally disabled syncing. Any ideas? Thanks.
Open iTunes first and go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and look for the check box "Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods".

Syncing ipod touch with more than one computer
I have a home computer and an office computer. My home computer has all my music, podcasts, etc. and when I sync my Ipod Touch with it, everything gets on the Ipod Touch. However when I then want to sync my Ipod Touch with my office computer, mainly to sync Ical and Address Book, it removes all the stuff (music, podcasts) from the Touch that is not on the Office computer. I've tried using Preferences and the Info tab to set things so that this wouldn't happen. I.e., trying just to sync Ical and Address Book but it keeps syncing Music and removing stuff I don't want removed from the Touch. What can be done?
Maybe if you subscribe to MobileMe you can do this?

So I updated my iPod to iOS 7, but not with my computer using iTunes, using the wifi and updating it through my iPod. What I am worried about is when I connect my iPod to the computer and to sync with iTunes, that it will delete stuff and will not reconize that my iPod has a new OS. I will update iTunes to the latest version. When I sync my iOS 7 iPod touch, will it delete everything? Please help.
Not if it is the Computer you Usually Sync with and you make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11) Installed on your computer

Any problems in syncing iPod Touch with new computer?
My wife's iBook died and now I need to switch her to a newer computer. She had been syncing her iPod Touch with the old computer and she also has an iTunes account. During the down time she has been entering calendar data directly into the iPod Touch.
When I get her backup data into the new computer what kind of problems will we encounter? Will it correctly sync her calendars and contacts? Can she move or close her iTunes account from the new computer? Thanks. Before you scrap the old one, go into iTunes and deauthorize the computer. When you get the new one set up and ready to go, go back into iTunes and authorize the new computer.
I'm not sure how you plan to transfer your library, but a portable hard drive or a big memory stick do work well. Don't forget to copy over the xml file as well as that will preserve your settings in iTunes. -
Problem syncing iPod Touch with iTunes 8.0.1
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.
I have updated to iTunes 8.0.1, and since doing so my 16GB iPod Touch (with the 2.0 software) doesn't want to easily sync. On docking my iPod it starts to sync and then I get a message telling me that "An unknown error occurred (13014)". I'll eject the iPod and then re-dock it and eventually it syncs - slowly and maybe after a few times - but it does sync.
Is anyone else having these problems and if so, what have people done to resolve these?Same thing just happened to me. Not only am I unable to re-sync my photos, but the photos that were in my iphone are all screwed up. I just posted under "Camera & Photos" hoping that someone would know how to fix this. I think our friends at Apple have done it AGAIN!
