When the initial page is closed and new tab is opened. How can I get back my google dropdown with previous searches.

When I double click my desktop icon Mozilla Firefox. It comes back with Firefox Start screen with google search. When you go to the rightside of the text box and left click. Its gives you a dropdown window with previous searches. When the google toolbar is on, if you click on a new search. It does give a google search text box, but the downdrop searches previously done is blank or no entry on the dropdown. Before once you click the new google search, the dropdown window is populated with previous searches. Its important for me to see previous searches I did. I hope you can help me. You either have to restore the Snow Leopard backup you made prior to installing Mavericks, or create a separate Snow Leopard partition to boot to in order to run your older PowerPC applications.
Either that, or upgrade the apps which won't run in Mavericks to newer versions that do.

Click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Plugins and disable the following: 
* Fun Web Products Plugin 
* My Web Search 
Both of these are adware/spyware and cause performance issues in Firefox.
Next, click the Extensions menu link (above Plugins where you are) and remove the "Ask Toolbar".

For your camera, go to Settings>General>Restrictions and be sure that Camera is set to On. Don't know why you can't find FB, be sure you checked all your screens and inside all your folders.

A search engine page has started appearing when I press New Tab. There are no new add-ons. How can I get back to the frequently-used sites thumbnails?

The only way you will be able to track that iPod is if it is turned on and connected to a wifi network by the person that has it.
