When the license run out.
Hi. I was wondering what happens when the license runs out for the Nokia 5800 maps application?
Will i loose all the functionality or merely the "extra" functions (Walk, drive).
Will i still be able to use the maps and search functions without a license?
you will be able to use maps but witouth the voice guidance and the 'extras' as you said. you can continue to update maps with the newest releases etc. or you can also opt to purchase an extension for the maps you have its your call.

My mac no longer saves its state when the battery runs out.. ??
Earlier when My mac drained it's battery & was not plugged in, it would give me a warning then save it's state & shut down.... Now 1 1/2 years into my Macbook Pro 17" intel it turns off but doesn't save my state, so anything not saved is lost.. (basically as if the power was pulled ) is there a setting for this ? or is my battery no longer performing well enough for my mac to safely save it's state before it turns off ?
Anyone ?

Why does my iphone take so long to turn back on when the battery runs out?
Ok, granted, I am guilty of not always plugging my iphone in when it gives me the low battery warning. But why does it take SOOOO long to get enough charge to turn back on? If apple is taking suggestions, then my suggestion is that you should just be able to plug it in and it should be ready to use within a minute, like other cell phones. I've had my battery die mid phone call, and then had to wait for it to get enough charge to call back. I know its maybe only about 5-7 minutes but that seems like forever to return a dropped call. Does this happen to anyone else or is something wrong with my phone? Any suggestions?
Apple set the default to 10 minutes before you can use the iPhone. After 2 minutes you'll get an image of the low battery. It's in the iPhone Users Guide, page 49.

After the battery run out my iPad turns off
My iPad turns off when the battery run out. Then I plug-in it for recharging. iPad start with Appel sight then switch off again. Then again start with Appel and off again. So it is not stoping on/off and not recharging. The USB cord is good, other devices recharging properly. That to do?
Plug your iPad into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, restart it by holding down the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple, then let go.

HT201210 Iphone 4 goes into recovery mode every time the battery runs out?
Iphone keeps returning to recovery mode when the battery runs out and is charged up again. I have updated the software and it still requires a system restore everytime the battery dies, does anyone have an information to help resolve this issue?
That's what I did. When selected restore, it downloaded and verified the installer, and then threw the error that the phone is in recovery mode instead of proceeding with the restore. I then tell it a second time to restore and it proceeds to restore; but I never get the message that the 4 has successfully unlocked.

Any help in this regards please.Hello douraid,
Start with the article below to get your iPhone to take a charge. Once you get it powered back on, you will want to sync again to make sure nothing was lost during the attempted sync.

I have just updated my 4s to IOS7. and now my battery discharge is significantly increase. With my Iphone fully charged, the battery run out within 6 hours without using the phone at all. Would it be possible to get the IOS 6.1.3 back to my 4S?
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!
All of your help is much appreciated, thanks -

Yes it will be available for the iPad 3.
The new iOS 6 will run on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5; the iPad 2 and third-generation iPad; and the fourth- and fifth-generation iPod touch.
Hope this helps!

Memory content lost when the battery runs down
My computer sometimes saves memory content when the battery runs down, as it is supposed to, so that when it restarts it is restored to the state it was in, but at other times it does not.
Is there a way to find out why this is and fix it?Thanks for the reply.
Doesn't Apple recommend that you do exercise the battery by using its full capacity? They even recommend running it down from full until the computer saves the contents of memory to the special file, then leaving it 5 hours before charging fully again.
I have never heard of the 20% threshold before.
The odd behaviour in my case is that the computer sometimes does what is should: saves the memory then shuts down and when started restores that data, but at others does not save the data first, and starts up normally when I plug in the power and switch on. -
What to do when the ssd "wears out"?
I recently bought a Macbook Pro with Retina Display, 256gb ssd, 8gb memory. However, after reading into the difference between hdd and ssd, I noticed that ssd's have a shorter lifespan because of each cell having a read/write limit. my question is what to do when the ssd "wears out" or dies? Is it impossible to fix or can I just buy another ssd? Thanks in advance.
Depending on the brand and technologies used by the maker, you can get a fair build
and a better guaranty or warranty with a product such as OWC offers. However one
has to always maintain suitable backups and duplicates, not just timemachine effects
but also complete bootable full system clones in external drives that don't use the
computer's port power to sustain or run them.
And also backup power supplies that filter grid power to limit damages from high and
low voltage, along with other effects of nature and man that can destroy electronics.
The backup scheme of over-redundancy is the answer to the problem of when product
failure can cost you not only a livelihood, but perhaps a few years of your life, too. And
not everyone can use the Cloud backup, some ISPs are incapable of troublefree file
handling and a local backup is a better use of your time if something happens.
SSDs wear out. Expect them to and be ready for that to happen. Mark your calendars! -

When my 3Gs runs out of battery i get a 'no sim' message and cannot make/recieve calls
When my battery runs out , when I restart my phone it says that there is no sim card in the phone!
My boss was upgraded to an iPhone 4S from an iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1
Prior to the handset swap, he reset all settings from the device. Despite doing this, the old handset continues to receive iMessages which were associated with his iMessage account (presumably his AppleID).
Shouldn't resetting the phone in this fashion have resolved the issue?
The owner of the phone mentioned in this article completed a remote lock/wipe of her phone, and it seems to have exhibited similar behaviour:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/12/15/imessage_persistant/
Has anyone found a reliable method for ensuring that iMessages won't be delivered to a lost/stolen/replaced device?
