When the machine is rebooted the "ntConsoleJava.exe" starts and uses cpu 97%
Hi,
I have coldfusion installed on a windows server2003 machine. When I rebooted the server the "ntConsoleJava.exe" process starts and uses the 97% of the cpu until you go in and kill it (there is something wrong here) also if it is rebooted the “coldfusion9 server service” is set to auto start but does not, this has to be started through the Administrator, services planel.
Can someone please help me out in this?

Thanks Bernard,
It works fine with JInitiator but not working with
the JPI. For JPI what settings I need to do ??hi TKARIM and Bernard, i am having similar problem even with the Bernard's recommended setup. could you post the webutiljini.htm (i presume you are using config=test) ?
i am actually using jinitiator 1.3.1.28 with Oracle HTTP Server of OAS 10gR2) calling Forms Server 6i (f60cgi). After setting up according to Bernard's recommended setup steps, the java console showed that it loaded the icon jar file when it could not read the form, but it skipped the loading of the icon jar file once it read and started the form. How do we specify in the form to pick up the icon from the jar file instead from a directory ? Or do we need to specify ? Any ideas ?
Thx and Regards

i already set the JAVA_HOME and CATALINA_HOME as following:
JAVA_HOME
e:\jdk1.3.1_02\bin
CATALINA_HOME
e:\Apache Tomcat 4.0
is anyone can help me to solve this problem? thanks!Although i'm not too familiar with Tomcat, i'm pretty sure this is because something else is already using that port. Try changing the port to something different maybe?
Also, there's a possibility that Tomcat is already started as a service in win2k. Check your services for something like Apache Tomcat to see if it's starting the service automatically.
These are really just educated guesses, but worth a try maybe. -
Help - cannot shutdown the machine, always reboot
Hi I has used archlinux for a year. Since kernel 2.6.29, I cannot properly shut down the machine. Every time I run "sudo halt " in terminal, the shutdown process starts normally, all services are stopped, the hard drive stops normally. But then it reboots itself
More than that, if I run halt command at grub, the machine will reboot too. But after I run halt command at grub for the second time or or the third time, the machine shuts down eventually
This happens in my machine for kernel 29 and 30
Do you guys experience the same problem? ThanksI always use 'sudo init 0' to turn off my PC and 'sudo init 6' to reboot it.

The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component
Hi
After uninstalling the binaries, and reinstalling / joining back to the farm, everything seems happy expect search.
When we try and start the Search Service back, it takes us to the Search Application section, and shows this message;
The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component
How can I get search to work again, or get around this error?
I am pretty inexperienced with SearchHi Tibsy80,
For your issue, it can be caused by the search admin timer job was disabled.
Run below PS command to know the status:
Get-SPTimerJob job-application-server-admin-service | fl
If it returns “IsDisabled: True”, ran below PS command to enable the service:
Enable-SPTimerJob job-application-server-admin-service
Then run below PS command to stop and start the timer and IIS reset:
Net Stop timer
Net start timer
iisreset
Then wait 1-2 min and try browsing to the SSA again.

In the future it's a good idea to remember not to do something when you don't know what you are doing and what happens when you do it.

Another post with a well-known title. Believe me, I know. Here's my setup;
- 1 Server 2012 WFE, SharePoint Server 2013, totally up-to-date, including the september 2014 hotfix
- 1 Server 2012 DB, SQL Server 2012
Installed SP 2013 using PowerShell, with the AutoSPinstaller. Worked like a charm. Got everything up and running, with some tweaking here and there to customize it to fit my situation. Now, I can't get the Search Service Application to work. Must have created,
deleted and recreated it at least 30 times. Used both PowerShell scripts, PowerShell line-by-line, Central Admin, heck, I even went so far as to use the configuration wizzard... No luck. I keep on getting the message that search cannot connect to the machine
that hosts the 'administration component'.
In order to avoid answers that suggest all the things I've already tried, here's a summary of the various scenarios I followed:
Tried both a dedicated application pool as well as the SharePoint Web Services Default
Timer job job-application-server-admin-service is running and not showing errors
IIS 8.0 is installed, so is .NET 4.5 (not the known perp of IIS 7.5 and .NET 4.0)
the get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceInstance -local returns a healthy, online state
the SPEnterpriseSearchQueryAndSiteSettingsServiceInstance is also running
FireWall is disabled; registry has the BackConnectionHostNames modified with the necessary FQDNs
Accounts used to install and / or run the serviceapp all have sufficient rights - tried a dedicated managed account, SP_2013_SearchSvc, the SP admin account, and even the original Farm account; all to no avail, I keep on getting the error message.
Even tried stsadm to start the server search running - NOTHING WORKS!!!
As you might understand, this is driving me nuts. About to miss my second deadline, and no amount of IISresetting is making this go away. Been stuck on this issue for far too long, now (my searching is measured in days and weeks instead of hours, by now).
Whoever helps me solve this - you will have my eternal gratitude, and a nice bottle of Prosecco. Or whatever's your poison. You need to come get it, though. I´m situated in the Netherlands. Hey, you always meant to visit Amsterdam and see for yourself, right?
Thanks, community, for coming to my rescue! Thanks again - Alas, I've been there. Deleted Search a dozen times, at least, and tried installing it, initially using a PowerShell script (tried several scripts actually, from full-blown total Search Applications with extensive topologies to the most basic
of basics 'please just start without showing me errors'), PowerShell line-by-line to see where things went South, next tried installing through Central Admin (hoping that it was my own stupidity in overlooking things and hoping The System would get it right
for me), and eventually even tried using the config wizzard as a total and utter last resort - Nothing worked.
At first, I found out that removing a Service App needs a *little* bit more work than simply removing it through Central Admin, but by now I can truthfully state that if there's one thing I've become supergood at, it's removing Search Service Applications.Totally.
I will check out the article, though - I realized early on in my SharePoint experience that regardless of what you think you know, there's so much more to find out. I know, that's almost philosophical. That is, my friends, indeed the point I've reached... -
I have stored everything on my Macbook pro in a external hard drive (Time Machine) Now that we have "wiped the machine" I am told I can start it over and load ontent--apps, docs, etc from the hard drive, just plug it in, find the time machine and what? ITunes worked fine on my Windows 7 machine. Had to rebuild the machine but all the data remains. Downloaded a new version of iTunes and cannot figure out how to load all of my music currently on my hard drive. Tried moving "iTunes Library" file. Did not work. Never had trouble like this before.
Many thanks for your post. I've been trying for days to get this sorted and was getting well fed up with I-Tunes. Really thought i'd never get it working again. Tried un-installing it, loading older versions and they still wouldn't work.
Came across your suggestion by chance and top man - it worked..!!!!
How you even knew what to do is beyond me - but thanks so much. I really was pulling my hair out.
You need to put your post over the Web as there seem to be loads of people having the same trouble.
Thanks again. -
My iPhone became wet at the beach. I put it in rice for 4 days. When I connect to itunes, it says the phone must be restored. It starts and then gives either the error 2001, or 2006. What exactly does this mean, and is it worth getting repaired?
Thank you...http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275

When I try to upload a movie from I movie with the new iOS 7 it says sign in to YouTube when I do the screen goes back to where are started and it says to sign in again. Any suggestions?
Google seems to change their login security occasionally, and apps that assume it will work a particular way get left out in the cold till they are updated, since the login process is hard-coded into the app.
Here is the automated e-mail I received today from Google when tried to upload a movie using iMovie.

When I try to launch the Itunes app on my Iphone, it starts and then quits right away. What should I do?
I would reinstall iOS 7.
Open iTunes (11.1 or later) on your computer and plug your iPhone into your computer.
Sync your iPhone with iTunes.
Click on your iPhone device and from the Summary Tab, Back up using iCloud and/or iTunes.
On your iPhone, open Settings/iCloud and turn off Find My Phone.
In iTunes, click on the Restore button on the Summary tab next to Check for Updates.
iTunes will completely wipe your phone and reinstall iOS 7.
Setup your iPhone as new and restore from your back up.
Check to see if the iTunes app is functioning correctly and not closing on you.
I did this last night when setting Limit Ad Tracking kept closing Settings and taking me back to the Home screen. After reinstalling iOS 7, the issue went away. -
How to REBOOT the Network without rebooting the Mac?
Is there a way (perhaps with Terminal) to reboot the Network without rebooting the Mac.
Sometimes after rebooting the ADSL2+ Router (Comtrend CT-536+) from a web browser pointed to http://192.168.1.1 the router reboots but the Ethernet connection to it gets stuck. The System Preferences Network Built-in Ethernet shows orange instead of green and there is no connection to the Internet. I must reboot the Mac to get out of it but I wonder if there is other way to refresh or reboot the Network without requiring a full Mac rebooting.
Thanks.I'd try setting up a duplicate Location/Connection in System Preferences> Network... slightly different name, then if it gets stuck try switching to the other Location in Network, then hit the Apply button.

After installing 1.5 with the msi, can I then zip it up and use that version on another computer? I've done this successfully already for my needs etc. Just not sure if this was "kosher" etc.
I've installed Java JRE/JDK 1.5 using:
jdk-1_5_0_12-windows-i586-p.exe
I installed it on computer A at C:\jdk1.5.0_12. I then zipped it up and ran it successfully on computer B for my Tomcat service needs. It went seamlessly. However, did I over look any risks doing it this way. I did it this way because the MSI prompts a user for a install path. I need it for both the JRE/JDK to use C:\jdk1.5.0_12. Zipping up my installed version prevents that pesky user-error stuff/support tickets due to user error stuff.
Granted, I'd rather have users fill out a support ticket due to a typo then erroneously think I was successful at repackaging Java for our needs etc. Follow?
And therefore, was it ok to zip it up and port it?
Thanks a lot for your time and help. Truly appreciated!

[Java Web Start|http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/javawebstart/index.jsp] *(<- link)* is a better alternative for installing (and updating) Java apps. JWS works on all OS' for which there is a JRE.
