When Time Machine tries to access my Iomega NAS Network Attached Media Drive, the following message is displayed:
The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. Please contact your system administrator to resolve the problem.
This is since upgrading to OS X Lion
Well here we are October 6th and I just bought my new 2T iomega Home Media personal cloud server with delusions of grandeur about how great it was going to be to move everything off several USB drives and on to one NAS with cloud access.
Yea not so great since I can't move my time machine file over

I am getting this error when time machine tries to back up to a time capsule. "The backup disk image “/Volumes/JUDY ARCENEAUX's Time Capsu-1/JUDY ARCENEAUX’s MacBook Air.sparsebundle” is already in use." Same time capsule has worked in the past.
First, restart the computer and the Time Capsule. In most of the cases, this should solve the problem.

Hi,
I am trying to do my first back up using Time Machine but seems there is a problem.
I connect to the internet using cable, which I connect to the Time Capsule. I use it as my router as well and configure my wireless network just fine. When Time Machine tries to connect and do a back up it disconnects everything and I have to umplug everything, reset the Time Capsule sometimes to be able to get the iMac to find it again (netwerk stops working as well)
Please let me know if you need more info to be able to help me out.
ThanksI have experienced that myself and I've not found a reason or solution to it yet.
I also read somewhere that the Time Machine software can continue with the backup after an interruption. If that's the case, this may be a minor inconvenience.

When Time Machine starts backingup, It popsup a small window that stays up the whole time it is backingup. How can I make it do its job in the background without the popup?
just let it do it for the first time. actually you might want to option click the little symbol next to the time representing timemachine then click verify bacups

When I completed my iMovie (after hours of work), I can't move it to iDVD or the Media Browser. The following message always pos up: "The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (-50)". What is this and how can I fix this? Please help ... When I try to do a Time Machine backup with my Seagate HD, and if I accidentally have Time Machine automatically on, it will fail if the HD is not fully on and recognized by the computer yet. But the problem is that when this has happened (twice now), it seems it loses all knowledge that it has backed up using Time Machine before and it will only try to back up the entire Mac HD to the Seagate. The Seagate already has 147 GB of data from prior Time Machine backups and I only need to backup the latest stuff since my last backup, but it won't let me do that. It tries to do the whole drive and it says it can't because there is only 135 GB of space left and it needs to backup 147 GB. Anyone know how to fix this and get it to start backing up again without erasing the drive and starting over? That's what I did last time. I erased the Seagate and then reset it as my Time Machine drive and it started working fine again until it failed and reverted to the problem. Thanks
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message that corresponds to an abnormal backup. Now
CLEAR THE WORD "Starting" FROM THE TEXT FIELD
so that all messages are showing, and scroll back in the log to the time you noted. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
If all you see are messages that contain the word "Starting," you didn't clear the text field.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

I am trying to use two DAQmx tasks attempting to access two channels from
USB-6366 in the same time. But it gives me an error Error -50103. So I looked
online and find out it says ' It is not possible to have multiple DAQmx tasks
attempting to access the same physical device. '. So I am wandering how can
collect data from my ai0 and ai1 channels in the same time? Here is my code,

iTunes imposes a 90 day wait period before a device can be associated with a different ID. If iTunes support only removed all devices associated with your ID, this does not override the 90-day wait period. From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627:
"Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90 day timer. The timer must complete 90 days from the day the device was associated before it can be associated to another Apple ID."
Unless iTune support can override the wait period for you, you have no choice but to wait if you want to download it from iCloud. If your purchases music is on any of your iOS deivces, you can transfer it to the iTunes library on your computer by authorizing your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music (in iTunes, Store>Authorize This Computer), then connecting your device to your computer, opening iTunes, and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. -
When I try to use the radio feature under "computer" I am now receiving a message that "an error occurred, please try later". This is now affecting all of the stations and does not go away when I try later. I have reset the password but am still getting the message. Any suggestions?

I have attempted several different choices within preferences and yet, it still won't work. The confusing part, is that when I'm at a different location, and have chosen a WIFI network there, each time I open the laptap, it automatically connects to that network. Not so at home. Is there anything I can do short of un-installing?I am having the same problem plus other problems galore. Since yesterday, I have switched back to version 3.6. I had taken care to install ver4 in a separate folder, so as not to disturb ver 3.6 installation. The biggest other problem was that ver 4 was using three times (as compared to 3.6) the resources, slowing down the PC.
