When transaction variant didnt work

dear all,
i copy a transaction variant, however when i run it, it doesnt work.
can you advice me what to do?
it a cross-client transaction variant.
its from tcode iw51, and it contains other screen from other program.

when i check the the box for Do not display screen of SAPLIQS0 0100 (1st screen of IW51), when i run the program, other screen does not shown, if is remove the check then it will run properly
here's my requirement:
in IW51 i need to skip the screen SAPLIQS0 0100
but i need to display the screens
               SAPLBG00 3100
               SAPLIPAR 0100
               SAPLIPAR 0122
                      .....and other SAPLIPAR screens
before displayinge the 2nd screen of IW51
these screen:
               SAPLBG00 3100
               SAPLIPAR 0100
               SAPLIPAR 0122
                      .....and other SAPLIPAR screens
are popup, they popup in SAPLIQS0 0100
so how would i do this? any help please.

Transaction variant not working

I am facing with this peculiar problem of transaction variant. I created a transaction variant as desired by my client for VA01 and activated the same. I checked the status in the transaction VA01 and there it showed that the transaction variant has been successfully applied. But when I check for the fields that I wanted to be made non editable or invisible the same was not reflected in the transaction. Now after trying enough like creating new transaction variants, adding new screen variants to the existing transaction variant, somehow it has started working. But now when I change the transaction variant, even after activating it, the changes in the variant are not reflected in the transaction. Old changes are being reflected. Please advise!
The reconstruction steps are as follows:
SHD0 -
Creation of transaction variant - with processing.
Activating it.
Appreciate a quick response. Thanks in advance.
Note: It might be that I am going wrong somewhere, I would really appreciate if someone could send me a file containing screenshots on how to create and use transaction variants. My email ID is

just check out the following pre-requisites if you have followed them or not:
You can assign various transaction variants to individual sales document types.
With the help of transaction variants, you create various variants for the same transaction in order to simplify your transaction flows. You can achieve this by:
Preassigning fields with values
Fading out and changing input availability for fields
Fading out entire screens
In this way, you can provide your users with screens which are defined according to their specific needs per sales document type.
When a transaction variant is created, several screen variants are created for each individual screen for the transaction chosen for the variant. The system accesses this screen variant when a transaction variant is applied.
PrerequisitesIn the standard system, transaction variants for Sales (for example, quotation, sales order, credit memo request, group master contract) are defined for all business objects. Assignment of transaction variants for the sales document type is carried out in Customizing for sales document types.
Activities
You will find the transaction for creating a transaction variant in Customizing, under General Settings - Field Display Characteristics - Configure application transaction fields. You can find further information on this in the implementation guide.
Assignment of transaction variants to sales document types can be found in Customizing for Sales, under Sales - Sales Documents - Sales Document Header - Define Sales Document Types in the Variants field.
In order that a transaction can be called up depending on a sales document type, the system of course needs the information as to which sales document type should be worked with. This choice is however made by the user on the initial screen first.
This means that the initial screen can not be modified or faded out within a transaction variant. If you wish to miss out or modify the initial screen with the choice of sales document types, you need to create a variant transaction, this means a variant is created for a complete transaction. This transaction will then have ist own name, which has been defined by you.

Transaction variant not working in quality

Hi,
I have created a transaction varient in SHD0 and activated it in develpoment and then
it is working fine in development system.Then variant transported to quality and there also
it is activated but somehow it is not working in qulaity sytem.
I checked in the respctive transaction with following path
SYSTEM>>>>>STATUS>>>>>SAP REPOSITORY DATA and i can find it is transaction variant name
below screen program.
Pl suggest the resolution.

Hi,
Check the variant is transported properly in QA. If present then check the transaction for the same.
If you make this transaction for a table the check the table delivery and maintenance allowed or not. It should be maintenance allowed.

VA01 - transaction variant - NO_VARIANT

Hello all,
We created a transaction variant for VA01 to make one of fields in VA01 display only for certain users. To make our transaction variant work, we used NO_VARIANT variant in VOV8 transaction. Our transaction variant is working now but in VA01 trasaction we are getting additional fields which we did not see in VA01 before using NO_VARIANT in VOV8. We are certain that NO_VARIANT is bringing in more fields into VA01. Can we modify NO_VARIANT or is there a way to avoid additional fields that are coming in becuase of NO_VARIANT? Please let me know.

It's not recommended to change standard variant. But you can copy variant NO_VARIANT to ZNO_VARIANT by transaction SHD0 and copy transaction variant to your own name and copy too variant screen NO_VARIANT_0101 to your own ZNO_VARIANT_0101. After you can change value and assignment. And assig your Z....variant to the dicument type with VOV8.

Screen variant not working when assigned to transaction variant in SHd0

Dear All,
User requires tax code column for line items in MIRO to be made non-editable. I am using SHD0 transaction for the same. I am able to make the column grey-off by creating screen variant. The program is SAPLMR1M and screen number 6310. When tested individually thru SHD0 the variant is working perfect. But it is not working when assigned to a transaction variant. Any clues on the same would be really helpful.

Hi,
Try to record again for the whole set of screens instead of doing that for the individual tax screen and only for the tax screen make the required field disable.
Once done and saved, you can see all the screens variants in the transaction variant.
Use the Change WITH PROCESSING OPTION.

Two transaction variant do not working for a user

I have created two Z t code and made transaction variant through T Code SHD0 and assigned these two ZTcode to a user. now when a user is running the Ztcode screen variant is active on only one. when i assign second one to the user again than screen variant of first ZT code do not work.
can any one tell me why system is doing so.

Basically I have created two transaction variants- one for XD02, the other for XD03. When I am trying to assign a user to both these transaction variants ( using SET PROPOSAL), only one is getting assigned, other is getting deactivated. Please help.

Transaction variant to disallow change in FB02 not working for FBL5N / FB09

Hi SAPtechies,
I have created a transaction variant to disallow change in all fields other than Text (BSEG-SGTXT), and activated it for standard transaction FB02.
This works well when FI document is changed via transaction FB02, but fails when the same document is changed via FBL5N / FB09.
The screen is same for FB02 & FBL5N:
Program (screen)     SAPMF05L
Screen number        301
Program (GUI)        SAPMF05L
I have already checked for enhancement in PBO INCLUDE MF05LO00, but there was no success.
Can anyone suggest me another methadology to greyout or make FB02 fields uneditable, with same functionality also working for FBL5N/FB09?

I could achieve a way to disallow editing in FB02 item level fields using substitution & custom exit.
Additional requirement was that I want to assign authorization for particular users who can change all fields.
Any suggestions on it?
Our Basis team has created new role & assigned this role for FB02.
But this role has got many technical authorization objects.
Below check is not working:
AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'S_TCODE'
           ID 'TCD' FIELD sy-tcode.

Transaction variant for VA02 is not working for few fields

Hi All,
I have created a transaction variant for VA02. Made the necessary code changes for populating the variant name in MV45AFZZ. It is working fine for all the screens and all the fields except for second screen of VA02.
First screen - Enter sales order number.
Second screen - Overview screen.
In second screen, I have disabled all the screen fields. When I run the variant, all fields are disabled except sold-to party, ship-to party and create sold to party ICON. All these fields belongs to screen 4701.
In the transaction variant I can see that these fields screen attributes set to output only. I don't see anything different for these fields compared to other fields.
First I thought it is because of mandatory fields. But some other mandatory fields are disabled after my changes. Why is this happening only for these 3 fields (Only for screen 4701 I can say).
Surprisingly, if I do any action like enter/select other tab, these fields are getting disabled.

I have also created a Transaction ZVA02 as i dont want this variant to be applied on standard VA02.
It is working on first screen but not on subsequent screens. Am i missing something, some link or activation?

Transaction Variant related problem in Drill Down working

Dear Sir,
We had a business requirement that in CO02 transaction users should now be allowed to change the Material Component quantity . To address this requirement we had created a Transaction Variant YCO02 and it is working in normal course .
However we face problem in certain Drill-Down working . E.g in Tcode COOIS , when users double click a Production Order it goes to CO02 and user has no authorization for CO02 . Insteat of CO02 , user has authorization for YCO02 .
Pl guide us as how can we resolve this problem.

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.

Problems with SKIP FIRST Screen when calling a transaction variant

I have a transaction variant of VA02 that suppresses the display of the pricing button on the conditions screen. I have created a variant transaction for called ZA02 which calls this variant of VA02.
In my program I have coded the following :-
      SET PARAMETER ID 'AUN' FIELD VBELN.
      SET PARAMETER ID 'VPO' FIELD POSNR.
      CALL TRANSACTION 'ZA02' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
I would have expected the program to display the second screen of VA02 but it displays the first screen and when I hit return key the second screen is then displayed.
I don't think I need VPO setting but when I code
      SET PARAMETER ID 'AUN' FIELD VBELN.
      SET PARAMETER ID 'VPO' FIELD POSNR.
      CALL TRANSACTION 'VA02' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
VA02's second screen is displayed
Any help as to how to Skip this first screen with ZA02 would be greatly appreciated

Yes you are right Reg thanks for that.
But it appears that VA02 doesn't require it setting anyway. I changed the PID to APO and indeed I've even commented the line out, but my program goes to the second screen when calling VA02 but stays on the first screen when calling ZA02 .

I have a wireless bluetooth keyboard and it doesnt flash the usuall green when it is turned on. I was doing playing video games and my keyboard suddenly didnt work and i checked for the green light and it was off. I tried changing batteries. Pls help.

I was using my key board when it suddenly stopped working. I changed the batteries and still no luck. I also tryed to manually connect the keyboard back to bluetooth but that also didnt work. I thought about the time when there was a battery leak in the keyboard and that could be the problem but i question it being able to work with the battery leak. It also isnt lighting up green in a little hole on the right side coner of the keyboard. I dont have a backup keyboard and i cant log in to the computer without it. It could possibley be that the keyboard completely doesnt work and i dont know if it does. Please Help.
