Error on iTunes 11111 when try to download an app
Hi all i've got a problem with iTunes Store: when i try to download an app i get error unknow error (11111)
The same thing apens on iPhone: when i try to update an app it doesn't work and if i delete and reinstall the app it doesn't work again.
How can i solve this problem?Add one more disgruntled user to the list. First noticed that I couldn't download upgrades on my iPhone. It would prompt for password as normal, would briefly show "waiting" on the app icon and then just stops with app store still showing update. True deleting the app and installing from iTunes. This worked, but iTunes library had old version of app so it still showed an upgrade. I then deleted the app from the phone and iTunes and that is when I started getting the 11111 error. I've since discovered that I can download any new content to any of my linked iDevices, but cannot download any type of previously purchased content. No previously purchased music not on device, no previously purchased uninstalled apps, no installed app upgrades, etc. ALL show up in purchased content lists, but when you attemp to download it appears to be starting and then simply fails with no errors on the iDevice(s). I've also tried signing out of my account in settings - store, performing a hard reset and then signing back in, but alas, no success.
C'mon Apple, obviously a problem that is happening to numerous users and it started happening to us all at the exact same time. You got us iAddicted, now give us our iFix. -

1009 usually means your IP address originates in a country that does not have access to an App store. -

please slove the problem of error 1009 ...Apple has no App Store in Iran. The US Government has severe restrictions on US companies doing business in Iran, and there may well be other issues such as lack of available infrastructure, issues with Iranian law, or other problems that would also prevent Apple from doing business there.
Unless and until Apple is able to open an App Store in your country there's nothing you can do, and quite frankly I think that's not likely to happen anytime in the foreseeable future.

Delete the app and redownload from your Purchases list in the Mac App Store.

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

I got an 15 dollar iTunes card for Christmas. I took a picture of the card code to redem the card I accomplished that but when I try to download an app that cost money it asks me two security questions that I forgot the awnsers to. Than I click the forgot security questions than it sends it to my email but that's the problem I do not get any email.
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of doing so include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

Hi apple, I have currently got a visa $50 gift card. I put it on my iTunes account I have currently ran out of funds on the card. Now even when I try to download free apps or even update, it says it requires a new credit card. Is there a way around this
We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it needs to be valid. Have you tried removing it from yoru account ? On your iPad try tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. -

II've just created a new apple Id & account but when I try to download an app the box that appears on your I pad defaults back to my old apple id to which I had to close down as this was a mail address that got hacked.
how do I change this to show my new account? I presumed that once new id had been created then this should of updated automatically.Good luck. It took me weeks to fix this when I had to do it. Your old ID branches out in lots of places. You may have to delete app and get them again, at least that is what Apple told me. Plus, all of your settings on your iPad that required any ID, will have to be changed. My old ID kept showing up in different places for weeks. Changing it on Apple.com is just the beginning.
