same here for Windows Seven, it also says "The network connection timed out"  Been like this for days.

    That would be problem number 1.  The device MUST be connected to the Internet to download software updates.
    I am guessing you are trying to download an iOS update, common causes for the error you mentions are Anti-Virus or Firewall software on the computer preventing files from downloading.
    If this doesn't address your issue, try rewording your issue so that we can better understand the problem you are having.

    Hello, perhaps this may help: http://blogs.isaserver.org/shinder/2006/03/05/explanation-on-the-502-error-to-de lta-and-sun-sites/ the comments have some specific references to iTunes.
    The issue is that it's almost certainly a problem with your firewall/proxy and not iTunes so you might be hard-pressed to find help here as suggesting help for private LAN infrastructure is not the same as suggesting help for iTunes. Usually I'd suggest turning the proxy off and work your way backwards to find out where the problem is but I guess this isn't possible.
    Anyway, have a look at the link and see if it helps.

    I have an iPad2 using Wi-Fi through my home computer. The device seems to hook up to iTunes on the computer and sync all applications. On my App Store icon on the iPad2 it shows "16". when i try to update I get the message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" select OK. All other selections such as Purchased, Categories, Top Charts, Genius and Featured all seem to work. I was even able to download an app. I used to be able to update apps from my iPad2 through any wireless connection. Anyone have a fix for me.

    See if this weird fix works for you.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.

    Since I've updated to iTunes 11 I get error code 15006. I can go into iTunes and re-select the remote device (an Airport Express) and it works fine. If I put my computer to sleep it generates the 15006 error. It happens at my work computer too which runs the same basic network.

    Here are a couple articles that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue. 
    Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
    Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
    Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
    Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
    If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

     when i turn on the camera  and its trying to read the battery the message i get is " cannot connect with battery"  i thought it was a defective battery and went out and bought a new one and still kept getting the same message.  what can i do ?     Yes! It is a factory defect and Canon should recall 7D and 60D for this problem in stead to charge $230 for their own quality issue. I have 7D and not using it that often, it shows the same error message. Cleaning can not fix it at all! It was the soldering bad point at the battery and the little circuit board next to it, based on an engineer who repaired it by himself. Canon pro's: If you guys are cate about the Name of Canon then take these cameras back and fix them for free! Otherwise, the customers will switch to Nikon soon.

    I am due for an upgrade on 5/23 and I am trying to find out if I can get my phone through the Apple store?  I have an iphone 4 and am hoping to upgrade to a iphone5.  Just want to make sure if the price is the same as if I went to a Verizon store to upgrad. 

    I don't believe they were looking for a trade in, they are due for a subsidized Verizon upgrade. I think the bringing the iPhone 4 was for setting it up and transferring as Verizon does not require you to swap your previous phone for an upgrade.

    Ok, I have now gotten Reader 10 installed, can open files from my desktop but IE 9 keeps crashing when I try to open PDF files even though I exited and relaunched IE 9.  I did take ownership of all the folders containing Reader 10 and then clicked OK when I got the error notice about the shortcut being installed.     Getting a message when I try to log in to iTunes or app store.  Getting message can not connect to iTunes store.

    Saw this on another post.
    Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.
