i need help connecting ipod touch to wi-fi, not sure what i am doing wrong, can anyone help? ps. i am not very computer savy

- Do other devices successfully connect to the router?
- Does the iPod successfully connect to other networks?

Hey Ehlam Managua, You have tried a different set of headphones, still no joy-- OK. (1st step in trouble shooting completed). Just to be clear the sound still works through the speaker, correct? If so, try quickly plugging / unplugging the headphone jack about 12 times, there is a tiny switch inside the port that may be stuck closed. If so the plugging / unplugging should free it up. If still no joy, have you tried turning your iPod off then turn it back on? If that doesn't work go into Setting>General>Reset then tap Reset All Settings. If still no joy, connect with your computer, make a full set of backups from this iPod to your computer, then Restore to Backup. If still won't work, Restore to New. If still nothing, could be dealing with a hardware issue. Contact your Apple store and set up an appointment to have your iPod evaluated.

I am having the same issue. I just had the battery replaced at a third party store. The battery powers the ipod up but it needs to be restored. It is saying it isn't eligible for rebuild. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Can't connect iPhone 4s to Time Machine says "unable to join network"

as of a few days ago I had no problems. Now I can only connect my Macbook air and iPad and a PC laptop to my wifi from my Time Capsule. I cannot connect my iPhone 4s iPod touch 3rd or 2nd generation or a PS Vita. I have reset the Time Capsule, I have unplugged it, I have restored it back to factory settings and I have unplugged my cable modems and the most I have been able to get out of it is everything will connect to my network that I have set up but only for a minute then they say the same thing "unable to join the network". Is there anyone out there having the same problem? I took everything into Apple the other day and we reset everything and I had to do the same thing when I got back home and still the same problems.

He can pair his iPhone to his Macbook, but cannot CONNECT. He's NOT asking for alternative solutions, like Wi Fi.
I am able to both pair and connect my one one Macbook to my other one, but I can only pair but not connect my iPhone or iPad to either Macbook. So I have the same problem. But I can pair and connect my Macbooks to other Bluetooth devices, like my ancient Nokia cellfone, or my Bluetooth HP printer.
It's irrelavent that I can instead use a direct USB cable or Wi Fi between my Macbooks and my iPhone/iPad - why can't I use Bluetooth? If Apple does not allow Bluetooth between it's Macbooks and other Mac devices, then why have Bluetooth at all? Does my iPhone have Bluetooth only so that I can pair and connect to my my non Apple mobile handsfree car kit, or communicate easily with the dreaded Apple enemy Samsung, or what?
Make no mistake , I am a diehard Apple fan, but this Bluetooth non compatibility issue appears shortsighted and seemingly pointless. Why does Apple not just say why they created the non compatibility, or have a message on the Bluetooth setup programme which simply and clearly says "don't bother wasting hours of your time trying to pair and connect your iPhone to your Macbook, because we don't allow that anymore, reason being that............"?

Below are the troubleshooting steps to try to figure out why:

I would follow the steps in order, but this section is specific to your error message:
If you're unable to join a nearby Wi-Fi network
Try restarting your Wi-Fi router by turning it off and then on again.
Note: If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
When joining an 802.11n Wi-Fi network, ensure that your router is properly configured. See this article for more information.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings, including passwords, VPN, and APN settings.

Trying to connect/sync first gen iPod touch to Compaq laptop

I've had this iPod touch for about a little over a year and a half and it's in perfect condition, it's just when I plug it into my laptop using the USB cord my laptop won't even recognize it and the iPod won't even charge, let alone sync. I know it's not the cord because it works perfectly when my brother charges/syncs his iPod on his laptop. My iPod will charge when I plug it into my dock I just can't get it working on my laptop and I haven't updated my music in a couple of months and it is absolutely killing me. I've tried everything and I will end my run on sentences now okay PLEASE HELP.

What app are yuo using? The TV out connection only works for app that support its use and it does not mirror the iPod's screen. The native Video supports TV out.

I have an iPhone 4 and when trying to listen to iTalk Conservative Talk Radio Station, somedays it works fine, but today it wouldn't connect at all, and this is not first time happened......I have 3 little service bars showing, and my WiFi connection is good. When I can't connect to the iTalk station, a window pops up and says "you are out of 3G WiFi, check your internet connections".................everything appears to be in order, however. Curious why some days it works/connects and other days it totally refuses!

I do have parental controls on my account, but other accounts on the computer have it too and their iTunes store works just fine.

Hi, Im in the UK, & i have an ipod touch 1stGen and it refuses to connect to the itunes store via the phone, i get an error message: 'Cannot connect to itunes store'
i have a router and wireless network which is working fine, as i have an iphone 3GS and that connects without fail, it will connect to the net using safari, that is working fine, its just itunes it wont.
i've updated the latest version of itunes on my pc, but it still wont connect, can anyone help? or have any ideas as to why my ipod is being so stubborn
