Tried to install both Firefox 5.0 and 5.0.1, and received the same error message that a file ending in .dylib was in use. I cannot locate that file, and Finder does not recognize it.

I have a Power PC Mac with OS 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.28, the latest versions supported on my machine, and all of my plug-ins are the latest versions available for that browser version. I too get the warning message all the time and it is very annoying. I have never had any "security" problems, and I don't go along with this imperative to always be upgrading equipment. Don't these corporate geeks understand that we're in a global economic contraction and a lot of us are unemployed/underemployed? They want us to be good consumers and "switch to a newer computer" but I can't afford that. Like, if I can't fix my old car, I won't be able to drive. Finalizing creates small, medium and large version of the finished video. It does take a long time, but it should not destroy your project files.
Oh, and you really MUST have a backup of your files. You can expect to lose files if you have no other copies of them.

As shldr2thewheel pointed out, a 2013 MacBook would have shipped with Mountain Lion installed. It is a specialized version for that specific model, so a version of Mountain Lion downloaded from the Mac App Store will not work.
If you ever need to reinstall the OS, just use the built-in recovery partition, or Internet Recovery.

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

TErminate the processes in activity monitor an/ or configure Safari tomnot use the quick launcher and automatic update check so that those processes aren't used to begin with.

Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

You have to supply much more info to be able to start guessing.
• What material was used ? Video codec, Audio file format and Photo file format
• Free space on Start-Up hard disk. How much ?
• Brand of DVD used ?
• Type of DVD used ?
• Burn speed set down or not ?
• Version of iMovie, iDVD'11 v 7.1.2 (OK), QuickTime and Mac OS ( X.6.8 I read ? )
And all extra info You can supply - that set's us on track.

If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. Contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.
