I have been trying to download the new update for iTunes 11.0.4 but each time I select update an error message comes up .(103)

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Now restart your iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

I have a first generation MacBook Air that has been refurbished via the Apple store. I installed Snow Leopard about a year ago and now, my computer wont update! It will download the updates restart my computer, but then I get an error message and the computer wont restart!
What is a error message and what do you see when it appears?
Haven't much problem with Airs around here, since they have a SSD they tend to be more reliable.
Perhaps it was a bad update, have you ran through this list of possible fixes?
Do as many as possible, starting with #1. Until the problem is resolved.
Use the boot 10.6 USB instead of the disk of course.

I get the message that the latest software version is available, when I download it I get an error message and lose access to my existing programme. The only way I can use iTunes again is to restore my PC to before the download. Any ideas out there?

When attempting to upgrade to 10.9.3 my Aple Store app locked up and gave me an error code of NSURLE ERROR Domain error-1012. It still thinks I need the upgrade even thogh I have successfully downloaded and installed it through another source. How can I correct this?

What is a 1004 error
Most often a connection error. Since you are (I assume) seeing this on your iPad, the solution that often solves this is to reboot your iPad. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. Once back up, try again and see if there is still an issue.

I am having the same issue. I just had the battery replaced at a third party store. The battery powers the ipod up but it needs to be restored. It is saying it isn't eligible for rebuild. When I try to download free updates for apps, I've suddenly started getting an error message saying "You cannot update this software since you have not owned the major version of this software".
But I HAVE owned the software, for ages. (And, in any case, the apps in question are all free.)
And I don't have multiple Apple IDs.
What can I do?
Any advice much appreciatedThis can occur if you bought the machine used and iLife was reinstalled with another AppleID.
This also can occur if the "free apps" you downloaded have paid upgraded versions and/or are now payware and you can't get updates.
All software from MAS is copy protected, it might be free as in "no charge" but it's not free in the sense you can share it with others. -
