Does everything else on your computer work as expected, is it only firefox that you have a problem with ?

Try firefox on a file on the local computer, eg save a web page and open it on your harddrive with firefox, presumably that works ok without giving messages of not responding.

no problems with ITunes on Dell Inspiron Windows 7 until yesterday. ITunes version 11.0.2. iphone won't connect stating required software is not installed. uninstall and install 64 bit version of iTunes. I have 64 bit version already. When re-installing ITunes get error message c:\programdata\34be82c4-e596-4e99-a191-52c6199ebf6\x64\difxinst64.exe. file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. please install or create an association in the Default Programs control panel. iTunes install continues after the difxinst64.exe error message but then get the iphone cannot be used error message again. therefore, I can't sync my iphone with iTunes until I figure this out.
can't win for losing. had iTunes on my windows 7 laptop for 4 years. first time I've ever encountered this.I am a PC Tech and had a customer with this issue. Ran across this post in my search and ended up finding the solution on my own. The problem isn't with the iTunes software but the installer for the GEARAspi drivers. Really the issues is with the file type asssociations in the windows registry. On the system I was working on the HKCR key for .exe should point to the exefile key but pointed to nothing. To fix it create a new txt document and paste the following in (only paste what is in between the [code][/code] tags):

What do I do when I get an error message: Could not write value ManageLLRouting to key\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BonjourService\Parameters. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel?

In this thread the OP found their AV solution appeared to be blocking access to the registry.

You should be able to recover the media with the tips in this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into a newly authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup. That might switch the assocation of the device to the new machine but I couldn't say for sure.

Which particular .msi file does the message go on to say cannot be found? (Several different .msi files might be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I own an iMac 2011. I am unable to reinstall and launch premiere pro cc. We I attempt to run the program I get a error message saying that the adobe application manager is missing or need to be updated. I reinstalled the manager but I am still unable to launch any of my programs from adobe. I tried to do a trail with a program and I am still getting the same message.

Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool. After the CC Cleaner Tool is run then please reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application from Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop.
The CC Cleaner Tool is designed to be used after running the uninstallers. Without running the uninstallers first then a complete removal may not be possible. -

I am using Windows 7 and trying to download iTunes, but when I try to open the iTunes set up it gives an error message saying that it is not a "valid win32 application". It does the same for downloading quicktime. I have no idea what this means or what to do about it.
That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
