When opening a link in an email, the App store page always opens, instead of what should open.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

In the support notification I received questioning the file version running on my computer, the link I had a problem with http://www.harleyhowto.com/forum/register.php\ was also included. When I clicked on the link I went directly to the site with no problem. Then I opened the original email containing the same link, clicked and went to 404 NOT FOUND ! I'm going back to the web site and go through the registration process again and keep my fingers crossed hopping it works when they send a new verification email . No links from external programs will open - this is usually kind of ok since I can cut and paste, but some links from databases don't provide copy-able links, meaning I cannot access information via Firefox.

I updated Firefox yesterday to 3.6.9. When I receive a URL link in an email within Outlook, I cannot open the link in Firefox. As I said in the question, when I click on the link, a Microsoft Office Outlook error message appears which states that a General failure has occurred in sending the command to the application (which is Firefox). I am using Office 2007 This did not occur prior to the upgrade of Firefox.

I have Windows XP and microsoft outlook with Firefox as my browser; when I try to open a link in an email I get the following message "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator"

KEEP GETTING "Unsupported 16-Bit Application" when trying to download Blackberry Link. Im trying to sync music into my new Z10. here is the whole error message:

I not able to open any links in the emails I receive and get an "Error: No associated application could be found" when I click on a link. HELP!! What's going on? This happened after I downloaded Chrome and then decided to delete it.

when trying to send a link off firefox via email the system looks for a g mail account that I do not have nor want to have. I've told the settings to use my outlook account but it keeps looking for g mail. how do i correct?

After downloading mountain lion, I get an error message when trying to use a link in mail. One mail account on the same computer is fine, but not the other one. Any suggestions?
I went to the Apple Genius Bar for help. Somehow when I downloaded Mountain Lion one of the mail accounts on the computer changed from an IMAP account to a POP account. The POP account doesn't enable the links in email. It was a quick fix. Just go to prefrences in your mail account and change it to an IMAP account. Hope this works for you as it did for me.

No, you didn't change a setting. Try this and see if it fixes the problem.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
When I click on a link from my emails it opens automatically through firefox. I want to disable this feature as I would like to go back to Chrome. I don't want to uninstall Firefox all together but I don't want it to be my main browser either.
