I cannot open Thunderbird. Above message appears on screen.
I suggest you download a fresh copy from getthunderbird.com and reinstall. I do not know what has caused it, but a reinstall should refresh the files and fix it.

So I click ‘upgrade’

TheoIs your Apple Intel-based, poppelmacbook? If not, you should consider treating yourself to a new Mac. Last December I gave up my old because it just could not update...anything because it was not Intel-based. Updating everything on this OS to 10.9 has been confusing for me, but I just could not work with that old Mac because the updates were too smart? for my 10.6. It is upstairs now...for visiting family: games, garage band, etc.--things I never did use. Apple refurbished and purchase the extended warranty. Apple loyalist since late 1980's.

After trying to updat from 4.0 RC2 to 5.0.1 Error message appears

When trying to download app message appears "Unknown error" cannot download anything
When trying to download/buy an app or book etc a message appears after I have put in my apple password " Unknown error" and I am currently unable to download anything. I can download on my iPhone using my account
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
1. Settings>Store>Apple ID.
2. Tap your ID and sign out.
3. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off.
4. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to download again. -

[This question is in regards to a friend's problem <> she somehow [LOL] lost TB]
She already has Thunderbird installed on her computer [Windows XP Home] and it was working fine yesterday. As I said, I don't know what she did to "lose" TB but today, when she tried to access her email, TB kept asking her to "create" a new account.
Not only is TB installed on her computer, but there is an existing profile under Docs & settings [from the tree on the "C" drive].
So, I created a new account and then, from the "profile" under the Docs & settings [owner<>app. data<>TB<>Profiles etc. I selected the correct folder and Ta Ta!!!! There was all of her emails, folders addies etc..
What do you think she did to "lose" TB? What could she have deleted or corrupted to attain this "computer illiterate level"
Has anyone ever encountered this problem, created this problem, or found out HOW it happened in the first place.

EllenThe computer probably crashed while TB was open, so TB lost the location of the profile. I suppose this might happen if an overzealous AV program was fighting for 'control' of the mail folders. See item 2. of 'Lost Profile' for a way to possibly prevent this in the future:

It started a year ago when I opened Firefox I got an error message, so I removed firefox & re-installed it. Still no go! So I opened "C" drive & searched for anything "firefox" & found a 2002 version!! I deleted everything, restart, & installed firefox and what I get now is what you see above.

I just agreed to a update of iTunes and now I get a "language" error when trying to open it.
I just agreed to an update of iTunes on my imac (running OS-X 10.8.4) and now I get an error when trying to open iTunes. The error is: "This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the English version." What?
I'm not a tecchie and could really use some step-by-step instructions on how to get my Itunes working again! I've never changed the language on my Mac...have no idea where this language error came from.

installed 6.0.2 on windows 7 version kb2607712 but when firefox starts get error XUL Runner platform version 6.0.1 is not compatible with mivesrion >=6.0.2 maxversion >=6.0.2'. have uninstalled and downloaded and re-installed but same problem occurs.. after this firefox wont start at all.
