I have checked this on my device. I see a Default account under Messages created outside of Mail will be sent from the default account. There is an account selected, though it does not show my exchnage account. If it is only an exchange accout, can that not be used for this?

Did you launch iPhoto with the Option(Alt) and Commnad keys held down like Terence suggested? If you did it properly you will get this window:
The second option is the one you want to run.

I have several users in an exchange environment who cannot email a photo from the iPhone. When the click on Email Photo, they are prompted to configure a mail account even though there is already an exchange account in place. How do I remediate this? Not all of the users in our environment have this issue. If the users having this issue, install a secondary email account, Gmail, Hotmail, etc, then they can send through those accounts. Why would the exchange account not be seen to send photos?
Sounds like it worked until the policies associated with the account that are creating the problem were fully pushed down.
Try setting up a new (test) Exhange account and see if it behaves the same way on the phone (after removing the problem account from the phone, of course). -
When trying to send a link via email, can not do so without closing outlook which is my default
I am operating on Windows 7. If I want to send a link of the web site I am viewing via email, I cannot do so unless I first close Outlook. Outlook is my default and Tools-Options-Applications confirms that. How do I Fix

When trying to share a photo via email, recipeint says nothing is attached
We regularly email photos from iphoto to friends and clients, some who have mac's and some who have PC's. However lately, the people with Macs, with the latest iphoto and iphoto update, say they are getting the emails with photos attached but those who use outlook say the emails (when sent through iphoto) are coming to them with no attachments. The emails are set up properly, so what's the problem?

99% it is their set up on their email client - if you use Apple Mail as your your e-mail client then set the for mat to plain text and it will work for almost all emails clients with almost all set ups

Click the Edit Contacts button, the silhouette, in the email attachments panel to bring up the contact book and enter the addresses there. In the contact book, click the new contact button to start entering the information.

IPhone 5 - Insert picture from email doesn't work, but sending in Photos via email does?
I have an issue with a user here at my office. When composing an email and they insert a picture from their phone, it sends the email, but the picture is not attached.
However, if we go to Photos and send the photo via email, it works fine.
He had been able to send fine up until yesterday afternoon and then it stopped working, so I believe he's done something, but I have no idea what. Took a look at his settings and everything seems normal. Also, rebooted his phone, but the same issue occurs. And as far as I know, he's the only one having this issue.
We are running email via Lotus Traveler/Domino, but I've tested my iPhone and everything sends fine, so I don't believe this is a server issue.
Does anyone have any idea of what to try here?

When trying to send E-mail via AOL i get the message "rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying" I have checked settings as per answers to similar question
From which account does the email not send? When sending from an account, the iPad will first try to use the aoutgoing server for that account. If it can't it will try the other accounts listed.in the setting on the iPad for that account. It soulds like the server for the account is not working and that the alternate server is resjecting the messag since it did not originate ffrom the account associated with that server, That is to prevent sending spam.

Tip: If you see a sheet or dialog that states 'Enter the password for user "email address'", this indicates that the email service provider is having an issue with the password being sent by Mail, or there is an issue with the email account. Contact the email service provider for support. ChooseWindow > Connection Doctor click "Show Detail" then click "Check Again". The information displayed in the "Show Detail" drawer may include details from the email service provider about what the issue is. Look for headers that start with "[ALERT]".

To make attachments not appear in the body of the e-mail as a default, try using the Applications/Utilities/Terminal command below. I suggest copy and paste.
