When trying to start Firefox Iget this message "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close". How do I solve this?
I downloaded and installed FF with no problem. But it will not run. I get the above message everytime. IE runs -no problem! Google Chrome does the same as Firefox!
What can be the problem?

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down ''shift'' while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].
There is also a lot of useful stuff in the [[Firefox crashes]] Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/latest-firefox-issues#w_firefox-crashes-when-i-start-it this article] as well.

When I attempt to open iTunes I get that message. I recently had some work done on my computer and had stopzilla installed but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with my problem.
I have re-installed and repaired iTunes.

I spent over an hour on the phone with support yesterday and nothing we tried worked. It appears to get hung-up when it's syncing (at 178 or 12521 songs). I'm desperate to get this fixed and appreciate any ideas or suggestions of things to try. -
ITunes has encountered a problem and needs to close when adding movie files
So.. I haven't done anything recently with installing any new versions of itunes or anything of the such. Just one day whenever I tried to add .mp4 files (videos) on my ipod using Itunes, it crashes with the error message "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." and it closes the application. I can add music files just fine.
anyone else having this issue? If so, can you let me know what you have done to fix this problem?
Also, I got fed up today and decided to uninstall Itunes and Quicktime and then downloaded the most recent off Apple's site and that still didn't work.
Please help....
Ipod Video 80GB Windows XPOne other thing.. all the movies that I currently have in Itunes that once worked no longer work either. It crashes when I attempt to play them as well in Itunes.

I have an iPod Touch version iOS 4.2.1, 8 G capacity, and whenever iTunes tries to sync my iPod, I get an error message saying "Mobile Backup has encountered a problem and needs to close", and the sync fails. In checking [http://www.whatsrunning.net/QueryProductID.aspx?Product=16854] it is a file owned by Microsoft. I suggest you check your registry for errors. -

Firefox was working well. One day I logged on to use Firefox and was prompted to update my version which I did. After or during the update the following message was given on the screen "firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close". It closed and now every time I click on the firefox icon I get the same message from Microsoft. That is all the information I get. Each time I go to open Firefox I get the same message. There is an error message attached to the Microsoft dialog box, but I don't understand what it means.

Stacey FeatherstoneCan you run Firefox long enough to display the Add-ons page? Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable. (Remove also is available for some extensions, but not the ones that Firefox found in a registry scan or shared folder elsewhere on your system.)
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Any improvement?
If you cannot access the Add-ons page, try starting Firefox in Safe Mode, since that deactivates extensions and hopefully will stop that message from coming up long enough to get to the Add-ons page.
