I am trying to copy a book from digital editions to my nook and am told "You do not have permission to copy this book". Yet all I want to do is move a copy to read it.
The publisher of the book seems to have restricted copying of the book on to other devices. Contact the book distributor.

Thanks.IMHO the free apps are a band aid fix. If the OP uses Office on a regular basis he will need to upgrade anyway. Personally I have used neooffice and found it substandard however that was just my take. I haven't tried Google's solution.
We both forgot to mention the OP could also use Pages and Numbers to open their Word and Excel files. If he uses Entourage then Mail and iCal would be viable substitutes. -

My artwork meets the specifications though I have gotten error messages stating that 300x300, 600x600, and 1400x1400 are the proper format. I have tried all of these. I've only gotten the artwork error message a couple of times. The most common error message I receive is, as stated above, "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later." I have tried uploading the podcast from a different computer and on an different network. Have any of you had this same issue, been able to work through it?

I also get the following message when I try again that the path cannot be found for iTunes.msiUnfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
I'm using Photoshop CC 2014. When I click on Define Custom Shape, there is an error box that says "could not complete your request because of a program error." How can I solve this problem or work around it? I've looked on the internet for answers but could find no solutions to this. The custom shape tool is 99% of what I use!
Consider resetting the Pen tool by right clicking here
and if that doesn't solve the problem a logical next step would be to reset your Preferences.
To reset Preferences:
If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close it (Quit). Then hold down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.
A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to delete the existing Preferences file (the "Settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing Preferences file will be scrapped and a new one will be created.
By the way, if "The custom shape tool is 99% of what I use!" have you considered Illustrator? -

The problem with write permissions for the OneDrive folder only shows up in Lightroom 6's export dialogue, that's why it's to irritating. Lightroom 5.7.1 is not having that problem nor does the file explorer. The problem also exists on both of my machines. It keeps telling me to downloan iTune9.0.2 (or newer) but I have the most up to date version of iTunes. Also tells me the device is not connected, but it is.

iTunes is updated and works fine and I am able to log onto my account. When I go to purchase a song, I get the error message "Your Apple ID has been disabled". I've tried different methods: changing passwords, making a new account with another email address, and emailing itunes tech support. I am curious as to how many others have been experiencing the same issue. When I googled the error, it seemed like it was happening extremely often with many people.

I just realized today that the charges are not fraudulent, they are "in app purchases." One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things. It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!. My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money. She spent $106.00 buying stuff. Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes. I'm hoping this solves the problem. I keep getting an error message that says "The administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" when I try to install iTunes. I have tried everything on the website. When i try to remove the components of iTunes I get the same message. How can I download iTunes?
Let's try something relatively simple. Download and save a copy of the installer to your hard drive (don't run the install on line and don't start the install just yet):

Now right-click on the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) that you downloaded and select "Run as administrator".

Sign out of iMessage in the Accounts tab of the preferences dialog, then sign back in.

Log out of your user account and log back in.

Boot in safe mode and test, then reboot as usual and test again.
Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
