I really thought signing out would do because that works frequently for the unknown error message. Try these two things.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.

Select a broken track and press ctrl-i to Get Info. Look on the summary tab for the location where iTunes "thinks" the file should be. Where is it really? Post back the two locations and I can suggest the best approach.

Find Acrobat.exe on your computer. Right click the program and click 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'. Set the compatibility to Windows XP service pack 3.

When trying to change ringtone I keep getting the error message file type not supported.

I have downloaded some ringtones fro VZ Tones and when I go to make them the default it gives me the error message file type not supported. If I go to my storage and try to look at pictures, it tells me the same thing.

That's definitely odd CrystiDawn, and I understand it can be quite frustrating. Let's get to the bottomof this. What device make and model phone do you have? Did you receive a text message with a link to download the ringtones? If so, once downloaded, please go to all your Apps, locate "Files" and play the ringtone using the media player. You will have the option to set it as ringtone while playing and pressing the menu icon. Were the pictures taken from the phone or transferred using the USB cable?

A message about a problem with a previous purchase usually means that iTunes wasn't able to collect the money for the last purchase - until you pay what is owed you won't be able to download anything else from the store, including app updates and redownloading past purchases.
If you log into your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes and go to the payment details screen, is there any indication that you owe iTunes money or any error messages about your payment method ? If there is then try re-entering the payment method's details, or try entering a different card's details.

Site is "come in". I've run all scans, two lots of malawre and windows security essentials, reset firefox, checked network settings, in fact everything suggested on here. Help !!!!

Turn off any antivirus or software security program.
Download the update patch 11.0.10 manually from the below link and run it.

Restart the computer from Apple menu.
When restart dialog box appears, uncheck the box beside
