When trying to use sharing, I get Connection Failed

When trying to use my OSX 10.75 laptop to access files on my OSX 10.6.8 laptop it says "Connection Failed". In the console, it says:
Finder: SharePointBrowser::handleEnumerateCallBack returned -6600
File sharing is turned on in the target computer. I have a user account setup for file sharing. That user account has read/write access setup.
I have tried to turn off sharing and turn it back on.
I have tried to remove the shared folders, make new folders and then share those new folders.
I have tried both guest access as well as access with a specific user account.
Nothing works. I get the error message above no matter what I do.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I don't know if this is a result of anything I did. It started happening after I installed the latest version of Garageband. When I went into that app, and selected one of the instruments, it directed me to use software update to get all the data for the instruments. That's when I first got the message box. Later, I uninstalled Garageband, and still the update problem continues. Obviously, when this problem first occurs, it will have been after installing *some* app, so I have no way of knowing whether Garageband is involved. I don't think I can update any of my applications until this problem is fixed.

Not Valid Session when trying to use Shared or Source Control Repository

When I try to use the Shared Repository or the Source Control Repository to create a new Visual Composer model, the button "New ..." to create a new DC is disable.
After an investigation in the logs of CE server, I have found this problem :

I may have already resolved this issue buy removing the device from my computer and re-pairing it. It is currently working just fine.

This happens with two different apps from two different banks. One of them works occasionally and have not figured out why. I have cell signal and I am on a strong WiFi network. Same thing happens when I turn off the WiFi too. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the app with no improvement. I can't seem to find any setting that would cause this. Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

As mentioned, starting with version of Premiere Elements that is being used and the computer operating system on which it is running are important in generating troubleshooting strategy.
But, the description of what you wrote caught my attention with the words "trying to start" and mention of need for Internet connection when you knew one existed. What was the exact full message from the program in this regard?
Depending on further details from you, you may have run into the same issue that I did recently. I have written about the experience including the remedy

MobileMe no longer exists...that system was discontinued and merged into iCloud.
Your old MobileMe email addresses shoule still be valid, or convert into some form of user@ me .com or icloud . com.
