When downloading Premiere Pro CC, in Creative Cloud, I'm getting a message:
Update Failed
Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press retry.
(U44M1210)
Sometimes it happens when I'm updating extensions.
Can I directly download and update apps WITHOUT using the Creative Cloud desktop app ?
Please advice.I had the same problem on a Mac (CC update failing with a U44M1210 error.
. I just finished a chat with an Adobe specialist who walked me through the solution. So I recommend a chat to solve the problem for me (and I suspect all Mac users).
The Solution essentially this came down to the following:
Deleting the following:
OOBE and AAM Updater folders from ~/library/Application Support/Adobe
OOBE and Adobe Application Manager folders from /Library/Application Support/Adobe
Reinstalling the Adobe Application Manager.
Restarting the Creative cloud Application. -
I am running Photoshop CC 2014 on iMac OS X and have recently had to reinstall the OS following upgrade to an SSD. I cannot update Photoshop as it says it is unable to extract the downloaded files (U44M1/2010). Should I reinstall Photoshop and Bridge from scratch or is there an easier way?@@ !
Sounds like you transferred programs from another drive? This isn't a very good way to do it. Yes, re-install the Adobe apps.

I am downloading my apps. I get the message above and if I retry it still doesn't work.
Without system information nobody can advise. This error can have a million causes, mopst notably simply running out of (temporary) disk space during the extraction/ installation.

When I try to do a CC update I get an U44M1I210 error message, "Update failed - Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press retry to download again. (U44M1I210)" - help please - re-downloading makes no difference, applies to latest Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CC, others seemed to update without problems. I can see the disk image files in AAMUpdater folder but they will not open and come up with "couldn't be opened - resource busy" message.
Yes Jeff, I did all those several times to no avail.
I've included a small error snippet from two installs here. In Creative Cloud when updating the Apps, all 3 get to 50%, then the failure occurs. Retrying starts at 50% and fails the same way each time.
This first one is a segment from the Indesign updater - I have always had the all hard drive folders with read and write privileges allowed and I checked again, this is still the case so I do not know why this particular error message is arising. The second snippet if from the Illustrator update.

InDesign Update Failed. "Unable to extract the downloaded files."
It shows a number (U44M11210). I've already tried restarting my computer.
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0
I deleted the 1.0 directory and then reran and it worked. I followed the instructions exactly as above in another post (and reposted just below):

to fix this (on a PC)
1: open up the Creative Cloud control panel, and quit out.
2: Navigate to C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater
3: Delete (or rename) the directory named "1.0"
4: restart Creative Cloud
5: Got to the App manager and update -
Attempting to update Bridge CC and Photoshop CC 2014 from the Creative Cloud program generates error "Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press Retry to download again.(U44M1I210). I am running Windows 7. Previous traffic on this topic has not helped my situation.
Please clean AAM cache By deleting following folder contents:
For Mac:
· /Volumes/%Volume Name%/Users/%Username%/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0
For Win:
· C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0
Then try running Updates.

Lightroom was unable to prepare the selected file at

It will not be opened.
what does this mean? can anyone help?Yes it is on a portable drive yet I have already worked with it and exported it as a jpg. The problem arises whenever I try to edit in the plug-ins from Nik software...this just happened recently as it never happened before...for years?

CC Update: Errorcode U44M1I210 – Unable to extract the downloaded files
Hello!
Creative Suite CC on OSX 10.9.
Everytime i try to update over Application Manager the above mentioned errorcode shows up. Already deleted Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0 – problem is still there
Also repaired user rights via disk utitlity – problem is still there
Any hints on that? Without completely reinstall everything? Any chance to download the files via the web and install it manually?

I dont know what else to try. Very frustrating.
