When turning my ipod on it refers me to the support website
I hadn't used my ipod in about 2 months. After leaving it to charge for 4 hours I switched it on and it came up saying
www.apple.com/support/ipod
and then turns off again.
I have tried resetting it but this doesn't help. Any ideas????
Jay
You're suggestion worked.... but I had to "forget network" twice and after a series of frustrating reboots, I was able to log on after manually inserting wireless SSID etc.
Many thanks.
Now, if I can only get an app to walk the dog in the morning.... I'd be set!
Cheers,
Joe

Please Help!
If the steps on the support site failed to correct the issue, it notes that the issue is likely hardware related with the iPod's hard drive, meaning you'll want to have it serviced/replaced either by Apple or a third party service.

Captions are not respected when turned off under Accessibility and still appear in the native player, how do I turn of captions for the native player?
Restart your computer while holding down left mouse key. That will eject the CD and your Mac will start as normal.

Bought an app one month ago. Now it demands that I repay the subscription fee for it. Tried to report problems on iTunes and just get referred back to Apple Support website. What do I do?
Micromedex Drug Interactions. The app itself is free. A one year subscription costs $9.99. It worked fine for a month. THen an "update" was automatically installed and it now demands a new $9.99 payment. Thank you.

When turning on my mac I get the first white screen with the apple logo but it will not load to the next login screen
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there. -
The iMac is brand new and it happens with both the Magic Mouse and another mouse (Logitec) I'm using regulary. This happens when either my desktop pc is turned on (located about 4 feet from the iMac), or my laptop pc when located on the same table as the iMac. Once they are turned off the problem goes away.
Help would be highley appriciated...
Thanks.Do you have an Install Disc?
If so...

HT201472 Stolen ipod, can't get anywhere with the support
My ipod touch was stolen in the week, and I haven't set up the 'find my iphone/ipod' setting on icloud yet.
Wanted to talk to someone about how to proceed, so went to the support area. All general topics were about use, clicked on 'other topic',
wrote in "stolen ipod", then it asks my to write in my serial number, which i can find on the device screen, only i can't because its been stolen!!
Can't seem to contact anyone without it, now totally stuck
I just want to freeze/wipe the device so no one can hack into my accountsAs you did not setup Find My iPhone or take a note of the serial number you can not locate or wipe the device now.

I am trying to get into the ipod to save the files, if, in fact, there are any files left. I have followed the steps in the "support steps" all the way through the "Services" inputs. But I still can not get the unit to reset to the point where I can retrieve my files. Whenever it is that it does show in iTunes (and it doesn't always), there is a message that says that the unit should be restored. Restoring will delete all files. So it suggests that I backup the files on the unit. If I can't see the files, for the previously stated reasons, how can I possibly "back up" any files?
As you can see, I need HELP!!!!!!!Hello dhhatfield,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like you have a red x on the iPod. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Why when turning my ipod touch 4 generation off i get a pixcelated loading logo?
My ipod touch has a pixcelated loading logo when i power it down. I think this might be on all devices but why? Is there a fix?
- Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
- Next, reset the iPod
To reset the iPod without the hardware buttons,
Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. All your wifi and bluetooth preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected. You will have to rejoin wifi networks and repair BT devices
Then you can try:
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -

I have an email that has my Certificate of Completion as part of the email. I can't save it to my desktop since the whole site of my email messages appear again!
I need to upload my Certificate of Completion of a course I completed onto a professional website so I can
get credit for attending it.
I think it has to be a PDF file.I misunderstood. You want to print the entire email in a way that looks decent.
Most email sites have a "printable view" link or button. This may be in an obscure location. For example, on Outlook.com, it is on the ... menu (last item on the menu bar when viewing a message).
If you want to PDF the email, you can print it to a PDF printer driver. Examples include:
* PrimoPDF - http://www.primopdf.com/
* PDF Creator - http://www.pdfforge.org/
