When typing a ? I get É and am wondering how to change it.?

My poor sister has her Powerbook G4 and has no ? button. Every time she types it in she get the Capital E with the accent mark over it. Re-starting the computer doesnt fix it either. I know how to toggle it back and forth on Windows (having just learned tonight) but I am not sure if it would be the same for Mac. And I dont have her computer here to test it myself and she is away.
Windows if you hold down CTRL and SHIFT it will switch it back and forth.
I guess it has to do with US/EN and french keyboard settings. If the toggle doesnt work can someone tell me where to find the keyboard settings to make sure it is on US/EN?

Open the International pane of System Preferences and choose the U.S. keyboard layout. The Canadian layout is French in older Mac OS X versions.

Assuming you mean the personal name associated with the account, as opposed to the login (which you can change if it's not an @icloud.com. @me.com or @mac.com address) you can change this at http://appleid.appla.com . Click on 'Manage your account' and then on 'Edit' next to 'Your name' and the name currently associated with the ID.

I am wondering how to get the content of my iPad on to the Mac as I know that sync only happens in one direction, from pc to device. Do I copy my media library or from a backup. I have a backup on my pc and on an external drive. This drive is usb2 and formatted for windows so I can't connect it to a MacBook Air to make the transfer. Equally I don't think there is a way to connect the 2 computers via a cable ie usb2 one end and usb3 the other. Will the computers talk to each other via wifi if I enable home share although I think this is only for music which still leaves contacts, mail etc.

Before trying to isolate an issue, it's always best that one is running the latest Skype release. Which may in itself resolve the issue.

Hi Marc,
I have a shop system comprised of two web applications where one is for
maintaining the shop and the other for using the shop. When I do changes
to the shop from the one webapp they do not show up in the second, unless
I call refresh. Also, I have to switch off the cache, it seems and do a
flush on the changed objects. There are some questions now:
a) when I call refresh, is the complete state reread regardless whether
there have been changes or not or does it know, when the state has not
changed in the DB ? it is a performance question, I guess.
b) can I use transactional reads to do the refresh automatically ?
c) I noticed that refresh does not do a deep refresh of all the objects
referenced by the one to be refreshed. Is there a way to do this or do I
have to go thru all the objects ?
I asked some questions some time ago in another thread, which might refer
to. I am sorry, if I am not clear enough.
